My notebook does not have a single DisplayPort, however it does have a thunderbolt 3 port.
Thunderbolt 3 should be able to support DispalyPort 1.2, however when connecting my monitor it does not throughput any signal at all.
I tried updating the Thunderbolt firmware, and all other drivers are up-to-date, but nothing worked so far...
Any suggestions?

I've had this laptop for almost 5 months now, i've only been using it for school which is also the reason that I really need to have this functioning again.
I already searched a bit through the forums to see whether someone had an answer. I've already done the hardware test by pressing escape on bootup and selecting the keyboard test (I had to hookup another keyboard for this as my laptop keyboard wouldn't register the escape button). After trying the keyboard test 2 times it said my keyboard didn't work afterwards I tried to do it with an external usb keyboard which registered immediately.
I didn't install anything between the time that I last shutdown the laptop (when it was still working) and when I booted up the laptop once again an hour later (when it stopped working).
Is there anything else I can do at this point or do I need to contact customer support next monday?
I just bought a new envy 13 laptop (not even a week ago). The screen was fine before (AFAIK), but after recent BIOS and drive update I notice that my screen looks more yellowish. I tried to connect it to a second monitor and the color looks fine.
Is this a because of recent update or my LED is defective? What should I do to fix this?

i have a Problem with my HP Pavilion 17-f242ng (WIndows 8.1) and the swichtable Graphics. In games my Notebook doesnt use the R7 M260 graphic card but the integrated HD 8610 G. That leads to a pretty bad performance.
I already did the follow things:
-Updated Bios
-I had the latest ADM Driver, then used Display Driver Uninstaller and installed the latest drivers from HP
-Maximum Performance (Laptop and CCC)
-my notebook is connected to the power adapter
I would like to get some help with troubleshooting.

As noted in previous posts by other users, my facial recognition is not working when logging in, I downloaded the new camera software and it says no camera found, this was working fine, now it doesn't work at all. Please help

I am really struggling to get any kind of pressure sensitivity with the active pen provided out of the box by HP on applications like Zbrush or Krita. So far the only program in which it has worked well is Skechable from Windows store app. In this the brush stroke can be controlled by the pressure. For Zbrush all my strokes are of the same intensity no matter what the pressure I am applying on the pen. Do I have to perform any additional set ups? Is this is pen issue which can be resolved by using Wacom Bamboo or a Surface Pen? Or is this due to some configurations?

My laptop (envy 17 notebook with windows 10 OS) has recently taken to falling asleep after some inactivity and then not "waking up" anymore. If I set it to sleep (by chsing at option in the menu), it wakes up just fine, but if there is some inactivity for a while the screen goes blue (showing the time bottom left and the on/off function bottom right) and doesn't respond to anything anymore (not keyboard not mouse). It doesn't give me a password box either. The only thing I can do is chose "shut down" or "restart" in the on/off menu bottom right.
I've tried updating the "Intell HD Graphics". That does not seem to have solved the problem completely unfortunately. Anybody any ideas? Is this a virus of sorts?
I can't find the right driver for my laptop.
I've tried AMD software, but it detects my hardware as AMD Radeon R7 340.
I've also tried the sotware that HP website gives, but it doesn't work.
My OS is Windows 10 version 1709 (fall creators update) Home Single Language.

