Hi, I've got Notebook HP Pavilion 15-n234sl and this is my issue.
What's inside my pc:
Windows 8.1
RAM 8GB
Intel® HD Graphics 4400
NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M (2GB)
What happened:
While watching a video on the official vevo app (downloaded from the store), if the pointer is anywhere except in the top corners or showing the sidebar, the screen goes black. Even the pointer disappears. This happens also during the intro video of the game Project Spark (official xbox app downloaded from the store). I also have problems with Steam's "Big Picture", the screen blinks like it tries to stay on but something disturbes it trying to make it black.
What I did:
I went to Intel® HD Graphics 4400 properties, and looked for the official link to update driver. On Intel website I found out that I'm running version 10.18.10.3325 while the newest is 15.33.22.64.3621 (10.18.10.3621).
I downloaded it and tried to install it. Then it said that the driver is not validated for the pc I'm using and that I should request the correct one from the pc manifacturer.
What I did next:
I obvoiusly looked for my pc on HP website from my pc properties and tried the "automatic update" to find automatically the correct drivers for my pc.
The application finds out my model but then the "analyze product" button doesn't work. I just press it and nothing happens.
So I tried to pick up the drivers from the "driver" section of my model's page but I can't seem to find the right one :smileysad:
I'm quite sure that the problem is that I miss the last update, but I can't get out of it :(
If anyone here was able to help me I would be very grateful!
P.S. If anyone asked, I also tried the "update drivers" from Windows device management and it says that the driver's updated while it still shows the non-updated version.
