Why Can't I Get My HP Active Stylus To Work?

That links you to a page that has a list of stylus pens and compatible computers. The HP Pavillion x360 should be able to use the HP Active Pen (Synaptics), but for some reason, at least for me, it refuses to connect.

Hello I just recently purched a fatory resetted HP Paviliion 2 n 1 laptop from a friend who barely used it. so im doing all the updates and stuff but im still trying to figure out how to get or to see if a can cast to my chromecast so that we can watch movies and show from it.

Unable to install 1709v display driver
My model number is HP 15-bw071AX, A12 9720P with R7 primary graphics and a linked 535DX. I tried to update from 1703.
Is there a particular step I should follow? Because even after the 1709v display drivers are released by HP, I tried to install it and it has an error saying it failed to install and other times it said "Display driver partially installed". I don't have any screenshots of it unfortunately.
Should I update to 1709 first and then install the driver? or should I install the drivers first and then install the 1709 update?
If I were supposed to do the latter, should I uninstall the existing driver first (with an app like DDU?) and then install the 1709v drivers?

NOTE: I have tried updating to 1709, and I rolled back to 1703 because of this issue. Currently have Windows Updates service turned off to prevent 1709 update from installing on my machine.

NVIDIA M1000M not showing in my control panel
Hi Guys,
Just got this Zbook 15 G3 that is supposed to have a quadro M1000M, the problem is that the Quadro M1000M is not showing on the control panel.
I down loaded the NVIDIA driver from the HP site and attempted to install , but I keep getting this meassage;
"NVIDIA Installer cannot continue, the graphic driver could not find compatible hardware"
The system is meant for seismic interpretration projects, and without the Quadro M1000M, I won't be able to view my seismic in 3D window.

once i have done format and reinstalled my laptop.ine has specification of HD LED Backlit Widescreen BrightView display but now my device manager showing as generic monitor where i can fin right HD display driver for my laptop?

Screen goes blank
1. The screen of my machine will just go blank without warning. I have to do a hard shutdown and then turn it back on. It is fine after that until the next time it goes blank. It doesn't happen with any regular frequency, completely random. Any Ideas?
2. In addition to this it has started restarting on it's own. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it does not. I have usually been using my machine for over an hour when it restarts but it does not always restart.
Any help is appreciated, I do not know a lot about how computers work so make no assumptions please. I will start with the most basic of ideas.

Auto rotation doesn't work Hp Envy x360 Convertible
Brand new Hp Envy x360 Convertible is not autorotating when I flip the screen. Under notifications the 'Rotation Lock' is a drak grey and will not allow me to click on it, this also happens when I've attempted to alter the settings through 'Change Display Settings'. Neither will allow me to correct this issue. I've tried rotating it and holding it up at different angles; like the advise on this chat had said to do, this didn't work. I've restarted it, updated it and fiddled with tablet mode nothing has worked. It began to happen before I downloaded the new Windows 10 and I've only have the laptop for max two weeks. I've barely used it and need to get it fixed ASAP. Thanks.

Touchpad stopped working completely.
So I have a little problem here, who am i kidding its pretty bad. I got this computer from my aunt and she said she had trouble with the touchpad, so I figured i would try and fix it. So far no good. I tried reinstalling the synapsis touch drivers, any mouse drivers available for this pc but nothing is working. I've tried deleting the root hubs, reinstalling the root hubs, turning off the power save on root hubs, nothing. I've basically hit a dead end. I can't find anyway to get this thing to work at all. I even had multiple HP assistants take a look at it with no luck. Anything basically helps now. The one thing the assistants always point out is that my computer doesn't have mouse drivers. I've installed multiple mouse drivers after that and none of them have reappeared in the device manager. They just seem to vanish after the install, having no affect on the computer at all. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Uninstalled Gpu doesnt appear in the device manager
Hi,
I'm using a Hp 17-067nf laptop with an Intel integrated Graphic card and an Nvidia 840m as a dedicated 3d gpu. 8go of ram, 1tb of Hdd (replaced a while ago so it's not the original hp one)
So as you probably know the Windows 10 creators update caused some issues with nvidia graphic cards.
I couldnt play a game or launch a 3d programm running on the dedicated card for more than a minute before the computer crashes and gives me a nice blue screen.
After a lot of problems and after discussion with Microsoft and Nvidia support, i choosed to revert back my nvidia driver to older ones and everything was fixed...
... for a couple of days before windows update decided that it was working way too good and decided to update to the latest driver, i had blue screen again.
A bit in the hurry i choosed to uninstall the driver and restart the computer but after uninstalling the driver, the "standard gpu (vga compatible)" wasnt showing instead there was the nvidia 840m hidden in the device manager, considering that i couldt install or uninstall the driver i choosed to click "uninstall the device".
SInce this moment the nvidia gpu hasnt showed up anymore, i tried rebooting, updating bios, downloading Hp Driver, multiple restart, using DDU on safe mode and uninstall the Intel gpu Driver... nothing works.
I'm willing to do anything to fix it exept the computer reset, not only because it doesnt work (i've seen a lot of forum saying to reset and it didnt changed anything) but because i simply cannot afford to lose my personal and most importantly professional data and programs.
I checked the laptop entirely, opened every part that i could (except the gpu 'cause it's glued) and nothing was damaged, i even removed the cmos battery and put it back on.
In the end i'm stuck with an uninstalled gpu who was working perfectly fine so far.