I recently purchased this laptop and I'm trying to use the active stylus 776486-001 with it. However it doesn't seem to be responding. We've tried restarting different batteries and even using a seperate stylus but the screen is non responsive? Is this model not compatible? If not I need to return this to HP because this will not do.
Can someone point me at a model that would be compatible if this is not?
My laptop has become useable in the past few days. I have no idea what as triggered this. I haven't been on any risky sites, no crazy downloads, and I haven't removed anything. I've had this problem before where games would'nt play and I kept getting "blah blah has been block from acessing grahpics hardware" but that was solved by updating my drivers (for some reason they refuse to update automatically). Now it's come back with a few.... A LOT other problems. The random checkerbaord patter still pops up when typing next, the screen still tears (Imagine tossing a thin layer of black ink on your screen). The screen freezes up randomly. And when I start up the game I get this random message about my fan not working properly. I cant get a good imagine from it with my phone. Everything is up to date. And whenever I try to upload a picture on here my laptop erases my typing so please reply wtih an email adrress. sorry for typos it gets worse the more I type
Hi I have the HP Tilt Pen and and the new spectre x360 that supports tilt, I'm having problems with the tilt functionality. It will connect to bluetooth but when I use tilt, the pen it registers 90 degrees in the wrong direction or when pen is upright in the z axis, it will "shade." An example would be if I pull the pen in the x axis it will shade like in it should in the y axis. I will attach a picture that will hopefully explain it better. I have done every thing I could think of, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, updated drivers, calibrate and reset calibrations,rotating the pen different ways but nothing with great affect . The only noticeable change was when I increase power from savings to max and played with the bluetooth, it was better but by no means adequate. Any ideas? Thanks for the help
The HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15m-bp1xx I've had for two weeks. All applicable driver and OS updates have been done, per Support Assistant.
Everything seemed to be working fine, Today however, for the first time I connected a Vizio 50" 1080p flatpanel using a known good High Speed HDMI cable, and I cannot get any video signal to the screen. It doesn't matter if I try to duplicate, extend, or use "only display 2" mode, the TV continues to show "No Signal". I've tried everthing seemingly available in the "Display" settings to get this to work, to no avail.
1.) The TV is absolutely set to the correct input (two separate HDMI inputs were tested to make sure the one I first tried wasn't itself bad).
2.) The audio setting actually shows the Vizio as a selectable audio destination. So, the laptop "recognizes" the Vizio via the HDMI connection. But, when I switch from the Realtek Speaker/Headphone audio selection, to the listed Vizio device, the audio I'm listening to simply goes silent. Adjusting the Vizio destination volume slider to 100 does nothing.
This really seems like a driver issue, however I've re-installed the "latest" display driver twice, to no avail.
Basically stated, the laptop "knows" an HDMI flatpanel TV has been connected, but it isn't sending audio or video to it.

Just purchased the following 2 in 1 laptop.

It has UHD display (3160 x 2140) but I'm unsure of the pen support. It is described as Pen and Touch support with 10 touch points. The HP chart does not clearly specify my model number shown above. I believe it can use an Hp (active?? ) stylus but not the a smart type that is pressure sensitive. I want to be able to use the laptop with an art program like Rebelle II that is designed to use pressure sensitive stylus pens. In order to do that, if this computer won't support it, I'll need to return it and find one that will. Only specific answers will help, so a link to that HP chart or general answers will not. HP Probook (3 years old) is having video display issues on startup. The system is booting correctly, but the video display stays a dark grey.
I can sometimes get the display to work by starting up with only the battery (no power cable), or with the battery removed and the power cable plugged in. Often I have to wait hours to get the video to work. The last time an auto update loaded, and the system went into an auto-restart, it took over 90 minutes to come up with a combination of startup steps to get the video to work.
Is it possible that the lithium battery is staring to fail, and this is causing the problem? Or is the video display card just going bad? I am not sure how to proceed, other than buying a new laptop. Any suggestions?

Trying to add two external screens and extend for Surround PhysX setup in the Nvidia controle panel. (Three screens linked as one)
External screens have 60 hz update and the internal HP Laptop screen only offer 75 and 40 hz.
Meaning that the laptop screen is not shown/selctable when trying to set up the 3 screen surround in the Nvidia client.
I have already tested to create a custom display on the lapstop screen setting 60hz. Still not selactable. The two external screens black out if ty to custom set them to 75 hz. Nor can I set them to 40hz.
I have also tried turning the g-sync off. Still no change...
Windows 10 64 bit, GTX 1070 and all drivers up to date.

Whenever I close my screen and then come back to it later the screen is a hazy white mess, sort of like when a television station goes off air (if anyone remembers that). It will revert back to normal once I reboot. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? Thanks!!
