Having problems with HP Elitebook 8570w video display, with NVIDIA Quadro 1000m video card.
4 or 5 days ago the monitor was going black for half a second, then coming back to normal brightness.
I called HP Warranty, and they had me upgrade a driver for the Nvidia video card.
Now, the video dims but not black, and then comes up really bright then goes back to normal. It just repeats this over and over. Then after having the computer on for and hour, is stops for the most part. Or, is just fluctuates a few degrees of darkness, then gets bright again.
The computer has had the motherboard replaced once, 3 keyboards replaced, & 2 touchpad/surounds replaced.
Is this normal for workstation type laptops? This one never even gets hot, ever. So I don't think it is a heat related problem.
This laptop is great when it is working properly, but it seems to have in inordinate amount of hardware problems.
