Hi~ I’m suffering for graphic issue almost 1 month with brand new laptop “ZBook15 Studio G3”.
Win10-64bit was installed when I get it from shop. And I had some problem in installing graphic driver in Win10-64bit. Some of NVIDIA control panel menu were missed when I set BIOS built-in graphic options to “Auto” and “Hybrid. So I set to “Discrete” graphic option in BIOS setup and I could find full NVIDIA control panel menu including screen resolution. So I had no choice but to set BIOS with “Discrete” option. I updated graphic driver with recent version.
The problem is,
Whenever I disconnect AC power, notebook(graphic) speed drastically get slow(became 20% of original speed). And if I connect AC power, then speed get back to normal. This happens always and repeatable. But sometimes, graphic speed is ok in battery mode. For example, speed looks ok in battery mode at the beginning and when I connect AC power it is still ok. But If I disconnect AC power, the speed get slow. The only way that I can keep consistent speed was disabling “Microsoft ACPI controller”. Once I disable this, graphic speed is always consistent in battery or AC power. But I think this is not proper action.
My questions are
(1) Setting “Discrete” graphic option in BIOS means that I will dedicate to use NVIDIA graphic card only. Which means graphic speed shall be almost consistent whether I use laptop with battery power or AC power. Am I right?
(2) Someone told me that user can select one graphic option between Hybrid or Discrete external graphic card with “ZBook 15 G3”. But “Zbook 15 Studio G3” was designed to run only with Hybrid mode so I cannot select to use external graphic card(M1000M) with BIOS setup. Is this right?
(3) Regarding slow down issue in battery mode, do you think this situation is normal?
I updated graphic driver / BIOS and calibrated battery. Thanks for reading and any comment / advice will be appreciated.

I am trying to connect a monitor to my laptop but when I choose the option to extend screens, it will not allow me to. The monitors appear to be extended, however, I cannot move my mouse to the other screen. I have already tried readjusting the resolutions but it didnt do anything.
Suggestions on how to solve this problem? Are the monitor and my laptop not compatible?
I used to be able to right click on desktop click output to and click digital tv. Therefore ... Now withwindows 10 the only way I can find to get to the "project my screen charm" is to use the keyboard. ... Am I missing something?
Thanks
This computer is used by a class of 33 students. The Student brought me the computer with a white screen. He said all he did was boot it up. I turned it off and turned it on several times and it just gives you the white screen. I tried hitting the esc key when turning on the computer I was able to see the screen for a few seoconds and selected f2 but then it also became a white screen.
So I connected it to a projector using an HDMI cable and it I was able to see it. I logged in and can do anything i need if it's connected to the projector. I've looked at the computer there are no dings or scratches, I've pressed around the screen and hinges area to see if there is something loose but it will not show the screen. So my question is what now? The warrenty expired Jan 7. Is it the screen that needs replacing or is it possibly a wire that loose inside?
This is the same batch of computers that I had one computer overheat while being turned off and charging. It started burning and smoking two weeks ago from the plug that goes into the computer. I'm starting to worry that these computers cannot handle the use of students daily for four hours. I haven't hand any issues with our chromebook carts or macbooks. Looking for a solution thanks.

I looked through the help pages for different styluses and the help page to choose one but I didn't find any information on whether or not my laptop is able to use an active stylus or not. Could someone help me so I don't go and waste money on a product that I can't use?
I have an HP Split, it currently works fine in tablet mode, but when I attach it to the keyboard, the screen becomes unresponsive to touch, the keyboard doesn't work, no does the charger, or the mouse. The laptop is only a year old, and it is extremely frustrating that many people are having this issue and there does not seem to be a working solution posted anywhere. Also, I am dissapointed that HP has no alternative docking system to use with the split to serve as a work-around when this issue occurs. I depend on my laptop for work, and I am immensely dissapointed. This will most likely my first and last HP laptop.
Purchased two (2) AOC HDMI FHD displays for use with my Spectre x360. I'm driving them through the USB 3 with a j5Create USB3 to Dual HDMI adapter. The result is spotty in that they don't wake up immediately from sleep in as extended desktops. I have to reboot as often as it works. I'll return them and switch to displaylink monitors if that will work better. I have installed the AOC and j5create drivers. The display options and the hardware scans see the monitors and list their model names.
Will the displaylink ports work better for dual external monitors?
Is displaylink the same as displayport? Thanks!
Sometimes my HP Spectre increases the size of type to gargantuan! It starts by the HP "?" changing in size to about an inch in the task bar. Then, when I try to save a file, the screen type is so large that I cannot read anything on it.
As you can see in the image attached, even the upper right corner click buttons are spreading apart about 3".
I have turned the computer off and rebooted, but it still happens. It turns on normally and then within a couple of minutes it stops normal functioning.
I have a 27" monitor and you can see what little is on the screen.
helllo ,i am using hp pavilian 360 13 ,befor it working properly ,
but now suddenly it stop auto rotating ,please advise me

Ladies and gentlemen,
this is my first post so let me say hello first. My name is Ray, 48 years, Munich, Bavaria. I usually solve problems without need of much help, but today I am totally stuck. I have a quite old HP530 laptop computer, with Core 2 Duo T5200 processor and 4GB Ram. Intel 945GM chipset and graphics. It came with windows XP then and worked fine for years. Then the harddrive went bad and I replaced it by a good one. Having to reinstall the system, I decided to go for win7 x64 ultimate edition. I have a valid license for it and read posts about successful upgrades.
What can I say, everything went smooth and straight. Windows installed properly, no errors or so. But now the graphics are not good, there are lines of dots wandering over the screen in somehow geometrical forms.
I can read everything, just doesnt look nice.
Switching the driver back to standard vga, then the problem is gone, but then the max. resolution is 1024x768.
I have updated the drivers to newer versions (both from HP and Intel) but no improvement. I read hints about nvidia or asrock drivers that might solve the problem, but nobody could tell me which one.
Hopefully there is someone here who knows what to do!
Many thanks in advance.
Ray

HI
I am setting up a VR party service.I have a HTC Vive connected to HDMI and USB.
I am trying to duplicate my screen onto a TV , the OMEN only has one HDMI port so i have added an HDMI splitter and can see the display on the TV but the headset on the vive does not work.
Is there a workaround on this.
or
Can I use the mini display port to connect to the TV?
Amazon( where I bought PC )have offered a refund but I'd like to find a solution.
thanks
