when I Push fn+f2 or fn+f3 buttons, brightness of monitor doesnot low or high. and all of my drivers installed. my display drivers in device manager are AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series and Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000. all of these installed.

After upgrading to Win 8.1 64bit, my HDMI output can't display/work. I'm trying to connect to TV via HDMI converter (HDMI to AV RCA (yellow-red-white).
Anyw, the VGA output (extend/duplicate display to 2nd CPU monitor) work just fine.
My notebook:

I opened my HP Spectre 360 one day when it was less than a year old and the screen was cracked. I am unsure how this happened as it had just been in the case. I have had a few quotes for getting it fixed (including from HP itself) and am absolutely shocked about how much this will cost - well over half what I originally paid for it which I really can't afford. The fact it is still under guarantee but screen repair isn't covered makes this doubly painful. I'm a small business owner and since I don't know what caused the crack in the first place I'm terrified it will happen again once it's fixed. Is there really nothing HP can do to help me with the costs of this? It has seriously put me off your product and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone else given the current situation.
I've tried contacting you over the phone but as I was based in Bangkok at the time I was referred to the office there and they basically couldn't speak English so support from them has been negligible. All they could do was send me an extortionate quote.
I am aware this may not be the correct forum for this but am getting desperate as I need the repairs making but can't work out how to meet the cost.

i have tried finding drives from the hp website but have no idea what i am doing. I would need really simple instructions on how to find this and resolve the issue.

Just recently I tried to connect my laptop to my TV via the HDMI socket but nothing worked no sound or picture it used to work but haven't tried since upgrading to windows 10 any ideas anyone. Thanks
I recently updated to windows 10 and it worked fine for a day. But today I noticed as soon as I opened my PC, the taskbar kept on refreshing. I even tried uninstalling IDT audio by looking at other forums but that didnt solve anything. Please help it continues for 2-3 minutes.

I have the i7 gen 6 Spectrex360 model N1R86UA#ABA with the Intel 520 HD display chip.
The current driver on HP is from 1-25-2016. This driver is WAY TOO OLD!
Firefox and other browsers are turning off features such as H.264 decoding and other items because it is out of date. For instance, in Firefox using your out dated driver, I had to turn off hardware acceleration to stop the screen from being corrupted.
I updated the driver by simply going into Control Panel, selecting the graphics chip, and selecting "update driver" from the internet. It has updated the graphics driver to what is considered the 'anniversary release' from Intel dated 9-23-2016.
If you open up firefox, in the menu select the "?" and then "troubleshooting information" you will get a report as shown below (shown with updated driver). You will notice in the first section, everything seems fine and enabled.
If you use the HP supplied driver (nearly 1 year old now) it will show you most features have an issue.
Updating to the latest driver really improved my performance. This is especially true when playing video as with the old driver, the video playback features of the 520 chip was being turned off and thus video decoding was bring done by the processor .. very hot .. very short battery life.
HP .. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR APPROVED DISPLAY DRIVER TO THE INTEL LATEST!!!!

Even after updating windows and the display drivers, I'm unable to set the resolution to anything above 1366x768.
Have I been sent the wrong machine?

Everything works, excepts External Screen that it's conected via RCA cable to Dock...

Hi! I was doing my homework when suddenly the letters i typed in the keyboard started showing wrong letters and also two letters at the same time. I have a HP Pavilion 15-n034so and I've already done everything that Hp support said to do and also restored the laptop but it's still not working. For example when I type the letter P it becomes po and when i type the number 3 it becomes ö3l. I really need your help to fix this!
The touch pad gets in the way when I am using Word with mouse. I wind up touching pad with thumb or palm and cursor takes off. How can I disable the touch pad when I am using Word?
