I've just purchased a new Spectre X360 15T. I'm hoping to run two monitors. I'd like to plug one into the HDMI and one into one of the USBC plugs. This will allows me to keep the laptop plugged in while I'm at my desk. I'm hoping to use a USBC to HDMI cable like this one: https://www.amazon.com/CHOETECH-Thunderbolt-Compatible-MacBook-ChromeBook/dp/B01LYS3Q5A/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1489428683&sr=1-3&keywords=usb+C+to+hdmi+cable

 

Is there any reason this shouldn't work? Anybody have any experience on this?

I bought this computer 3 days ago to use with onenote during class and for some reason the handwriting produced on the screen is shaky while I write.

 

If I draw a strtaignt line slowly, the cursor tends to wobble slightly and produce a squggly, jittery line. When I do so quickly, however, the line smoothes out. Often, when I write quickly, the writing comes out jagged and distorted which is frustrating. 

 

I updated all the drivers and tried all the different settings I could find, without success.

 

Also, while in regular pc orientation, the screen lock button is greyed out and I can't change it back from the settings because it is also greyed out there. 

 

any help is appreciated, thank you.

We have about 4,000 G2 laptops that we just purchased and recieved, however about 1/4 of them are having issues with the external screens (one screen of the two) flickering. We build our own images so I decided to check the driver. It was running Version:20.19.15.4457 Rev.A. I checked the patch notes on HP and noticed 4463 fixed some flickering issues so I updated it to the latest version 15.40.4483 Rev.F(1 Nov 2016).

 

However this didn't fix the flickering second screen. Screen was set to refresh at 75 and I dropped it down to 60. Cables don't seem to matter since it can be caused with vga or dvi (over display). The laptops are connected to a DIB HP Ultraslim Dock.

 

This has also happened on our EliteBook 840 G3 models. However they are running the same driver and Dock.

 

So I'm not really sure what else to try. Any suggestions or info would be appreciated.

I am trying to connect my HP 15-ac183nd laptop to the DELL U2413 monitor, with a USB connection from the laptop to the monitor. It does not work. 

I am not an expert and kindly seeking your advise how-to. ?

when playing a video the bottom of the screen eg the video caption or title will constantly flash on and off during playing the video. this happens no matter what kind of video i play on this laptop wether its on facebook, youtube or my own dvds it drives me mad!!! ive tried fiddling with all the settings on my touchpad settings but nothing works

I had problem with battery not charging so I contacted ur suport I was advised I should do system r ecover which I did but it showed me eror so I exist it and continue but screen just went black, so I tried restarting nothing, then doing those steps removing battery holding 60 s nothing, tried also Bios recover holding windows key and B after the beep nothing appeared, I don't understand what happen? And what should I do? I really need my laptop

Without explanation, this new computer is having the screen power off after only 1-3 minutes, even though both power and battery settings are both at nothing less than 15 minutes.  After rebooting the computer, the screen so far has stayed on until the designated time has passed, but after a day or so, it reverts back to powering down as quickly as I step away from the computer.

 

I'd welcome any thoughts regarding what might be happening here and how to address it.

When I first got my laptop, the display dimmed to save power and brightened when the charger was plugged in, as most devices do. However, at some point it started doing the opposite.

 

Anyone know what caused this and/or what to do about it?

I need the Video Display driver for Linux for this model went to HP support page they show Linux but no display or VGA driver for the  HP Neroware m100 Mobile Thin Client m100 ca24  Laptop on there page

 

I looked at every linux they supported on the Drivers page and no VGA Display drivers was listed

Anyone have this driver for the VGA Display for Linux

I have noticed a yellowish area, an indestinct vertical stripe about 3/4" wide. 2/3rds across the screen (from the left) and running from top to bottom. It seems to be getting progressivly more yellow as time goes on. There is no hint of this on my external monitor which is operated side by side.

When I use the 'snipping tool' to capture the screen with a white background, the discoloration is not part of the snipped image - that is it does not show on another monitor and does not move when the image is panned.

I have 1 year left on my warranty.

Does anyone have an idea what stylus pen is working with my Spectre X360? I especially bougth it for its touch capabilities to be able to make notes in OneNote.

From other forum posts I got the idea that that the HP active stylus K873AA would work but it does'nt. 

 

I would like to know if there is an option to make the K873AA work or what stylus will work (for sure!).

 

- My system is fully up to date, Windows 10 drivers and HP drivers

- I can't find a driver for the K873AA stylus because the support page redirects to another page for download, what redirects to the general support page... (http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=7541480&lang=en&cc=be)

- The HP notebook stylus compatibility page does not mention my type of Spectre (none of the support pages do, apparently bought a non-existent model).

I consider myself fairly good with computers (I have a B.S in comp-sci) but I have been having an odd problem lately. I can no longer watch youtube or stream anything (pandora, online videos, etc.) or some sites live on my computer. I'm running windows 7 with 6 gig ram and an Intel i5 2.5GHz. Youtube will load about 5 seconds of video then stop and pandora works on occasion but I usually get the first 30 seconds or so of a song then just choppy skipping after that. I have tried using chrome, firefox, opera and IE and the problem persists across all browsers. I find this particularly odd because I play a few relativity high-end online video games which run perfectly. Also, when I first got this computer about 6 months ago, these things worked fine, this has only been going on about a month. I have run virus scans, spyware scans, and I even restored my computer state back before this issue and I still can not use these things. Is there something I have missed? Anyone know what could possibly cause this annoying problem? Thanks.

Hello, I just bought a spectre x360 13-w000ng. On unboxing it I saw that, when a light is shining on the screen at certain angles, you can see a grid pattern of small dots all over the screen. Could anyone let me know if this is normal?

The buttons on my HP Pavilion 22xi monitor operate, with the following issues:

 

1.  On Source Control:: Clicking on Cancel  just moves the cursor through the selection in repetitive order.

 

2.Save and return  is greyed out and doesn't apply.

 

3.  With 2. not operable, the Source Control, Window  takes up to 40 seconds to close automatically.

 

4.  However, opening the Source Control,  again shows the selected mode stored.

 

5.  The Main  Menu  seems to work OK on the selection and adjustment, but has no means to Reset  or Cancel.

 

6.  However, the Main Menu  then closes and is later found to be reset as in 3.

 

It took a while to  resolve these issues, so I hope this summary may be useful.

I sent my lap top to HP for touch screen repair and now that they returned it there is damanged spots on my screen.  I did not have these before and they are internal.  I am not able to clean them off or have the pixels correct with rebooting my machine.
