Not sure if 32 bit or 64 bit (Windows 10) ... my laptop worked fine friday. I didn't use it over the weekend for once. Went to turn it on and only the power button and led light light up. No fan, no screen. I attempted to use an HDMI to connect to a monitor that didn't work. I pulled out battery, disconnected the power cord and held the power button for 30 seconds. It makes a small click when the lights power up (power and LED) but that's it. Purchased April 16th 2017. HELP! I need items I have saved on that computers documents! and... I hate that it stopped in only 1 year.

Screen Burn HP Envy 15t
I have had a custom HP Envy 15t since December 2016. The machine has been problem free and works well. I use the laptop about 8-10h daily, on average, and have recently noticed yellow screen burn along the edges of the display. Is this a common problem, and is there a way to prevent or replace damage? I am afraid the answer will be to "send in the computer" which is not a possibility given that it is a necessary work item.

Just replaced screen now boots up but screen is dark can hold light up and see log on screen.
I have a HP laptop that my son mashed screen on About 8 months ago. So I decided to try to fix it so I purchased new screen and installed it. Screen would not light up but had issues with cable connection so I replaced the LCD cable and now screen will light up for a couple sec and go dark. It does not do this everytime but will boot up and I can see my login screen holding a flashlight up to screen. Not finding much troubleshooting info on g7 can't locate inverter not sure it has one. 
Also I forgot my master logon password so how do I reset it?
I am just learning to work on this so please help me out!!

Brand new E240 Display not communicating with Surface Pro 3 dock station

I have purchased a Brand new HP E240 Display Monitor but I cant seem to get it to work with my Surface Pro 3 docking station so that I can run two displays.

Comming up with DDC/CI Communication error. Yet its all plug in and powered up??? I'm using the HDMI cabliing supplied

HP Envy-15.6 Slim Topload
Upon going to close my laptop, I heard a popping sound. It looks like a crack went through my screen, just like the other complaints. I did not drop my laptop or use any type of force. There is definitely a manufacture's default in this product. I called HP and they stated I needed to pay $500 to replace the screen. This is ridiculous because I paid alot of money for this laptop and didn't do a thing to warrant this. I'm thinking of possibly starting a class action suit, because this product is inferior and I don't have money just to waste away.

HP envy m6 screen not lighting up

HP Envy won't start
Hi,
I recently went to turn on my laptop and noticed that someone had spilt something over my bedside table.
Whatever was spilt wasn't spilt directly onto the laptop, but has gone underneith and made it sticky underneith.
I tried to turn it on, which it does for about 10 seconds (screen doesn't turn on) and then automatically turns off.
Before this, it was working as good as it was when I purchased it 3 years ago.
When I plug the charger in, the LED light flashes rather than stays on, and there is also a red LED light near it (which I have never noticed before?)
I have taken out the battery, as well as taking off the case to see if it was sticky inside but it wasn't.
Just wondering if there might be someone knowlagable enough as to what might have happened/can it be fixed?

Synaptics control panel app missing
What the title says.
The touch pad mostly works but without the app, the scroll and other fuctions are missing, like pinch zoom, etc.
The Windows 7 driver list does not contain the app. The one on the Win 8.1 section stops responding on start-up.

Ghost/Phantom/Unsolicited clicks in Top Left Corner -
I'm getting random right clicks in the top left corner of my screen - these occur frequently enough to be annoying, but not so frequently as to make the laptop/tablet unusable
At first I assumed the touchpad was at fault and various fixes and scans, reinstalling drivers etc. None of this worked.
I don't usually use in tablet mode, but the clicks continue to happen when the keyboard is dettached, meaning the touchscreen is probably at fault.
I've attempted to recalibrate the screen, but still get the problem.
Is there any fix available for this, or will I need repair service?

Connection from USB -C to external monitor
I cannot connect from the USB3.1 C port on my HP ENVY Notebook 15-as 101ni to an external monitor. Using the same adapter it works from a Dell notebook but not from another HP notebook I tried.

