i send my daughter laptop for repair. fed ex came picked it up delivered over night , bought pc august last year . hard drive faliure , that after run diagnostic, pc was purchase from best buy.
i called up the diagnostic screen said hard disk error. they sent me a box and instruction how to pack it, i did all that in box inside air puble bag, , i receive more than three calls i was busy to get back later to them saying laptop arrive with physical damage , i called back they saying because i did not respond on time the pc is coming back to me UN repaired because physical damage void warranty.
i ask what is nature of physical damage , that person look it up saying its screen , there is nothing they could do because case is closed and pc coming back to me, i said what made you assume that the damage was done by me not transit , said he the box was not dent or tampered. i you don't need to rip box to cause damage any person could cause damage to pc just by hitting it or miss handling.
there nothing i can do . said to him i need to talk to super visor , he said he wont be able to help you based on what writing in pc case number, i spoke to super. i told him this is not fair that Hp assume i broke screen without any legitimate reason to prove that , cause i send this pc without broken screen, hp should make fed ex or any other carrier to examine the item before insert it in box for customer right and protection. and then again inspected on arrival to repair dept to see if any physical damage to be paid by carrier or Hp agin for customers protection and rights to keep them happy and coming back to Hp with confidence that they will be taken care of.
Hp don't do business right way at least in my case.
i said also we should take a picture of the item to prove the conditions of the item and submitted to an email after requsting return for repair,
he said we do have this curtsy but not for all products, go figure another down fall with peak of technology ERA , still behind,
so i waited for pc to arrive to see the physical damage,
this physical damage was done by a repair person who don't follow 101 repair.
hinges on right side was shifted with an object an it has a dent on it like screw driver tip inside to out side position
and crack in screen in this area. forget about carrier could done this damage its done by repair dept delebret to have me pay for repair , accusing me doing damage shame shame shame , is this how they do business to generate money for dept to keep their jobs.
they broke my laptop and don`t want to fix it that is very bad bad bad.
after more than 18 years 7 pc and 4 printer , im not going back to hp if they wont fix it
i did not cause all this trouble they did broke the pc and have the guts to say i did it.

i should took pc to best buy to fix it that where i bought it. then Hp will not cause this damage because BB examined it and its free from damage. they would not dare to do that to BB other wise they will lose the as retailer , but blame on customer its OK by HP,
i`m very angry now no one has return my calls after receive pc nor email with attached picture ,
