Hi! (1) I have been using HP Pavilion dv6 for four years - it works fine. (2) I used it along with acer Monitor in Multi-display mode – set with f4 or other Video settings. (3) RS232 cable is used to connect HP computer with the Monitor. (4) It worked fine for many days and I was able to use the Computer in BOTH 'Computer Only' mode and /or in 'Extend' mode, using f4 or any other suitable settings.... [PROBLEM] ->> NOW COMPUTER DISPLAY WORKS 'ONLY' WITH MONITOR CABLE CONNECTED TO THE MONITOR (THE MONITOR MIGHT BE ON/OFF - BUT THE CABLE 'HAS' TO BE THERE TO CONNECT THE TWO!). IF THE MONITOR CABLE IS REMOVED, THEN COMPUTER DISPLAY GOES 'BLACK'!! ... INTERESTINGLY, MY FRIENDS ON 'TEAMWORK' ARE ABLE TO SEE MY LOCAL COMPUTER DISPLAY. I AM UNABLE TO TAKE THE LAPTOP AWAY FROM THE MONITOR!