4K Screen resolution laptop + external screen Frequency
Hello,
I face serveral problems regarding my Laptop 4k display:
1) The laptop has a 4K screen resolution but it's not possible to switch Windows on the 3840x2160 resolution on the laptop screen... How to do it? I'm stuck on the Full HD 1920x1080 resolution.
2) I use an external 4K screen (Samsung The Frame 43") which is able to display a 100Hz refresh rate. When I use this screen, I can access to the 4k resolution, but with a 30Hz refresh rate... is it caused by the Intel UHD Graphics 620 graphic card limitation?

My screen broke
Well a few weeks ago my screen broke from a medle hook hitting it.Theirs lines on the screen and i don't know what to do.
Also every about 5 minutes my screen goes white then i have to turn it off and back on for it to work.How much is it to fix it ? Or what can I do to fix it?

HP Active Stylus Pen battery life and "Can the stylus take a drop or fall?"
Hi.
I purchased the Active Stylus J4R51AA#ABL that It says to be the official stylus for my Pavilion x360.
I was testing the stylus in a real endurance, drawing and selecting menus and tools with it
to test its responsivity and accuracy.
I saw somewhere on the Net that 2 in 1 Notebooks and tablets are not "THAT" perfect to draw,
but this stylus is between "good" and "pretty good".
But I have to confess: I use a technique discovered by myself to photograph drawings in paper and transfer them
to the Notebook, but some parts were drew with the stylus, and it is very fast to select and use tools,
apply some advanced effects and I use the free software IrfanView.
I used the stylus in sessions of 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and even 9 hours in a day and my drawings may take between 5 days
until one week and a half just to be coloured on IrfanView.
So, the question is: the AAAA size baterry of my stylus has ran out of power?
I left the stylus fall/take a drop a little before it stops working. The fall height was 50cm (I measured it). I was lying on the couch with the Notebook (in stand mode) on my chest and the stylus was in my pocket.
I don't think it hit the writing tip, but instead the opposite edge.
I know these stuffs are fragile, but it seems to be made of aluminium and it's not guaranteed I'll never let it fall in its whole lifetime.
It kept working 1 or 2 days after the accident. Now if I want to scratch something onscreen, I need to hold pressed
the stylus for 5 seconds or more (on IrfanView) and it "may" scratch something with a distance of 1 cm
between the cursor onscreen and the line being drawn. The line stops suddenly after 2 or 5 cm of writing.
I know IrfanView is a buggy software, but I did and coloured several drawings with it, so I'm experienced with him.
My Windows isn't upgrading since last week, but I finished a poster even in this condition.
I'm grateful for any help.

touchscreen display issues
My touchscreen went out I bought a replacement screen but still nothing. Today I notice that the caps lock led is blinking in 3's ( it blinks 3 times like morris code). does anyone know what this means? Please help need to do school work that is due tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

Having trouble updating graphics driver
Dear All:
I have had a serious issue with sleep/hibernate mode. Once the computer goes into sleep/hibernate mode, the computer (or monitor) will not turn back on. The fan and motherboard are on (I hear it whizzing) and I see all the LEDs indicating that its on, but the screen is still back. This forces me to do a hard reset (physically pushing the power button and restarting the computer). I have done some research (such as reading into this and this) and tried to install the latest INTEL driver for the display adapter. When I attempt to install straight from INTEL, they give me this message: "Error: Computer Manufacturer Graphics Card Detected" and more information goes on to say "Your computer manufacturer customizes drivers that run Intel® components on your machine."
If this is true, where can I find the most updated driver from HP? They must have something that solves this issue. I can't believe HP would let an issue like this get out of hand. At the moment, the display adapter on device manager reads "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family" and it is Driver Version: 9.18.10.3107" with a driver date of 4/11/2013. When I click "Update Driver" it does a search online and says that the latest driver is installed.
Please let me know how I may go about solving this issue.

Yellow tint or hue on display,not it dark room, but in light, yes.
Hi, so my screen on this new laptop has a yellow tinge to it..compared to others that's more white or blue whit. It' isn't noticiable in a dark room, but in daylight, it is.
ive installed the latest driver, tried changing the RGB and the Night Light option isnt on (it changes it red not yellow like I've read on here..)
Also, it's the laptop. I've returned one already and it has the same issue...although this one seems to be better with the things I've tried.
Also, I went on HP Support, they changed the bios, too.
