I have my ProBook 4230s for about 2 years and i havent had many issues, however last night i was using my laptop and i decided to put my brightness to the lowest setting. I woke up this morning to find out my brightness levels wont change when i try to use the keyboard shortcut or when i change the settings in the control panel. My sound keyboard shortcut works but not birightness. Any help would be apprciated

Brightness Controls (F2/F3) stopped working on HP Envy 15 j067cl
Hi,
I am hoping someone can help me because I'm becoming extremely frustrated.
I have a Windows 8.1 64-bit laptop - HP Envy 15 j067cl
I cannot adjust the brightness using the F2/F3 keys. Unfortunately, it is locked on the absolute brightest setting which is way too high. I searched these forums for different fixes but none of them worked.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hp Pavillion g7-1167dx notebook black screen
I have an Hp Pavillion that i purchased 2 years ago and have a black screen issue. I turn on the power and hear the fan and hard drive but my display is black. I have taken the battery out an drained the power and then rplaced it and it worked acouple of times, but now that does not work at all. I will leave it for a week and then try and turn it on and it will work fine for a few days and then go back to having a black screen. I have changed the ram and that didnt solve anything, so i am looking for some advice. can anyone help. its is weird that it works sometimes and then goes out again.

when i reboot the machine after install drivers , it starts freezing and 'driver has stopped responding...' error.
someones says it can be fixed with Raise Minimum Clocks but this is impossible i ve not a settings like Fixed or Dynamic mode in Bios. (f.48 insydeh20 rev3.5) already LOCKED! the bios settings. its understandable!!
if i dont need that settings ,if my bios is already stable for switchable graphs . WHY i cant use the card!?

first uninstalling all old files ,with driver sweeper, and fixing regs with ccleaner.
also UAC is disabled.
i tried all the steps on win7(!),win8.1 , but same i just wanna use the graphic card for my 3d drawings program.i need this.

8.1 Upgrade has left me with a black screen not once but twice.
The first time I upgraded to 8.1 I never had a screen again so since I'm under warranty they "fixed it" service number: BDLW622601
OK I get the laptop back and there was a note to upgrade and give it time to update. WELL IT'S BEEN 2 DAYS NOW and I'm just letting it run and I never get past a black screen. I can't get anything to work. Not only has this cost me a client but I have lost all patience with HP and Microsoft.
I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I have a HP Envy. You know I've always bought HP's but in the future I'll be buying Dells

Hp pavilion g6 1201-tx not booting after installing graphics drivers(AMD Radeon 6470) .
My Hp pavilion g6 1201-tx is not booting and is stuck at the windows logo screen at startup. The problem came into picture after I installed the graphics drivers (AMD Radeon 6470 1 GB graphics card-sp55025.exe). If i try to install the Intel vga graphics hd drivers , i get the message that system doesn't meet the minimum requirements.
I even updated my BIOS drivers but to know avail.
If i uninstall the graphics driver , the system boots normally.
Even I tried to install win 8, after install was complete the system didn't boot.
It is really frustrating. Please give me a solution.

I have purachsed HP Pavilion 15-n039tx Notebook ( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c03964922 ) which has got a 2GB dedicated graphic card (AMD Mobility Radeon HD 8670M). I have downloaded the driver given in your site. While installing it, it gives the following error " Application Install : Install package failure!" I am running Windows 8.1. Have downloaded drivers 3-4times and tried installing but gives the same error. Tried again by re-installing Windows again but same problem. Then i downloaded its driver from AMD's site but again same error was shown. In device manager only Intel 4000 graphic card is shown. PLEASE HELP ME!!

Configuring Multiple External Displays EliteBook 8470P
I have an EliteBook 8470P with the AMD Radeon 7570M display adapter. I am looking to use to external displays as well as the laptop display. Can I use both the VGA and Display port outputs to accomplish this without purchasing a docking station? And are there any settings that I need to change to do this?

Sharing RAM in Probook 4530s
I bought HP ProBook 4530s, which had a shared graphics memory from RAM. After 2.5 years I reinstalled my operating system (Win 7) due to some problems. But after new installation of O/S my ProBook's video performance became very low. I searched for it and realized that I have lost my shared RAM memory.
Now please tell me how do I fix this issue and again share my RAM with graphics card?

