I have a Pavilion 17 notebook with Windows 8.1 and I am having trouble projecting to a duplicate screen (my TV). I think it isn't detecting my TV via the hdmi port because it is listed as Generic PnP Monitor in the Control Panel under Devices. When I try to change the appearance of my display in the Control Panel under Display -> Screen Resolution and I try to apply "duplicate these displays" I get an error message saying "The display settings could not be saved. Please try a different combination of display settings." Any advice on how I can get this to work? Thanks!

connecting hp 23xw monitor to hp ultralim docking station

spectre x360 with 3005pr slow and taskbar glitch when lid is closed
I have the combination of a spectre x360 with a port replicator 3005pr (USB 3.0). It is connected to an external Monitor, LAN, external drives, keyboard and mouse via the port replicator. When the lid is closed I am experiencing two problems:
1.) The computer (e.g. accessing and opening files on our network drives, external drive, etc.) is getting very slow.
To narrow down the problem I tried a few things.
It definetly doesn't happen when working without the portreplicator (e.g. accessing the same network over vpn from home).
When I open the lid of the laptop it imporves, it is hard to tell if it is as fast as without the port replicator but it is way better and good enough for the usally task I have to work on.
I assumed it maybe is a problem with the laptop going in a lower power mode (and yes I set Windows to do nothing when the lid is closed), but I couldn't find any settings in the BIOS or Windows to improve this behaviour.
2.) Under the same circumstances the taskbar shows a glitch. It is always changing on the bottom right corner. To be more specific a black rectangle is appearing and disappearing all the time.

elitebook 840 custom resolution
Hi I have a new elitebook 840 G3 with intel HD graphics 5500, I installed the lasted driver but my external monitor does not have the correct resolution, I try adding the a cutom resolution but the option is not present in the Intel graphics control panel and the CustomModeApp.exe is not in the system32 folder, any ideas?

Maximum resolution of 1920 x 768 not available
I have two Hp EliteBook 840 G2 laptops installed with Windows 7 64-bit prfessional. One has a maximum screen resolution of 1366 x768 while the other has a maximum of 1920 x 1080. I have insatlled the latest graphics driver from hp on the one with the lower resoution but 1366 x 768 remains the max. Is there a setting or other driver that I am missing?

Streaming video stutters
While streaming video the picture is choppy and/or stutters. This has been happening for several months now. I have checked the download speed from Speedtest.net and it is always around 85 - 90 MBps so that is not the problem.
I have used Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Opera, all with the same results. Cache has been cleared from browsers also. Also have tried pausing video for about 5-10 minutes so video could fully download, but that did not help either.
I sure there are an infinte amount of possible problems causing this, but what are some of the more likely problems?
Laptop is 6 years old now but is snappy in performing everything else.

Many site wrote this product has an ips display
But is doubt that be because it seems only tn film panel. So my eyes messing me or the product description wrong

HP Z24nq chain display problem.
Hello from Italy,
I bought 2x HP Z24nq displays and connected one of them to my HP Docking Station (DisplayPort). As those monitors are projected to be used in chain until 4 units, i connected a DisplayPort cable to the OUT port of the main monitor to the IN port of the other one. The notebook has an NVIDIA QUADRO FX880M. The problem is that Windows 7 x64 doesn't recognize the second monitor and clones the main desktop to the 2nd monitor, in the right resolution QHD at 2560*1440. But doesn't extend like i want, it only clones.
I tried to connect separately the two monitors one to the DP Port of the docking station, and the other one to the DVI-D port of the same docking and it works: Windows recognize 2 monitors and allowed me to extend the desktop correctly. The problem is that the DVI-D port supports only resolution up to 1920*1200 
Why the chain via DisplayPort (setted on 1.2 on both monitors) doesn't work?

Problem with blur
Dear,
I bought this notebook before 10 dayes and can't solve problem with blur at some situation.
If I want to instal some programs or drivers, preinstalation window is with blur.
I tride some drivers from your site, but without success.
I checked all points from this page http://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c01881110, but again without success.
I don't know what to do, can you please help me?

Up pavilion 360 random shutdown
HP 360x random shutdown. Screen blanks out and soon laptop powers off. Not hot and occurs whether plugged in or on battery. Still under warranty. How do I fix this

Random lag and robotic sounds
Hello,
Recently I decided to factory reset my computer, and since then I have been experiencing sudden lag and very robotic audio. I'm confused as to why this is happening and how to fix it considering it has never happened before the reset. It occurs quite often and includes all audio from my speakers to suddenly go extremely robotic and a whole bunch of lag.
I have tried to update my graphics driver to see if it would fix anything, and I got an error message after restarting my computer from NVIDIA Installer saying "NVIDIA Installer cannot continue This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware."
I'd appreciate any help in order to get this fixed, thank you in advance.

white dots on display
I just bought this notebook, a couple of months ago, I bought it at bestbuy laredo tx. an now my display or screen has two white dots, I can belived, if i paid for something good this is not acceptable. I kept this in a special backpack.
Can someone help me with this unacceptable issue.
