I have a DV6 HP laptop, with an AMD Phenom II P960 quad-core processor (1.80 GHz), and a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 internal graphics card. The tv is a 26'' LG HD tv.
I have tried simply changing display settings through the Fn+screen button, but it still shows 'No Display'.
I have updated the graphics card countless times, and reset it to factory settings, still 'No Display'.
I have reinstalled the whole windows system, and graphics driver, but still 'No Display'.
Before all this I also just tried simply doing a system restore, but this still didn't work.
I have tried the same cable on the same tv with a different laptop, and it works perfectly straight away.
I have tried this laptop, on a different cable, on a different tv, and still 'No Signal'.
However there has been one time, where the laptop did a 'memory dump' (blue screen), and it showed on the LG tv, but in a red colour. Other than that, it refuses to work.
It has always worked before, but suddenly its just stopped working.
It also works on the VGA cable, and in general when the HDMI is plugged in, it acknowledges it completely. Its just not showing on the tv.
If anyone knows of a solution can you please comment, as I would really like to know what the problem is so I can hopefully resolve it.
