I have a Win 7 dm4 with Intel graphics and a newer Samsung 1080p tv. I have tried unsuccessfully to get hdmi output to the tv. I get a No Signal error message on the tv. I have tried all the online recommended steps of plugging in and powering up in various orders, have downloaded the latest drivers, Have tried various screen resolutions. Have tested the hdmi cable to ensure it works. Have tested both HDMI ports on the tv. (Also cannot get the output on another smaller HDMI capable tv.)

 

My pc recognizes the tv. It shows in the Intel Video options by model name. It appears in my devices as a Generic PnP device. When I use Win+P to move between Projector, Computer, Extend, or Duplicate, none of those choices gets me an image on my tv. If I use Projector only, I get a black computer screen and have to use Alt+Ctrl+F3 to get my monitor display back.

 

 

When I power the connected tv on, my acknowledges the connecting device (blip of screen and connecting device audio alert), but still no display. 

 

Any assistance would be appreciated.

 I have  HP pavilion dv6114tx laptop.which has got pre installed windos XP.I have upgraded the OS to win-7(32 bit).Now searching for VGA drivers.At HP website it is said that you have to go to particular company's website (ex-nvidia) for graphics drivers. i also went there and downloaded a win-7(32 bit)  VGA drivers but are not compatible with my laptop.

Hello.
I have a Hp pavilion notebook. one day i was working with it, put it in sleep mode,when put the lid up again the actual screen was really dim for some reason. i tried moving the monitor back and forth, then the screen got normal again.
few days later, i turned on the laptop to find that screen is blank! i could see the light in screen changing whn the laptop was starting, but couldn't see the actual screen. i tried using it with an external monitor, and it worked. i tried using some techniques like holding the power button for thirty seconds and plugging in the charger, but nothing worked. So I left the laptop untouched for a few hours. when turned it on, the screen was back again. So i used it normally for a few days. it's worth mentioning that during these days i couldn't see initial screens before password entering screen when computer starts . also i found that my webcam wasn't working (i know, alot of problems!). so the reinstalled webcam driver few days later, put in hibernate, start next morning and there was the blank screen again. and it still works on external monitor.

Can anyone give any solution to these problems? Thank you.

I recently broke the screen on my HP dv6z-7000 notebook. I bought the hp screen with the same replacement code as found on the back of the computer screen. Everything seemed fine until I got the new screen connected. I turned on the computer and it didn't display anything. How can I figure out what is wrong with my computer?

I have no video to monitor , none to external monitor also.  Caps light flashes.  I was told that that's an indication from Windows that monitor is dying.  Is that correct?  Also, w/o taking it apart, wud like to find out specific serial # of motherboard if I have toget another one.  It's Win 7 & AMD processor if that helps.

When I went to set a photo as desktop background, it would only display a portion of the image. Is there a way to adjust setting so the photo remains proportional This wasn`t a problem until today.

Hi people,

 

First of all, I'm new to this forum and felt urged to ask a question so here I go:) :

 

 

My notebook promised to have AMD Radeon HD 8670M (2 GB DDR3 dedicated) graphics.

Games ran horribly (also with very low resultion and detail setting) with frame-rates that made it hard to move your cursor to the other side of the screen.

That's why I decided to upgrade the graphics card driver. When I installed the correct(?) driver from the AMD website, the screen appeared upon startup with black borders around it, not completely filling the entire laptop screen.

 

Now something that makes it even stranger: When looking up what was wrong in the windows configuration screen under (hardware->video&sound->screen->screen-resolution->advanced settings(translated from Dutch)),  it told me that my notebook has an intel HD 4400 graphics adapter type with 2000mb dedicated memory. This must clearly be a mistake right? 

 

How can I get my notebook to recognise the correct graphics card and how can I get my screen resolution to fit the entire screen? 

 

I'd be very happy to hear from you guys, because I'm not that intelligent with computers I guess.

Hi,

 

I upgraded my windows to 8.1. Got a problem with the brightness control. It does not work on functions buttons and the slide on the control panel. I downloaded the latest driver from the video card, but also did not work. The problem is with Radeon. Intel has been successfully installed

 

Please could you help me?

Hi everyone,

This is my first post.

I'm having a strange problem when installing a newer version of AMD Drivers from HP's site for my HP Probook 4540s. I'm having an error at the end of the installation saying "Failures occured during installation" (Image attatched)

Please note that I've downloaded the software from HP's official driver download page after letting it detect my Notebook. Attached are my FULL specs (though dxdiag didn't detect my AMD card, just a switchable graphics thing), the error in JPEG, error log and my currend AMD Drivers Properties window (or whatever you call it) in JPEG.

P.S. I'm good at compters so I'm comfortable at doing anything risky to solve this thing.

Hello,

I have hp pavillion g6 with graphic card: Radeon HD 7670 M

Something had went wrong with my laptop and it had to be recovered.

I didn't had a recovery disk.. When my Laptop came back from repair, then in

Device Manager> Display Adapters> In Radeon graphic card it showed a warning sign....

I updated the card through device manager and the warning sign disappeared

I observered that when i had newly bought my laptop, it had Catalyst Control Center Pre-Installed in it..

Now it did'nt do i tried to download the latest version...

Everything is fine but in the end I am Not prompted to restart my PC.

After the install, nothing happens, before when i right clicked in desktop it showed Configure swithcable graphics etc.

but now it does'nt

I cant Play my newly bought games AC3 and Far cry 3...

External monitor will not displa full screen after windows 8.1 upgrade.  Have tried to adjust through windows screen resolution settings and directly through monitor menu to no avail. Monitor is Acer S230HL only 2 month old and laptop is 2 week old HP 2000 notebook.

External monitor displays with 1/2" wide black border around all edges.

Have searched Acer & HP sites for updated drivers already.

When i try to stream / watch videos online it plays few minuets then just stops and buffs. My internet speed is fine and seems to do the same when i try to download updates for my laptop ie at about 10% just stops

I have has this laptop for a month and I have noiced when I move the screen forward it goes to a blank screen. 

If it is jolted it sometimes does this.

It does go back to the normal screen it is just fustrating when I adjust my screen and It goes blank until I move it again.

 

I was just wondering if there is a fix for this or something

Again its only a month old!
