does anyone know what to do if my keyboard is not working? i am using touchscreen one now. i had an issue with my screen being turned sideways and got that fixed. could i have locked it somehow? Thank you.

no video external or LCD display
I have a G71-340US laptop and the LCD display cycles between red, blue, green and 4-5 other video patterns, I connect an external monitor and the LCD display goes out but the external monitor never turns on (no signal).
I cannot access the BIOS and have tried the windows key + b and F2 at power on for BIOS restore, I hear an audio beep but still no video
I hear the CPU fan speed vary and the keyboard is functional, there are no audio tones or LEDS flashing or lit other than the num lock and the finger swipe by the mousepad when the laptop is powered on
I swapped the memory and depopulated to 1 (2 Gig module) from 4Gig total, no change
The HDD was replaced with new (no OS installed), do not see the "OS not installed message" as the BIOS does not show.
I am using a VGA cable to an external monitor, if I found a HDMi monitor would that provide a different result
How do I troubleshoot:
I do not believe it it the LCD display as I have no external video
Is it the motherboard
Is it the CPU
Is it the GPU

LCD screen broke, can i replace it with a similar model screen?
Hello everyone,
I recently broke my laptop LCD screen, and when I switch it on some parts of the screen are purple and black. I know that HP has a parts surfer where your can buy replacement parts. I checked and they don't have any screens available (n/a). So i was wonderng if i can purchase a screen that is similar to my hp model that can work for my laptop (non-touchscreen or touchscreen if possible). Hope I can get this solved soon!

All the things I've read so far identify having to press FN + F3/11 with an icon of 3 dots - but my keyboard doesn't have this button on it?

Display/screen issue
Hi,
I've got a new HP Stream 11 - I bought it on February 18th, opened it and booted it up, let it install the updates it wanted to and then used it very sparsely as I wasn't ready to start using it yet. There were no issues with it.
I started using it officially for work last week - I used it for 2 days and then this past Sunday I turned it on and something weird had happened to the screen.
Any ideas? I've talked to tech support with the company I bought it from (not HP) and they're clueless and told me I'm going to have to chat with HP. I've no idea how to describe this on the phone so I just wanted to post it here first and see if anyone has any ideas?
If I take a screenshot of the screen it doesn't show up - the screen looks normal.

Hey everyone. Just recieved this laptop yesterday and immediately turning it on, I noticed the entire display has these verticle lines. It's very appearant under a white background so that means I'm constantly noticing them. This is the best value 17T Y7C782AV_1. Anyone else have this problem with theirs? Thanks.

L2105tm and Windows 10....has anyone managed to tweak the Windows 7 driver to work?
I bought 20 of these, for my business, and when we upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, i felt a little upset because there was no support for it.
Does anyone have any proven, working solutions? I mean something you've tried, it worked, and you can stand by it? I'm not big into "try this" or "go here" unless you've done it and you know it works. It just saves time and energy on everyone's part.

From my search I found the Dell Stylus to be working well with the Spectre, however I have read here and in other websites about non-compatibility of Stylus (any stylus whether HP or Dell) with some models of Spectre (specifically the new ones).
As the shop which I am trying to get it from doesn't have Stylus to try with, I am seeking confirmation here that this type works with the Stylus before going forward and purchase.
Any help would be appreciated.

HP Folio 13 HDMI stops working when windows starts
The HDMI on my Folio suddenly stopped working. It works during the startup until the windows logo comes up and then it stops. I've updated all of the drivers, looked at deveice manager (although I can't see anything that says HDMI there). Does anyone have an idea?

F2 to F8 all the hotkeys are not working

Hi Experts,
I am Using HP 125-TX laptop with pre-installed Windows 10. All Drivers are updated Sucessfully. I have Intel HD Graphics 5500 and AMD Radeon HD 8600 both are also updated Sucessfully.
But F2 to F8 all the hotkeys are not working.
The screen brightness as well as volume up and down buttons are not working. Also I have updated the graphic adapter and still the condition is same no change.
Please provide me the solution to get rid of this problem as soon as possible.

shift keys are not working on hp pavillion.
I feel asleep at my laptop the other night and my head was on some of the keys. When I tried to use my laptop the next day neither of the Shift keys were working. Can anyone tell me what i may have done and how to fix it.

My device has no driver for the webcam.
I have no camera driver on my device and am having trouble downloading a working driver. I updated my device to windows 10 shortly after purchase and have not needed my camera until now. I am wondering if there are any camera drivers for my device which I can download as I need to get my webcam working asap. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Monitor does not display anything by HDMI (ONLY FROM COMPUTERS)
Hi, I'm having a problem with this monitor that shows nothing on screen, but, the thing is that only happens with computers. I have a CCTV system connected to a 2nd monitor working ok, these are the test I've made:
- Connect the monitor to a DVR to display video from security cameras [works]
- Connect any laptop to the original DVR monitor I was using to display video [works]
- Connect any laptop to the Monitor with failure with different HDMI cables [fail]
- Connect any laptop to the DVR Monitor [works]
So, after this I assumed that the problem is only with computers, but it's very strange, does any one knows why is this happen?
