No touch on HP Pavilion 23 after Windows 10 ver 1607 (USB\VID_0408&PID_3026 driver issue)
The touch and handwriting recognition on my All-In-One TouchSmart suddenly failed to work correctly after the Window 10 Anniversary Update. After searching online for a solution I gave up for a while.... until recently I came across this posting on Spiceworks:
Based on the discussion it seems like this problem is with the change in behaviour of touch events and ultimately solved with a driver update. Unfortunately it seems like HP has not posted it online on their regular support site yet. I tried to open a ticket and was denied.... 
Although this thread started on the HP EliteDisplay S230tm product, it appears my problem is on the HP Pavilion 23 TouchSmart is likely very similar. Other online users that have touchscreens that use the Quanta Computer® Optical Touch USB controller (USB\VID_0408&PID_3001, USB\VID_0408&PID_3026, USB\VID_0408&PID_3027, etc...) are also experiencing the same kind of issue and I think they might benefit from trying the fix for the S230tm.
If you have the drivers that HP provided to you (HP EliteDisplay S230tm) please posted it for us who can't get it.
If you are HP support.... please investigate and qualify the fix to put online on the support website so that we can resolve this problem. Based on discussion on Spiceworks, there is a:

Choppy Video Playback- Video Stuttering and Jittering Problem
There's a serious issue with my laptop which I have been trying to solve from last 6 months! Despite of the decent specs, local video playback suffers stuttering in every media player, for ref. I have tried Windows Media Player, VLC, MP4-HC, Films&TV, KMPlayer.I have read hundreds of threads and discussions, I have set Windows power option in PERFORMANCE mode, Intel HD Graphics in PERFORMANCE mode, tried almost 10 different Intel HD Graphics Drivers, have tried every possible way out but it’s all in vain. My laptop is facing this right from the day I purchased it, now it’s going to be a year trying to resolve this issue. I even installed KLIte Codec Pack but could not help myself. Explaining how the video stutters, it stops momentarily for 0.5-1 sec along with the audio at random places and sometimes white boxes too in a normal 720p or 1080p video. This happens for 5-10 times in a normal 5 Min video which believe me, is very annoying. (I normally use .mp4 format vids). Mine research in all these days lead me to terms like 'motion judder' (My display has only 2 freq. settings 40hz/60hz. Another possible reason maybe that my INTEL 5500 graphics card supports only up to DirectX 11.1, but runtime version is 12, coz I have a 5th gen processor. My friends' laptops have a 6th gen processor and so, they don't have this issue. But I can't be too sure as they have 720p display compared to my 1080p display which can be a cause too. I need urgent aid regarding this issue, I don't even know whether I should contact MICROSOFT, or INTEL or HP! I am taking simultaneous helps now though. Laptop Specs- COREi5 5200u , 4GB Ram, NVIDIA 940m 2GB, 1Tb 5400RPM HDD, WIN 10 x64@, 1080p,60hz. Please see to the issue asap and oblige me. And Believe me, simple remedies aren’t going to work, I have tried each one of them.
I have previously used Intel Corei3 and Pentium Duo systems with 2GB rams and no dedicated GPUs, still they played FHD vids flawlessly. This issue is surely not due to incapable hardware.
I tried SiSandra Software Lite Benchmarking tool which clearly stated that INTEL 5500 Graphics Driver was performing poorly in VIDEO TRANSCODING tests in my laptop as compared to its ratings.Rated frequency is 1600Mhz while it is reaching max upto 900Mhz in TURBO mode.Anyways I am not sure about the cause.
Awaiting some effective answers and suggestions.

Note Book tries to boot and lights come on and Off. Power cycles itself
My notebook power cycles by itself with Battery power. Stabilizes with Power adaptor.. No Video display on notebook or external drive. with power adaptor or Battery.Hard drive replaced still no video display.

