Have used an external monitor for over 2 years with no problem.  Suddenly, my external monitor is no longer detected.  It works on other computer.  Tried switching from HDMI to VGA-no help.  Tried different HDMI cable-no help.

 

Sometimes if I disable and enable the Intel HD graphics card it will come back but not every time.  Updated video drivers.  I saw another older post but the supposed fix link does not work anymore.

 

The external monitor is simply not detected even though the laptop "beeps" when I plug in the HDMI cable so it recognizes that being plugged in.  Monitor stays dark.

 

Any idea?

Hi I have a notebook G2 and when I turn it on it appears only a white screen, I insert an external LCD monitor (via VGA port) and still nothing and something very stratnge every time I hit any key from keyboard HDD led blinks (only when I hit any key), I also test it with different RAM (from another Hp laptop which I have) and still nothing please kindly take a look to my upload photos (they show the white screen that I see in my laptop)

II have an HP Pavillion laptop. It has been working absolutely fine for more than a year but all of a sudden the LCD display will be  stopped working when  i am live . I turn on the computer and it powers up normally as if my operating system is loading normally, but nothing appears on my screen. It kinda changes dimness a little as if the backlight turned on, but nothing comes on the screen. I think the hard drive and everything is running fine but the screen isn't turning on or something. Anyone know any fixes? Also, I have a three year warranty on my laptop, if that is relevant.

I have had a priblem with display on my HP Spectre 360 since I bought it.  Newest problem:   I just installed Swannview Plus, which works fine on 3 other HP Laptops running the same app.  The window size is very tiny with everything scrunched together and overlapping within the tiny 3" X 2" window.  Every window presented by Swannview Plus is the same size with text too tiny to read and options so overlapping they can't be selected.  A number of other apps have the same problem.

Hello sir,

Am Catherine from Nigeria. i have issues with my webcam.

i am using an hp probook 6550b, win. 8.1 pro. 64 bits.

 

Initially, the webcam was working on windows 7. But after upgrading to windows 8.1pro, it stopped working.

 i tried downloading a camera software, but, when i try to use it, it says, "CONNECT A CAMERA".

i checked the device manager for camera drivers but found none.

i tried downloading drivers here, but, i couldnt find one for my device. HP Probook 6550b 64 bits. windows 8.1pro.

 

i dont know what to do next.

I just got an ak085na with Intel HD Graphics card. I have encountered a couple of graphics issues:

 

1. In Device Manager when I expand one of the categories, the sub-categories dont immediately display and the screen flashes black before coming back with the correct dsplay

2. In Microsoft Edge I sometimes get a black triangle with base at the top left of the screen cutting across the screen, and I have to restart Edge.

 

I have checked the graphics and chipset adaptors in Windows pdate and it says these are up to date.

 

Any thoughts. Not sure if the computer is still junder warranty, so what is best course of action

i need help with my hpnotebook main screen display. i am in microsoft edge display screen. also in hp & microsoft suggestions page. i need help getting to main screen so i can sign in there & get my icons back on main display page. i was  updating & was in settings page & control panel page when i found i could not get to the original screen. all of my game icons are there. as u can see i am not that computer literate. pleaase someone help me as i am desparate to play games. i am visiting my sister & we wanted to play games. thank u all for ur help in this matter. i do appreciate u all!!!!!

my screen on my laptop is broken and we use a HDMI to see the screen. unfortunately my daughter accidental changed the setting to no external display ...how do I get the pc to where I can see the screen again short of replacement as it's not in the budget at this time

Recently my laptop has begun to display this random dark grey/black screen. I will be using my laptop and then if I do not move the mouse or touch a key within a minute, the screen goes dark. I know the computer is still on because when i move the mouse or touch a key, the screen will go back to normal. I've tried messing with the display options and recommended settings, but nothing is working. The problem is just annoying and inconvenient, especially as a student. Please help if you know how to fix this problem! Thanks!

i am using HP g62-b60si , i am Having a serious issue in display drivers , Specs is Intel HD graphics(pentium) , Intel Driver is Working fine but after installing Amd or Ati driver black screen  error occurs cant able to log into windows , so i thought it is a OS problem so i formatted the whole system and reninstall it again the same problem arises.

but  not solved

My son accidentially bumped into my laptop that was on the table and it fell on the floor. When I turned it on all I saw was color damage to the screen. The color damage appears in cracks, but there are no physical cracks on the outside of the screen itself. How much does this cost to fix? How much is the cheapest warranty if that is the best and cheapest way to go?

Viewing video clip on FB, YouTube, etc. the audio plays but the video screen is blank.  This has happened before but eventually started working again without my doing anything but turning off computer for a day or two.  Everything I've found via research says to turn off Adobe Flash hardware accelleration by right click on the video (no such option appears) or do it in browser settings (nothing there either except disable/enable Flash).  Or clear history in Flash control panel advanced settings.  No help either.  Using Windows 10 and Edge.  Not even sure it has to do with Flash since there are other media players.  And once this happens it seems to affect all video clips from all sources until it mysteriously starts working again without my doing anything.

Hello. My function keys used to be great for controlling the volume, muting and unmuting the volume, controling the display brightness etc. Now they don't do that, and it is as if I am always holding down the fn button because when I press them I get some function that I don't want or need. Please help!!

 

I already tried pressing f10 when I start the computer, going into BIOS, and disabling the thing, I think it's called the action button function. I double checked it. It is disabled. But I still have a 'function lock' or whatever you want to call it.

 

I really dont have time to be messing around with this, and I am frutrated and unhappy with this problem.

My display is broken and none of the service centers in UAE have the display for my Hp13C000ne (K6D38EA). I would like to know which display unit I should buy and where can I find it. I will change the display using some video tutorials. Thanks in advance.

I have a brand new Spectre x360 Convertible 15 (just 60 days). It has had issues with the touchpad being unresponsive and occasionally the touch screen not responding simultaneously. I had called HP within the first 30 days to report the issue and twice more without a fix. They had even done a remote repair and it still is not working correctly. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I have bought a laptop HP Elitebook 2740p with Windows 10 Pro 64x but the touchscreen is not working.. I can only use the pen, not my fingers. 

I have tried to install Wacom tablet driver, the last one on the website, but it's not working.
I can't see the HID-Compliant touch screen in Device Manager so I think it's the problem but I can find the good driver for Windows 10 (because I think it's the problem) to see that.

Do you have any suggestion?

Purchased new computer in Mid March.  The computer starts up but the monitor does not power at all.  THe monitor remains black without turning on.  Please advise as to the reason for this or let me know of the HP address to send the laptop back to for repair.  The serial number is (removed content) and the warranty was activated on March 14 2017.  Please advise on the necessary steps to get the problem corrected.
