Hi, a while back my laptop started to show the 4 blinks on the caps button. I reinstalled Windows thinking this may fix it. However the blinking has stopped and it is booting fine, it is now much slower than it used to be, and whenever I press ESC in BIOS to try to access startup options it starts to blink again. I cannot use my HDMI port which I presume is something to do with this problem and also my sleep button is always greyed out in the shutdown menu. All in all, apparently my display controller isn't functioning properly, however I can use the laptop, it is slow which is a pain as I do a lot of music recording and gaming. Any suggestions..? It's a HP Pavillion dv3 4050ea running Windows 7 Home Premium.