Touchpad not working
After I installed my notebook with windows 10 pro anniversary update (32-bit), the touchpad not working.My laptop is hp notebook 11-f006tu. I'm trying to install the synaptic driver and anything else but it still not working.
soo for now, my touchpad totally not working..
in device manager (mice and pointing device).
It just showing HID Compilant mouse. I think there must be smartpad/touch device etc. but i cant find it.

keys wore away on keyboard
Purchased my notebook 2yrs ago keys keep wearing away i am now up to 10 keys not being visable which has resulted in myself not being able to use any longer however i have found alot of other people having this same problem when contacted HP which was a mission in its self they do not want to know or willing to help in anyway cause my warranty was up even after i explained the goods were not fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.

damaged screen
hi i have a damaged laptop and want to know if its worth buying a screen or if the laptop is junk it chargers and it boots up i can see very little i want to connect a vga cable or hdmi lead i tried a vga first to a monitor but got no picture but have been told i need to prss a sequence of keys to get the out put to work is this true and if so whats the sequence please?

Notebook cannot be connected to TV by HDMI cable
Hi, I connected my HP notebook to a sony TV set via an HDMI cable, after selecting
the particular HDMI port of the TV set it showed 'No signal' message . I tested and found that the HDMI cable
works fine with another laptop.
That HDMI port of the TV is also woking quite well with other gadgets.
I request your kind help to resolve the issue.

Displayport or VGA but not both
I was hoping to run two monitors, from the Displayport and VGA ports on the Elitebook G3 that I use. However I find it will do one or other but not both at the same time. Monitor connected by VGA goes blank when Displayport connected, and vice versa. Is there a way to run both (without a dociking station).

VGA Output in Docking Station for EliteBook 8570w has stopped working
The VGA port on my docking station for an EliteBook 8570w has recently stopped working. In the beginning, when the issue began, it wouldn't come on when I powered up the computer, but after a brief time (ranging from 15 minutes to several hours), it would eventually begin to work. Now, it won't come on at all. When it isn't working, the power button on the monitor plugged in to that VGA port will only blink. I have done all of the unplugging/powering off resets to begin the trouble shooting process but that has no effect. Display settings indicates that the computer DOES detect the monitor but no image is being displayed.

Screen turns black for a second then turns on multiple times, then desktop icons are all refreshed
When i am using my laptop the screen turns black for a secind or so, then tuns back on, but the webpage or program running loads in a different aspect ratio for a second then loads back to normal. The screen does this two or three times in a row then is fine for a while, but it happens reguarly. When the screen turns back on it also moves all the icons on the desktop to random locations.

HP USB-C Dock Connected Display Goes Black Randomly
I have a new HP Spectre x360 13" touch connected to a HP USB-C Dock. I have two displays attached to the dock, one to the dock's HDMI port and the other to the dock's DisplayPort port. So far the screen connectivity and usage has been great, except the monitor connected to the DisplayPort randomly goes black for a second or two, and then comes back on immediately. There is no use case or set of steps I have been able to discern to replicate it; it happens quite randomly.
All drivers and firmware are up-to-date, installed through the device manager. I did not have this problem with a previous machine connected to the monitors, screen on the HDMI connection never goes out, and the screen on the laptop itself doesn't have this issue.

Jerky Two-finger Scrolling with X360 15 Trackpad
I have a two month old x360 15 whose trackpad, two finger scrolling of the screen is uneven and often is not propotional to the movement of my fingers and sometimes just stops. I have a two year old x360 13 whose two-finger scrolling is silky smooth. It seems worse when using Microsoft Edge. IE and chrome are much better but noticable. I also see it on other programs. I have deleted and reinstalled the trackpad driver downloading the one from HP. I'm so satisfied with my old computer that it is just agravating to use the new one. Love it otherwise.

Can't install HP driver for HP product BDRW UJ272
My hp BDRW UJ272 (play and write both Blu-Ray and DVD) won't play discs in both VLC player and CyberLInk Media Suite, I get an error message. Windows Media Player says the disc is empty. Does Movies & TV play discs? Message says my driver is out of date. Getting driver update sp72330 from hp. Install failed, said to get drive from manufacture. But HP is the manufacture of PC and the UJ272 Blue-Ray drive. Media files play ok on VLC player CyberLink and Windows Media Player.
Any help to build confidence in doing something myself, like uninstall then install a new driver?

Internal screen doesn't work, but HDMI is great
The internal LCD screen is totally black, but the HDMI output is perfect, even with a new LCD screen.

I've pleased to have bought my 1st HP laptop but it is has developed a major fault.
My laptop screen has developed a bleeding backlight toward the bottom left. This fault is highly dissappointing an as I am within my warrantee i would like to request a method of having it sent in for repair.
