For the last several months our desktop monitor has been cutting out, showing black screen and then giving us a message that the display driver failed and was operating on the computer's back-up driver. A few days ago, all we would get on start up was a quick log-in page and then a black screen. W figured it was the video card/driver, so went to Best Buy to buy one. The computer expert ther said that the Nvidia GEForce GT710 would fix the problem we were having. After barely being able to install the new driver (since we were having screen issues) we still have a problem with the screen cutting out. We can get a start up page and log in, but the monitor screen keeps cutting out about every 5 seconds,so it takes a long time to get anything accomplished, since we have to push the on-off button to get the screen to come up again. It's taking forever to type this message. We're starting to think it is a monitor issue and thought about trying to plug in another monitor to see if that was it. We are desperate and don't know what to do. Would appreciate any thoughts on this.

Photoshop Menu Tiny, Both Monitors... Sometimes
Running Photoshop CS5.1. Menu is too small to see. I tried running a fix which sometimes works, sometimes does not. Using my laptop as screen #1 and a Cintiq as screen #2. How can I get this to work 100% of the time on both screens?

4 Displays on zbook 14 G2 with docking station
Does anyone know how to enable 4 displays on a zbook 14 G2 docked on a HP 2013 Ultraslim docking station
I want to enable simultaneously the:
* Integrted lap top sceen (1600x900)
* VGA port display at (1920x1080) connected to dock
* 2 Display port displays at (1920x1200) both connected to the dock
This notbook model has a and AMD FirePro M4159 switchable graphics and the integrated Intell HD5500 GPU's
I am on windows 10.
Thus far I can only 3 out of the 4 simultaneously.
I was thinking that since there are 2 GPUs on the notebook, 4 simultaneously displays should be possible.
I have updated the graphics drivers to the latest ones from the hp website.

Blinking Cursor
Did refresh to Windows 8 and upgrade to Windows 10. After startup symbol (blue circle) continues to blink.
Also, short line in task bar blinks. Any suggestion to eliinate.

There is a white patch on my screen, and there are black spots across the top of my screen.
There has been the white patch on my screen, and I do not know where it came from. There are also black spots with like reddish lines coming down going across the top of the screen. My touchscreen is also not working well.

How to fix my problem?
I turn on my laptop and the screen will not come on. The power and charging light come on. It my screen looks as if I've never even turned on my laptop. I've already tried a hard reset.

Can't install AMD Catalyst Control Center
I have tried several times to install AMD Catalyst Control Center on my HP Probook 4540s. I could not do it.
Installer starts to install the CCC, but it suddenly stops and says the installing has finished successfully. When I check the log file, there is not any warning or error messages in it.
I googled this problem. There are some solutions on this site and others. They say these are useful to solve the problem. But these solutions could not solve my problem.
For example, I uninstalled all graphic drivers and tried to reinstall these in the given order. Again, CCC could not be installed. It seems to be but it did not.
It is getting really annoying, because the games and other programs which use GPU (OpenCL etc.) can not detect AMD video card.
Please help me to solve it, I will be very grateful. Thanks!

