Hello,

 

I've been having a strange problem with my laptop lately. Difficult to explain.

Basically what happens is that my screen essentially goes crazy or "spazzes out" or the pixels just get all jumbled up and it often turns black and white. This is sometimes accompained by a loud beeping noise. The screen quickly turns off and the laptop reboots.

This has been happening for quite a while and more often than not, happens when I move it and place it down on a table or something similar. But lately its been happening whilst I'm using it, for no particular reason.

I receive no error reports or logs. I have run the UEFI hardware test and there are apparently no issues.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

My touchscreen hasn't been working for a while and I had a lot of performance issues. I decided to reformat the computer and start from scratch. After doing that I still can't find the touchscreen driver in my device manager to enable. It's not under "hidden" either. How do I re-install it?

Yesterday my HP ENVY T screen has been flooded witha  pink color and it cycles from light to dark and back again, making it practically impossible to use. I have connectd to a TV with an HDMI Cable and that works fine. I wonder how to fix it? Any suggestions? Thanks, DougNaples

Hello i bought a notebook 2 days ago and today one of my leds in my screen failed and i now have a strip of blank white screen about 3 inches wide doen the left side of my screen, i want to know if my warranty covers this. my notebook came with the hp worldwide limited warranty, and i do not see on it where it says what that covers. if someone could answer this as soon as possible i would very much apreciate that. thank you

I bought this laptop a few days ago and I have experienced ghost touches a number of times since purchasing it. On one such occasion, the screen acted like it was being touched over and over again in the bottom left portion of the screen. Nothing could be accomplished while this was happening and I had to shut it down. On other occasions, it will only hit once but it will select something I don't want selected. For instance, if I have mulitple tabs open in a web browser, it will switch between the tabs when I haven't even done anything. It also has a habit of selecting things when I drag my finger across the screen to scroll, or it will zoom in and zoom out when I am simply scrolling on the screen, disrupting what I am working on. Does anyone know of a solution to this or do I need to submit a warranty claim? Thanks.

Considering this new revision has been out for about a couple months now, I am really surprised that no one has posted about this yet. My question is simply exactly as the title says.

 

Does the newest HP Spectre x360 13-w0XX that has the new Kaby Lake i7 support two 4k displays? I know that because of having Thunderbolt 3 ports, it has the right connections to support it. I guess the real question is can the Intel Graphics 620 support that? I know it can support one 4k display, but not seen anything about dual 4k displays. 

 

I just recently purchased this lap top, and I love it so far. However 1 of the main reasons I bought it was because it was 1 of very few lap tops on the market with Thunderbolt 3. I think the only Windows laptop that had not only 1 but 2 of them. So if this laptop has the ports to support dual 4k without a graphics card that can, then that will be incredibly disappointing.

All of a sudden, went to turn on the computer and the screen appears broken on display only. It has this big blot and crack look on bottom right. Looking at the screen without it turned on, it looks fine. It was NOT dropped. Why is this occurring. It's only 2 months old. Very disappointed. How do we get this fixed. Is this still under warranty.

I have a hp w2081d monitor attached to a security system.  It has a message to change video input 1600 x 900 60 hz.

 

How do I get to a menu to do this.

Hello!

 

The video on my display appears enlarged sometimes. It happened when I was using the Edge browser, so I switched to Chrome and it seemed to have fix the issue.

 

Then I updated my webcam to YouCam 7 and the camera is magnifying everything now, as well. I can't figure out how to fix it.

 

I updated my video driver, looked at the display settings, and ran diagnostics and I still can't fix this issue.

 

Help me?

 

edit: When I unplug my computer it goes back to normal. I plug it back it, the issue comes back.

I have a Lenevo notebook and can trun off the screen as opposed to putting it to sleep with a function button. This way it keeps working on long projects, like uploading images to the cloud while traveling. My spouse just purchased an HP x360 Convertible 11-ab051nr

 

I can find no way to turn off the scrren simply, only to put it to sleep. I am not sure the images will upload while the computer is slepping. How do you turn off the screen and leave everything else running?  Thanks

Hey there I just got this laptop 2 days ago and Im very unhappy with the performance of it. When I brought it home I started it up and began updating everything I could. Windows 10 is fully up to date, I launched the HP Support Assistant and updated everything it told me to(which includes the NVIDIA driver). After everything was updated I attempted to play World of Warcraft using the optimal settings in the NVIDIA GeForce Experience program. Keep in mind the laptop is plugged in this entire time. While in game I experience a lot of framerate issues where it spikes from 60 or 70FPS to 30 and below. I have even tried putting all the graphic settings on low(which I shouldn't have to do) and still does it. Overall Im not happy with the performance and expected a lot more out of this laptop - I mean it is advertised as a GAMING laptop and was 1200 dollars.

 

Any kind of help would be great

I have has my notebook for a couple months now. The model # is W2L53UA, the last couple of days the display has been flickering to a black screen then back to normal. Im not sure what to do. Is there anything I can do? I still hve a warranty on it.

When in any application, my screen constantly enlarges up to 275% and shrinks down to 30%. I am getting very frustrated and use my work computer instead of my hp due to this issue. I can manually turn off the mouse pad which helps but that setting does not stay. I am very careful to not touch the mouse pad, but the shrinking and enlarging still occurs. It is as if it can sense my hand in the area. I would love using the computer if it were not for this. As it is, I cannot use it. I hate the thought of spending so much money on a computer and not be able to use it.  Any suggestions?

After a recent Windows 10 update, the brightness keys on my HP Spectre 13-v011dx laptop stopped working. When this happened on my old Lenovo, it was because the update messed up this registry key:

 

HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000\FeatureTestControl

 

I changed the setting on the HP to try to fix it, but it didn't work. Now the problem is worse--when the computer wakes from sleep mode, the screen is completely dark with no backlight. I'd like to set FeatureTestControl back to its value before the Windows update, but I don't know what value to use. Could someone with the same model whose brightness keys still work please let me know their registry value?

My cat walked across my key pad and now my keys make a clicking sound when I tap one.  It also requires that I pause between double clicks on the same key(EE, or 88 for example) or it doesn't recognize the key stroke.

Hello,

 

Does anyone know if it's possible to use two 4K monitors with the HP Elitebook 840 G3 (via the Ultraslim docking station)?

 

All I can find is that maximum resolution is 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz and that 3 independent displays is supported with the HP Ultraslim Docking Station.

 

Does this mean I can run 3 monitors at 4K resolution at once?

I was resetting my laptop but unfortunately the charge got finished, since then it screen haven't displayed even though the computer is on.