Black screen when turned on
I turned on my laptop, and the screen stayed black. The lightup keyboard works, but the Caps light won't turn on, and neither will the num lock. I've tried resetting it a number of way, i currently have the battery out, ac adapter in and nothing has worked. I've tried connecting it to my tv, and it doesn't even connect, even when I push the screen select button (sorry I don't know the name of it).
It did start to overheat last night and turned itself off. I thought it had died so I check the adapter and turned it on, and it told me it was overheating so I immediately turned it off and placed it on a table.

AMD Driver conflict causing black screen pause for 1 min on boot-up
My system goes into a one minute pause with a black screen on boot-up. I am running with windows 10 on an intel i7 core 2 duo HP Laptop DV& 6163cl. The problem goes away when i disable the AMD Radeon HD 600M display driver from device manager, but i also lose dual screen functionality and correct resolution on the monitor. I also noticed upon reboot that my intel graphics 3000 has an exclamation mark on it.
I have an intel based processor and I'm not sure if i need the amd dirver and catalyst software. Can someone please advise how i can resolve this issue and which drivers i should have?

Problem with correct display in Windows 10

I have problem with my laptop display. It is a "software" problem, not a "hardware". English is not my first language and it is hard for me to explain but I will try.
All the notification areas that appear in Windows get black, I think it can be drivers problem. I attached some pictures so you can get better idea.
I have Windows 10 64b, HP ENVY Notebook P4B20AV.
I have already tried to reinstall Windows and it is working fine for some hours and than again... when I am trying to udate drivers of graphic card than I am getting "black screen" in place of login screen and only mouse coursor is moving.
Let me know if you can help me.

Wrong resolution on HP EliteBook 8470p
Hello all,
Just this weekend, I bought an HP EliteBook 8470p. My question is regarding the resolution; it was described as having a 1600x900 resolution, but I can't get it past 1366x768. Is there anything I can do about this? Are there any drivers or updates that I have to install so that I can get the full HD+ resolution? I hope I wasn't scammed, and I don't want to return this computer right after I got it.
(My processor is an Intel Core i5-3320m and it has Intel HD 4000 graphics.)
So, again, is there anything at all I can do about this?

White Screen - Envy 15t Touch Screen
Hello:
My screen on an Envy 15t has gone all white. (sometimes it is black or red) When I hook it up to an external monitor via an HDMI wire the display is fine. Does the screen need to be replaced or could it be the display cable? A loose connection? Is there any way to tell? It was not dropped or banged in any way - from what I know...

Laptop display issues. Pink/Green lines and Ghosting

So my girlfriends laptop has been acting awefully fuzzy as of late.
So after not having internet for a while, she's been watching shows on her computer for long periods of time. She accidently fell asleep once and once she woke up, her screen was bright purple. The screen was blackened during the time she slept according to her but once she woke up and touched the touch pad, she was greeted with this issue.
Once while we were talking one day, her laptop fixed itself for a single day. At the end of that day, the problem returned and the screen got bright purple with green lights again. We scratched out heads in confusion.
Now the question here, is it the display or video drivers?
We've tried to take a picture from it by the monitor (snipping) but the problem was not visible there. We have no external monitor so we can't check that.

Here we can see the display screening some kind of ghost image over her view. This is what you call a screen burn-in right?
UPDATE: Right now she's been seeing "What she's been seeing" on her screen right now. Basically, the screen has copied the details from her screen and now it's shadowing the desktop. Could this mean it's not a burn-in? Since now it's copied whatever she's seen recently and now it's ghosting her desktop.
This problem has been since sunday last week.
Any way to fix this somehow? Or is it game over for the laptop?
There seem to be Screen burn-in fixes on youtube etc but does those work on laptops with this type of screen?
Please help us! She needs this laptop for the university!

HP Active Pen Works Sporadically -- Seems to Be Quickly Running Through AAAA Batteries
I purchased my HP Spectre x360 NIB in Canada in April 2017. It's the silver 1080p Kaby Lake i5, 8GB RAM model with included pen. The pen worked well with the included Energizer AAAA battery, but after a week or two, while using OneNote, the pen began to drop penstrokes. In other words, the laptop would fail to detect pen proximity without a noticeable delay.
Replacing the AAAA battery with a brand new Energizer AAAA fixed this behavior immediately, but a week or two later, it's begun to drop penstrokes again.
My hunch is that either the pen is breaking, or it's running through batteries much, much quicker than it should.
What should I do?