Where can I purchase a new screen for a HP 2000-2b44dx
I had purchased this laptop not too long ago and the warranty is still good. The screen cracked and I have been using it by connecting the laptop to a projector(and HD tv screen) but now the computer doesnt seem to even start up. I can see anything when I connect it to a projector anymore. I would like to purchase a new screen to replace this broken one. If anyone can give me some idea of how much it costs and where I can get it, it would be much appreciated.

Hp pavillion brightness problem
My Hp Pavilion g6 Notebook PC (g6-2323dx) does not respond to the f2 key or the f3 key to change the brightness settings. I thought maybe there was something wrong with just the keys so i decided to g into the settings manually and change it that way, that did not work either. it is stuck on 100% brightness. I looked at some forums and i have tried a hard reset but that did not work. system restore did not work either. Could someone please help me?

HP Pavillion DV6 blank screen NO FLASHING CAPS LOCK!
Hi. I have a HP Pavilion Dv6 2114sa. I have come to boot it up, and the screen is blank, the fans come on but there are no flashing lights aside from the volume, wireless & power light. I have tried the 'hard reset' and it's not worked. I have tried opening the laptop at differing angles but that's not worked. Google has plenty of answers for flashing caps lock, but none for this!!

I am unable to use my CyberlinkYouCam. I have an HP Envy dv7-7240us Notebook, Windows 8. I have only been able to use my webcam once successfully. I am trying to film a brief video for work, but I keep getting this message: Warning: No webcam detected. If you are using an integrated camera, make sure that it is turned on. How can I turn it on? I have tried to find information on the site, but I can't.

HP Pavillion dv7-4177NR Freezing issues an display problems
Hello, I have a DV7-4177NR laptop that has several issues I beleive are all being caused by one thing. First the computer screen starting turning black at random times and now usually has a black screen when I start it up. The wireless button has an orange light and the caps lock key is solid. If the screen does come on its usually green and other colors until it hits the password screen then fixes itself. If I can get logged on it usually freezes within 2 minutes. I have not downloaded anything new or installed anything new. Anyone have any ideas in how to fix this? I have checke the ram an its in good, and hard reboots dont work. Hooking up an external monitor does not work as well when the screen is black.

HP g60-121WM Black Screen on start up
I have an old HP G60-121WM laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium. My mother was using it when it froze and she had to power it down using the power button. Ounce off she powered it back on, only to be greeted with a full black screen. I researched common causes and found that it could be a multitude of problems varying from hardware malfunctions due to faulty wiring, improper connections, overheating, bad ram, bad motherboard, bad CPU, bad PSU, bad GPU and or Video Chip to incorrect display settings and no OS. The most common reason being a faulty NVIDIA chip. There is no blinking cursor, no faint display in the background, no error beeps unless I remove the HDD and replace it which I've done and I have also replaced the battery, video cable and inverter. While the laptop was apart I reapplied thermal paste to the CPU using 70% isopropyl alcohol and Arctic Silver 5. I then thoroughly cleaned the fan and reassembled the laptop. I powered it back on and still there was no display. I then tried using my Dell Dimension 2350 desktop monitor through the VGA port. After waiting for the laptop to fully startup (I can hear the windows theme/jingle) I pressed FN (the function key) and F4 to switch the display, I got a full display. My first reaction was to immediately run TITANIUM Internet Security by Trend Micro for Trojans/Malware. There weren't any, although before this I ran another program that was deleted upon installation of TITANIUM that could not get past checking the registry keys? After TITANIUM Internet Security finished checking the entire laptop and nothing was found It prompted me to restart and I did, the screen was still black. I then switched over to the external monitors display and checked the display settings under control panel, nothing there seemed to have much effect nor did the alterations made under the NVIDIA control panel settings. The LCD lights are all working and I can see that the screen has color, though this color is black it's not like when it's powered off. I really need to fix this laptop but idk what else to do other then completely replacing the mother board, I don't want to do that. My mom came to me for help and I need to come through for her, I need to fix this laptop. I even called HP Tech, they said try removing the battery and ac adapter press and hold the power button for 60secs and plugging in only the ac adaptor for power then turning it on, it didn't work nor did tapping any F1-10 on start up not even the ctrl+alt+delete attempt out of desperation. Please Help
