unit powers ups. leds light up at the top but the numlock or caps do not. have hooked up external monitor, nothing. did memory test, nothing. changed out the hard drive, nothing. Have drained the power to reset the bios, nothing. The fan runs. The HDD indicator led on the frnt of the unit doesn't light.
unit was working, closed the lid, didn't power off, short time later open the lid and was met with a black screen.

Touch screen is not working on Pavilion x360
Touch screen worked when we got the laptop a week ago. Then stopped working a fews later.
Of course the machine downloaded many patches to Windows 10 in it's first few.
Yes I have gone to the Pen and Touch control ui, it says it is enabled.
Also tried the callibrate UI, I get the calibrate UI, but the cross hair never moves.
I have updated all system drivers, all the devices say they are up to date.

AMD Radeon 5 "not installed"
I have just purchased a Pavilion 15-ba016na, and the graphics are not working properly. I have the "Radeon Setting" option but when I choose to change them, I get the error message that "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for you AMD hardware."
I have tried uninstalling the adaptor (after booting to Safe Mode) and letting Windows rediscover and download the latest driver, but that didn't solve it, and neither did downloading the latest driver from the HP website. Is there anything else I should try?

In viewing photos from my picture file I can no longer hit an arrow button to go through the pictures. I use Photo app that is suggested for my computer. When placing my SD card in my computer slot it will not open with Pictures either. I take lots of pictures and I am very frustrated.

Mouse on laptop has mind of its own
I have had this trouble since a just few months after having my computer but now it has gotten a lot worse. When I am typing in word, or scrolling through the internet it just takes off and starts clicking on stuff, erasing stuff, moving stuff, opening new tabs etc. It is really getting annoying when I am doing schoolwork and I have to keep stopping to fix the things I didn't open or erase. What are your suggestions? This needs to get fixed ASAP because I have a timed exam tomorrow that I have to type up and I do not want to have to keep worrying about when this crappy computer is gonna mess up again. It has given me nothing but problems since a few months after I bought it and now this problem with the mouse is happening more and more frequently. Sometimes after I shut down my computer and restart it that helps temporarily.

Mysterious grey bar on computer screen
I had this computer for three years nows and I have take care of it and made sure that nothing traumatic will happen to it.
Just today I have noticed there is a almost translucent green-ish grey bar on my computer screen when I was turing on my computer. At the same time, my computer refused to turn on properly so I had to manually restart the computer thinking that the bar was something being caused by it. I turn it back on to see that it is still on my screen.
If I put my cursor underneath it, I could still see it but the bar will be more green than grey. I have also taken a screenshot of my computer, paste it on photoshop and scale it down to see if it is was deeper than the screen itself and the picture came out like a normal screenshot will and green-grey bar free too. So far, it hasn't gotten larger but I'm worried to see if it will affect my computer negatively in the future.
If this is just a problem with my screen and not with the actual computer itself, then I would want to know if this is just an easy thing to fix. I'm currently in uni and this week is finals week so I'm worried to see if it is harmful and will be bothersome. Thank you in advance for any tips on this.

Display turning off without power adapter
Hello All,
Last week I had issue with my laptop hinges so hp service center had replaced top and bottom cover and yesterday I got my laptop back.
Now after getting it, what I observed is whenever I try to run my laptop without power cable the display is switching off. When I plug in the power cable it is turning back on. I see that the laptop is fully charged and power options in balanced mode.
I'm not sure whether it is hardware or software issue. Can anyone suggest me? Do I need to get the laptop back to service center.

Computer works, display doesn't
This might be a bit convoluted but here goes.
My keyboard started having issues, keys were working, so I ordered a new one and installed it. During the installation the connection for my display broke. But I could use an external monitor until I got the new motherboard in.
I replaced the motherboard but the display still didn't work. It still worked with the external monitor.
I replaced the display, but it still isn't working. It works fine with the external monitor.
I've updated all the drivers. I've updated the bios (which I can't actually get into because the external monitor doesn't work until it gets to Windows)
I have no idea what to do next other than try a new display connector.
Any ideas?

HP ENVY x360 Screen Flickering [Solved]
I bought the HP ENVY x360 13.3 from Costco. It was a great deal for an i7 with 16GB of RAM. I noticed that when I installed apps or when the machine was under load the screen would show flickering blocks all over. Flickering black blocks as if there was static on the screen. I tried a few things to fix the problem.
- I reset Windows 10
- Ran Windows Update to get current.
- Uninstalled and Re-Installed the display dirver from the Device Manager.
None of these worked.
Here is what worked:
1. Since the issue affected my display and apparently nothing else, I went to the HP Drivers page for my model.
For mine it was here
2. I noticed that there was an updated driver for version 1607 of Windows. That matched the version on my machine. I downloaded and installed the new display driver.
3. Problems Solved! Haven't had the flicker blocks since. After that I downloaded and installed all of the 1607 updates. I am so good now! I really like this machine.
I hope this helps others that have the same problem.

I bought an envy and you cant see the keyboard, it is silver letters on sliver keypad. In certain lighting conditions and sitting a certain angles you cant see it at all. With the light on Ugggh

Cannot Find Camera Drivers
I had some trouble with my Laptop as it wouldn't detect my built-in camera. So I decided to uninstall the camera drivers and re-install them. Problem is I cannot find the drivers anywhere. After I uninstalled them, "Imaging Devices" in Device Manager suddenly dissapeared! PLEASE HELP!!!
