On the screen of this laptop, the video is blurred. The video is crystal clear when using the HDMI port.  I have updated the drivers and OS.   Resolution is set to recommended native.

Two-finger scrolling

I had a problem with two-finger scroll (2FS) in large Word documents. 2FS would not work in the document pane when the file is large. It would continue to work in any of the other panes (e.g., Navigation and Styles).  2FS worked fine in any other program.

I tried all of the drivers available from HP and none seemed to work. I reloaded Office and that didn't fix anything. Finally, I went to the Synaptics site and downloaded their base driver for Windows 10 (19.0.19.1). That driver works fine. Not only does the base driver work, it has more features than the drivers available throuh HP.

I think that, in the process of defeaturing the driver, something got screwed up. Use the basic Synaptics driver. I have not seen any problems wit the 19.0.19.1 driver.

How do I fix this!!

HP ENVY Laptop - 15t touch: is HDMI v. 2.0 (UHD @ 60hz)

Does the HDMI output on this laptop support full 4K @ 60hz (my understanding is that this requires HDMI v 2.0).  I want to be able to add a secondary Monitor running at full 4K @ 60hz resolution.

This is the latest version of this laptop using i7 cpu / with laptop display running at 4K - 60hz (UHD)

"15.6" diagonal UHD IPS UWVA anti-glare WLED-backlit (3840 x 2160) Touchscreen (for IR Camera) "

Looking at an HDMI technical site I see that what I want would require HDMI 2.0b (or the latest 2.1) spec

"HDMI 2.0b Specification is backwards compatible with earlier versions of the HDMI specification. It also enables key enhancements to support market requirements for enhancing the consumer video and audio experience.

What are the key advanced features enabled by HDMI 2.0b?

  • Enables transmission of High Dynamic Range (HDR) video
  • Bandwidth up to 18Gbps
  • 4K@50/60 (2160p), which is 4 times the clarity of 1080p/60 video resolution
  • Up to 32 audio channels for a multi-dimensional immersive audio experience
  • Up to 1536kHz audio sample frequency for the highest audio fidelity
  • Simultaneous delivery of dual video streams to multiple users on the same screen
  • Simultaneous delivery of multi-stream audio to multiple users (Up to 4)
  • Support for the wide angle theatrical 21:9 video aspect ratio
  • Dynamic synchronization of video and audio streams
  • CEC extensions provide more expanded command and control of consumer electronics devices through a single control point"

HP Omen Laptop

Recently purchased a HP Omen Laptop 17" for my daughter with the "bumper to bumper" 3 year warranty.  She shared last night and again today that she is noticing small green spots appearing along the bottom of the LCD panel while the laptop is running and the screen is black--sleep/hibernate mode.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

David Cole

HP Envy 15t-k000 with Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 no longer has 1920x1080 resolution

I had installed an insider preview build of windows 10 a while back and it wiped the 1920x1080p display option. I rolled back my OS and the driver, but the option did not return. Since then I have performed a clean install of windows 10 and the display option did not return. I have tried a couple times to solve the issue, but now I finally have the time to formally address this and hopefully find a fix. It's not a big issue, but it pisses me off every time I think of it. Any suggestions to fix this?

Cracked screen no reason

My laptop is a couple of years old but rarely used, probably the equivalent of two months of regular use. It has always been carefully looked after, never dropped or treated roughly and kept in a padded laptop bag.

In spite of this a crack has appeared from nowhere top to bottom of the screen which I am told will cost over £120 to fix.

Is this a fault of the model or production run that HP will make good? There was no incident that could be blamed so must have been a manufacturing fault.

Otherwise can the touch sensitive overscreen be removed to leave a working laptop without touchscreen capability as it is clearly not worth replacing a dodgy part at vast expense?

Have one of those pad mouse right on the notebook. It gets so jumpy -- wants world domination and doesn't give a **bleep** what I think (or feel).

Please help. I can't get any of my work done. And buying a cordless mouse is not an option; those cramp up my hand :/

Cheers!

Aloha!

I just bought a pavilion x360 laptop for school and I use the touchpad to scroll up and down pages a lot. However, the touchpad for my laptop seems not working as well as it should be.

When I tried to scroll down pages by using the touchpad but only the mouse is moving around on the page. What should I do so I can use my touchpad to scroll up and down?

Mouse Touchpad Click is Too Stiff

I recieved my Pavillion Laptop 15-au070sa for Christmas 2016, so I've had it less than three weeks, and I'm finding that clicking the mousepad is way too hard, my hands are painfull within minutes. The pressure needed to click the mousepad is way higher than it should be, and I cannot find a way to alter the pressure in the settings. I have now got a bluetooth mouse, which helps when I am sitting at a table. However, most of the time I use my laptop on my lap, so I don't have room for an external mouse, plus, I don't see why I should be placed in a position where I have no option but to use an external mouse.

How should I deal with this please?

Looking for stylus for HP Pavilion x2 detachable

Hello all, I am trying to find a good stylus that will work for my sister's pavilion 10 x2. the model number is 10-N113DX. when i go to settings>system>about it states "Pen and touch support with 10 touch points". i didnt realize how many different types of active stylus/pens there were until i started looking into getting  one., and it turns out there are several different versions of the "Pavilion 10 x2". my sister is going off to school with this computer and needs a stylus similar to the HP active stylus for writing music/drawing. does anyone know of a stylus that will work or if the HP active stylus will work with this computer? any help would be appreciated!

external monitor flickering, shaking, going black then back on

$

In the last few months I have purchased the ProBook 655, UltraSlim Docking Station, and two monitors all from HP.com.  I am trying to connect the monitors from the Docking station's DisplayPort to the Monitors VGA port.  The screen flicker, shake, and go black then come back on again.

I have updated the graphics card. Updated the firmware for the Docking Station with several different updates (SP69276.exe, SP74203.exe, and SP75855.exe). All this resulted in absolutely no change. Also, tried 4 different cables.

If I undock the computer and use the displayport on the side of the computer the monitors work perfectly.  So I don't think that it has to do with the graphics card.  The VGA to VGA cable between the docking station and monitor works great too.  But I really desire to run to full size monitors and there is only one VGA port on the docking station.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try next?  I am finding it impossible to even find a phone number to call HP to see if they can help.

What video drivers should I install for the HP ProBook 470 G3 (P4P71EA)?

Hello,

I'm very confused ...
I am an owner of the HP ProBook 470 G3 (P4P71EA).
To properly using the AMD graphic card, I will need to install the both drivers package:

  1. AMD Hybrid Graphics (HG) Video Driver
  2. AMD Video Drivers and Control Panel

or simply the

  1. AMD Hybrid Graphics (HG) Video Driver?

Thank you!

Sandi