The first user, to log in to Windows, cannot recive Skype calls.
I have a bizarre Skype Preview issue. I’ll try to keep this as brief as possible.
The first user, to log in to Windows, cannot receive Skype calls. This can be corrected, by that user logging out and back in. The second user can always receive them. It doesn’t matter if user A or user B logs in first; both suffer the same issue. Both can be corrected, by logging out (of Windows, not Skype) and logging in again. I cannot believe it’s a service, not starting for the first user. If the second user signs in – and skype works fine – the first user still has the issue, if you return to them. It can ONLY be resolved by them signing out and back in.
Further pertinent information: I don’t need to try a call, to know the issue exists for a given user. It is apparent when you go to settings (in Skype), because, for the affected user, the option to test the video camera takes around 30 seconds to initialise. I believe this is at the root of the failure to receive, because it simply takes too long to get the camera up, for the first user. An affected user can make a successful call – time is on the caller’s side – but Skype crashes, after that call; so, there’s still an issue for this first user. Again, this is corrected, after a sign out/sign procedure.
Also, this does not reoccur (once corrected by the sign in/out) when using fast shutdown/ fast-start. I presume there is something retained during that procedure. It only happens on a full restart.
The PC is a brand-new HP Pavilion (i5-7200 processor with 8GB of RAM and Windows 10 Home – Built-in HP Wide Vision HD webcam) and this is all after the initial setup. Skype Preview has been uninstalled/reinstalled for both users. Skype Preview was updated to a new version, today (30-03-17) – but this issue first arose yesterday, on the previous build.
Is this a HP problem, Windows, Skype or machine specific? I doubt it’s the latter, since it works perfectly, after the sign out/in; and there’s not a single error in the Event Viewer. Could it be some HP bloatware, which does something on initial full reboot? I cannot imagine it’s some service that is not starting, either; why would sign out/in help; and why is the first user not fine, once the second user has signed in? As I said, the problem persists for the first user, when you return to them.

Display can't autorotate
I've just bought a Pavillion x36013-u030tu. Unfortunately just after 1 day, the hdd was failed. And with one reason I had the HP service cente replaced my hdd with SSD. But now with my own Windows.
After install all of drivers I downloaded from hp web sites, the only one thing that didn't work was display auto rotate. There's no autorotate menu on Action Center.
Any body can help me to bring back my display autorotaion ?

Pavillion X360 (11-k152sa) Touch screen reversed
hi all,
I've been fixing a laptop touch screen for a customer this past week, and I managed to get the exact same glass replacement which is the official Hewlett - Packard glass for the screen and installed nicely into the casing (bar the minor scuffs around the bezel lip)..
And it works, although the image is the revese or mirror of it when u touch it now, so touch on the left and it does it on the right.
The digitizer is the same! I never replaced or changed the digitizer and i can only put it down to that being faulty or a driver
Ive tried updating drivers which it gives me only the 2006 HID compliant driver which is like 10 years out of date.. This is via the Microsoft Update option. Are there any upto date drivers on this site as im not seeing any??
i mean an 11 year old touch screen driver is a little bit out dated when running a main part of a very expensive laptop, dont you think?!?
I have scoured high and low , asked everyone i know, collegues and friends around the world and even the company that sold me the glass told me to contact HP and they will sort it for me. I'm finding this not to be the case..
Can anyone shed some light on how I can get it to work as my client is getting a little bit upset with the fact i fixed his laptop but now the screen works in reverse. lol, has to be the most bizarre and stupid thing i've come across and ive been a technician for around 10 years..
so please , please, please someone point me in the right direction. I have honestly tried everything the internet has had to offer as a problem solver and as a result, im just risking taking out the screen for the umpteenth time and breaking the £100 piece of glass i bought.

Cracked Screen
My screen is cracked and I need to get it fixed. Can you tell me how much it would cost. It is still under warranty but I think it is not covered. Can you tell me where I can take it or if you can fix it for me? I love my little HP computer, we only own HP computers. My husband and I have always stuck with HP becuase they run so well, and my computer is fast!! I hope to hear from you soon as I want to get my laptop fixed asap. HP 14" Notebook bought 2 weeks ago white screen
I bought this laptop about 2 weeks ago from currys pc world. I was doing some work with it on charge and then I called someone for about 2 hours and then when I came back to it and wiggled the mouse all I saw was a white screen. I then connected it to an external monitor and did a hard reset deleting everything and it carried out and it is still white. I have removed the battery but I don't think it could be LCD issue as I recently purchased it.

notebook touchscreen zoom issues
My young son likes to play games on the touchscreen notebook - each time he double taps it zooms in but then I can't get it to zoom out again and we have to reset the game. Any ideas how I can disable this please? Thanks
