x360 spectre 15-bl012dx windows 10. display flickers when I enable VT in BIOS.

 

1. Turning it off fixes issue (not an option - need VT)
   1. I state this b/c twitter support told me to reset BIOS, which defeats the purpose. 
2. Changing drivers does not fix issue
   1. Tried latest HP drivers
   2. Tried previous HP drivers
   3. Attempted to use Intel drivers
3. Changing resolution does not fix issue
4. Changing refresh rate to 40hz decreases frequency of the issue but it's still there
5. Connecting to external monitor over HDMI and extending display the issue stop
6. Using the Microsoft Default video driver the issue isn't present (but dispaly performance suffers) 

Not sure what next steps here are to resovled.  I have not heard of other users having issues, but I'm not sure how many people may be turning on VT here.

This has been an on going problem for a couple of months now and I've never really found a solution, i've almost searched every post regarding the same issue and i'm still stuck! It's like the HDMI port has completely failed.

 

I've tried uninstalling/installing drivers

hard reset / reinstalled windows

 

Not sure what else I am able to do to get this fixed, I'm eager to get this working again.

The frame on my touchscreen laptop just gave up all of a sudden. It started as a crack on the frame behind the actual screen but as I continued to open and close the laptop it just full on broke. The screen and everything works perfectly it's just the frame behind it and I don't know how to fix this

I would like to upgrade my HP840 G3 from actual HD display (823950-001) to QHD display (823952-001).

How can I buy such QHD display directly from HP?

 

I found the display replacement instruction in the HP Maintenance and Service Guide (c04887250), but no instruction on display cable replacement. Does the display cable support any possible LCD resolution (HD, FDH, QHD) ?

After motherboard was failed then I replacement new motherboard are fine and screen keep black but I can see use flashlight. I was trying HMDI to other montier are good.  I buy new LCD are same problem. How can I fix with that issue. I was figure out for two months. Nothing to resolve from online and everything I trying. Please help me.

My daughters laptop will not start up.  Not sure if it's a screen issue or something else.  When you power it on you can hear it running and the power button lights up but nothing happens.  There is a green light flashing on the caps lock but that is all we get.

I just got a Dell U3415W curve monitor and it's native resolution is is 3440 x 1440 at 60 Hz. My Spectre looks like the highest it goes is 2560 x 1440. Everything on screen is slightly skewed/flattened. Do I have any options to make it render correctly? Thanks in advance!

Bonjour,
J’espère que vous allez bien.
J’ai un soucis avec une réparation et je n’arrive pas a m’en sortir.
Pour vous faire une petit résumé, c’est un portable pratiquement neuf Spectre 13 dont le client a cassé l’écran et par conséquent, j’ai pris contact avec le service Best2serv au 022 567 51 84. Jusqu’ici tout vas bien.
On m’a proposé une réparation forfaitaire a 385.- que nous avons acceptée, payée directement.
Suite a cette demande, j’ai patienter pratiquement 2 semaines sans qu’aucun transporteur ne pointe son nez, aucune étiquette d’envoi rien. J’ai alors repris contact avec eux pour qu’ils m’explique quoi faire et elle m’a alors proposer de refaire la demande.
Après encore 2 ou 3 semaines sans nouvelles, j’ai pris la décision de l’envoyer moi-même en indiquant toutes les informations dans le carton.
Il est parti et est resté 3 semaines chez DPD.
J’ai enfin réussit a le récupérer et j’ai repris contact avec le centre d’appel qui a refait encore une autre réparation.
Toujours aucun transporteur mais cette fois on m’a expliqué qu’il fallait que je depose le colis dans un parcelshop, ce que j’ai fait.
le colis a était acheminé correctement auprès de computacenter qui m’a gentiment fait parvenir devis car ce cas n’était pas couvert pas la garantie alors que cette réparation était payée d’avance par nos soins.
J’ai appelé computa qui s’est excusé et m’a indiqué qu’ils allaient transmettre l’ordinateur au service concerné pour que la réparation se fasse.
Deux jours après je reçoit un colis avec la machine NON REPAREE.
J’ai repris contact… … … renvoyé l’appareil et je l’ai enfin recu en retour avec une étiquette (réparé) sauf qu’il ne s’allume pas, la carte mère a était brûlée, l’écran mal remis, …

Encore désolé mais auriez-vous un contact a me donner ou m’aider ?

I was starting a game on my HP Envy x360 the other day and the screen blacked out. At first I thought it was just the initial loading for the game but after 10 minutes there was still no response. The computer was still running and I finally decided to shut it off and try to restart. The screen did not return with the restart. After fiddling with the projection options, the screen began to show static and then it flickered a few times and came back on. When it came back, it was on a different resolution. I resumed normal use but within five minutes the screen went black again and this time it did not recover. I am very worried because this laptop is just a couple months old and it has had any physical damage or even any heavy use. As far as I know, the drivers are up to date. This machine definitely has some cooling issues as a nature of the design but other than that, there is no damage that I am aware of.

Hi there, I just recently bought my new laptop, which is stated above. I booted up my camera app and my hp camera works fine, but my HP IR Camera isn't working properly? The two infrared lights are lit, but the camera is saturated with poor quality and sometimes purple and green tints appear on my screen.

 

NOTE: When I go to update my IR Camera driver in Device Manager, the camera is no longer available on my computer. I had to roll-back the update so that it is available.

I installed windows 10 pro x64bit and downloaded all the necessary drivers but the I can't access the brightness control or use the brightness I think this need intel hd driver, which I tried to install but after the installation I get a message "error This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software."

As for the wireless button I'm not sure why.

Everytime I connect my pc to my TV via HDMI my pc's screen goes black and my TV says "Not Support". I've had this exact setup for about a year and a half and I've never had this problem with it before.

This is so far everything I've tried:

-cycling through the settings with win+p

-updating my graphic card driver

-tried diffrent cables and diffrent outputs

-searching for a device then plugged in the cable

-restarting everything with the correct settings 

My TV is a DMTECH monitor that I've had for maybe three years, and I've never had a problem with it before.

My 3 year old recently pushed my ultrabook off the coffee table resulting in a broken screen, I have been trying to find a replacement part every where to no avail. Does any one know of someplace that may have them?  It do not have touch screen.

 

Any leads would be very much appreciated.
