HP Probook 450 G1 won't use switchable graphics
I am currently using Win 10 Enterprise 64-bit. I tried installing the newest drivers for both Intel HD Graphics 4600 and AMD Radeon HD8750M. Then I made profiles for the games in the Settings and set them to High Performance, in order to use the AMD card. Then I ran the AMD System Monitor to see if it is working but it wasn't. After that I read a post in the forums that I should install the drivers from the HP site. I deleted AMD drivers completely. Installed the drivers for AMD and Intel from the HP driver site. I also updated the BIOS. Then I changed the settings for the games to High Performance, ran my game and my AMD System Monitor and it was not working. I am so annoyed of this Intel graphics card that I want to disable it but there is no such option in the BIOS... So, HP Support Team, how can I use the GPU that I want?

Split x2 won't power on

We have had trouble for the last few months but were always able to get the laptop to power on until a few days ago.
We researched and tried the suggestions. Tried, unsuccessfully, to do a hard reset. Took the Laptop to Staples. The tech did some research, told us it was a common problem. He thought there should have been a recall but couldn't find one. He told us to call HP. Since it is not under warranty HP said you have to pay to talk to a customer service rep. use the forum. So here I am.
We downloaded the manual. It shows how to take it apart. If we take it apart can we fix it? Staples tech mentioned that some posts say the problem is caused by a wire that comes loose.

I need to watch a movie on another DVD program
So whenever I try to watch a movie dvd and put it in the computer the DVD RW Drive box comes up and it only gives me two options. One option is to watch it on the POWER DVD 12 program or "Take no action". I have tried to watch it on Power DVD 12 program before and it gave me the option to upgrade it which I would have to pay money for to do that. And I want to figure out how to watch a movie on another computer program besides Power DVD 12. Preferably Windows Media Player.

Touchpad has completely stopped working
So this laptop is a few years old and i just started using a wireless Logitech mouse.. The problem only started today but for some reason the touchpad has completely stopped working, the left and right click wont work either. I have gone into mouse settings and it's telling me that the touchpad is working properly and nothing has been changed. Please help me

Video Card not Detected
Hi,
I have a problem with the detection on my Video Card Amd Radeon . The model of my notebook is HP 15-ay028nl and even if I have red in the specification that I have a double Video Card, intel and Amd Radeon, the sistem cannot detect it. It detects just the intel intern card and not the dedicated one. I tried installing the last CAtalyst driver found in the Hp site but still nothing. It is strange in order that there is even the stick "AMD radeon Graphics" attacched on the front panel of the notebook (near Intel core I7 stick). I also download all the updates adviced me by the Hp support assistant.
What can be the problem? I m starting to think that there is no Graphic card at all installed.

hinges breaking notebook HP ENVY TouchSmart 17
It seems that there is a quality issue with hinges on the notebook computers. My husband and I both have HP envy 17 and the hinges are crumbling. Pieces are breaking off and some are falling into the computers. My fan started making noise and had error issues related. Took computer apart to clean out small pieces of the hinge. Working again but still crumbling.
Our family has 5 notebook computers and all were HP. Breaking hinges has now happened to 4 out of the 5 notebooks. Other than this issue we have been happy with HP but this is a big enough issue our HP loyalty is at stake. Our computers are not in warranty anymore but this seems to be a quality build issue. Is HP doing anything to fix this? What can I do to extend the life of my notebook? Can you send replacement hinges (even offer at low cost) and a video upload on how to fix? Will you stand behind your product?

w4m80ea won't install graphic driver
Hi, i've a brand new hp G255 cod. w4m80ea.
I've installed Windows 7 home 32bit SP1.
I've installed all drivers from hp site.
I cannot install the graphic driver.
I download it from hp site, I install the driverbut at the endof the installation thedriver is not installed: no errors reports.
it shows VGA STANDARD.
What's wrong?

Hp bios update has wrecked my laptop
Hp assistant performed a bios update.. Laptop was working fine now it's doing nothing every time I switch it on it goes through the update until it comletes. Does 3 beeps 4 times with caps lock flashing. Caps lock then continues to flash 3 times periodically. Hp wants over £200 to repair. They say it's a problem with the motherboard. Although 2.5 years old the most it's been used is 50 times max and all I do on it is Internet and store my photos. I am really not happy and certainly won't be giving hp any of my money. This is really bad customer service! Not impressed!

