Hello,
Hope someone will be able to help me.
I recently performed a clean install of Windows 7 (64 bit) on the above notebook. Everything has been working fine since, except for the webcam, which did not reinstall automatically during setup.
I have therefore manually downloaded the necessary drivers and although the CyberLink YouCam software has installed successfully, when I open it to run the cam a warning message appears:
'No webcam detected. Try plugging a webcam into your computer now. If you are using an integrated camera, make sure that it is turned on.'
Obviously this is an integrated camera; however, there seems to be absolutely no facility for manually turning it on and off (prior to the clean OS install it used to do so automatically when the software was opened).
It is also not showing in Device Manager.
Anyone got any idea what to do next?
Please note, I do not want to use any sort of HP backup/recovery software - my clean install was an attempt to get rid of all the HP bloat/crapware so it would somewhat defeat the original purpose.
Cheers,
Gillian
