OK there are many discussions about outdated hp drivers for intel HD4000 video . And i want to clear this a little bit.
I got my HP Pavilion g6-2382sa Notebook PC in early 2013. And was surprised as HP didnt update video drivers at all while intel did this 3 or 4 times. HP is saying their drivers are configured to get the best perfomance and stability with the system but its a lie. So i have uninstalled preinstalled HP configured stock drivers and installed drivers from Intel download centre for my Intel i5 3th generation cpu with Intel HD 4000 video chip. So i got much better video perfomance while watching video or gaming. Around a good month ago we got windows update to win 8.1 . After a good week i got info about new HP configured drivers for win 8.1 so i downloaded and installed them and you know what??????? My PC perfomance -video perfomance went down again playing Defiance game. So i got rid of HP drivers again and installed the most new Intel drivers and im happy again to have my PC working with a best perfomance. So I recomend to get rid of HP video drivers and to instal GPU manufacturers drivers for the best video perfomance. How to do it??????? Its very easy!!!!!!!!
go to drive c:
delete intel , amd, or nvidia drivers software folder.
go to device manage and uninstall video drivers dont forget to tick delete software box
swich of internet conection
reboot pc
window will install basic video drivers
swich on internet connection go to manufacturers web site get their drivers for your device and install them
reboot pc
enjoy