How do I clean the touchscreen without turning the light off?
Strangely my wife's PC doesn't have a sticker showing the model/serial number so all I know is that it's an HP Envy 17. Only PC I've ever seen like that but that's not the problem.
The instructions for cleaning the touchscreen say to turn the PC off & then clean the screen. The problem is that with the PC off we can't see where the dust, hair, and fingerprints are. We clean all of our other screens while they're on so the cleaning doesn't cause a problem, it's the touching. Can we turn off the driver so the screen doesn't respond to touch?

Skype crashing on machine with Intel HD 5500
Skype crashing upon opening on machine with Intel HD 5500. I uninstall the drivers and Skype works fine. Reinstalled Skype crashes. Intel gave me other drivers to install but no resolve. They sent me back to HP.
Any ideas?

Seeking Stylus/Pen for Envy 360

I have looked but find confilcting information. I purchased the Envy for photo editing/drawing due to large screen size. Does this unit have digitizer? And what pen or stylus will work with the touchscreen? I hate to spend 50 + dollars only to have to return a pen.

HP Envy 23 Display Issue
On bootup after the PC has been off for an extended period of time, the display is distorted. Sort of purplish. I can sort of see what is going on in the back ground, see the HP logo on POST boot, see my background when getting into Windows.
After about a minute, the issue will sort of go away, on the right side of the screen the display will be sort of grainy, on the left side it looks great.
Any idea what the issue could be?

HELP! Cracked screen on 2 month old HP Pavilion x360 Covertible PC 13-u104na
Hi all,
I own a 2 month old HP Pavilion x360 Covertible PC (13-u104na) purchased in November 2016 directly from HP's website. The laptop is still under active warranty (ends November 2017).
This evening I followed my usual routine after university and went to surf the web on my laptop. After about half an hour of web surfing, I realised what I initially thought was a hair lingering on the rop right corner of my screen, was in actual fact a crack!
The laptop itself is still in full working order - including the touchscreen feature. Before anyone asks, I have never ever dropped the laptop nor have I accidently hit the screen with anything to possibly cause this. Furthermore, no one else in my household has access to this laptop so they could not have done this. What's even more schocking to me is that I don't even use the touchscreen feature! I don't even use the trackpad either! because I use the laptop on my desk using a wireless mouse. Therefore I cannot comprehend how this could have happened. It must be a product defect.
I am a very honest person and never try to cheat the system. If something was my fault then i'll own up to it and accept the consequences and to prove this, I currently have a 2015 HP Spectre x360 in for repair at a local repair shop for water damage which was my doing.
I have trawled through forums and have noticed that this is not a unique issue. However others have said that HP refused to repair under warranty! Some of the repair charges i've seen in those forums are very very worrying and they would be uneconomical especially for a student like myself. Im stressing my life out now since it's now outside business hours so I can't contact anyone at HP atm. If I am refused a repair under warranty I am going to lose my head.
Has anyone here gone through a similar problem? Do you reckon HP will repair this under warranty? What shall I do?!!

Issue with Graphics card Driver in DM4 Beats edition-unable to install
Hi,
I am not able to install the video driver for the graphics card, resulting in a very standard resolution. Everytime i try to install the driver, the system gets stuck at the windows start page,showing just the windows logo. Is it becasue of dmagaed graphics card? If yes is it practicle to replace the card?

Hp 17 y009ur AMD/Radeon Switchable graphic problem.
Amd A8 7410 with R5 graphics/ And Radeon R7 M440.
Every program starts all time with R5 Graphics and i cant change it.
So when i trying 2 switch graphic in Catalyst Control Center It says 2 me what everything is fine but after i open a program
It says WHAT IT USE R5 GRAPHICS CARD.
after that i was trying 2 switch it in Bios But i dont find any switchable graphic category in bios so.
If ill off my amd R5 graphics in dispatcher it wont help.
Radeon settings same dont help here.
Someone can give me link 2 switch my graphic card software or something helpfull plis?
