Hello!
I bought my notebook in the US, I´m in Brazil now and the display has been broken. I think I need to replace that and here the HP support says that I need to contact the support at the country that I bought the notebook because the notebooks that they sell here may be different that the ones you sell there, althougt the model is the same. So I need to know how to do that as quickly as possible because the display is damaged and I can´t see everything on the screen.

Hello

 

So basically I was in a trip for a month and before I left my computer seemed to be fine but when I came back my computer screen was all pink and fuzzy. I tried and contact Microsoft support and everything and they said it was a driver problem I try to update my driver and it says that it is up to date. Then I google my prblem and it says its a problem with the graphic card with Nvidia but my laptop doesn't have that graphic card, it has the iCore 5 from intel

Can you please tell me for sure does HP 250 G5 W4M85EA have VGA (D-Sub) port?  Because I cant find it on photos from your official site. Though it described in technical characteristics.

Recently my laptop began what was formerly happening on my HP PC Envy:

Note the bars and lines near the trash icon. It happens on all applications from MS Word to Chrome, etc.

This problem went away after a while on my PC, not yet on my laptop. I am hoping it will happen again, but am curious if there is a fix.

Hi

 

I just installed Ubuntu 16 on a HP Pavilion dv1000. Everything works well, except my webcam. I have spent countless hours searching for and installing linux drivers, but no luck. Starting to think that it may be a hardware issue? Can anyone help me try to troubleshoot this?

Has anyone found a definitive solution to 'screen rotation' failing on the Spectre x360? I am having this problem. Have read all the forum posts and made certain I have all the latest drivers and other software downloads to no avail.

 

I do not have the 'lock screen rotation' option anywhere that I am able to find. It is not present 'greyed' out our otherwise. Have been through all the 'system settings' including review all the settings using the control panel.

 

When checking with 'task manager' I do find the 'sensor' services not running. Yet even though I go ahead and start the services, there seems to be no effect on rotation and no 'screen rotation lock' option appears. Then when I reboot the services are again not running.

 

Any help greatly appreciated. As stated I have reviewed previous forum post and tried what responses I was able to find, all to no benefit.

I am sorry I have not been here a while. That is because my laptop has not had any problems and it is almost 5 years old. 

My problem is, that when I put a DVD in to watch it, nothing happens or it plays about 5 minutes then freezes. 

When I put in a CD to listen to it, it plays just fine. 

 

I played DVD's just about 4 to 6 months ago and it was fine. The only thing that I have done that makes any changes are updates. 

 

I am using Windows media player (V 12.0.7601.23517) for the DVD's and Winamp for the CD's.

After upgrading to windows 10 home x64 got many updates via HP support and video  remains blank after sleep and won't come back and must hold power switch to power off then on the machine.

Also when choosing to Shutdown the computer the power does not turn off.

Laptop starts normally when plugged in (screen fine). When power cord is disconnected, screen goes black but computer is still on. When started on battery power, screeen is black but computer starts.

 

Have tried/checked:

- power settings (monitor set to, turn off never for battery and plugged in)

- battery condition (pass)

- have done a reboot

I have bought this laptop : Laptop Spec

 

Used it for 3 days with no gaming no issues!but When i start playing any game i get this

sound ( you can clearly hear at the end ) : Hear it

 

 

i post this because i know that hp warranty and support services in my region wont help me ...

I recently notice the screen displayed weirdly when i open my laptop or reopen a minimized webpage from mozilla firefox. I don't know if the problem is from window 10 , the laptop screen display or the firefox search engine. I usually wait it out until the screen goes back to normal. I really like to fix the problem.

Hi,

 

My TrueVision Camera on HP Pavilion dv7-6b51ea does not work.

 

Previously, the camera worked fine. But my laptop had a problem (I think the graphic card was ruined). The laptop could no longer boot. I had to delete all data and then reinstall Windows 7 and HP Drivers.

 

After the re-installation, TrueVision Camera does not work. There is no Imagining Devices in Device Manager. When I launched CyberLink YouCam, it could not detect my built-in camera.

 

How can I use the camera again?

Ive acidently cracked my screen but the LCD did not brake its the glass infront of the LCD screen I was wondering what part I need to get to fix this. It is mainly cosmetic

HI, 

 

I have an hp envy laptop (m6-aq005dx) and it has a usb-c port. I wanted to display a second output monitor. I have already used my hdmi port so i thought the hp usb-c to hdmi adapter would work for my laptop since there was no software or drivers needed. Anyays, it is not working. everytime i plug in the display adapter, it says the connection may not work, try another cable. I have tried several hdmi cables, and even the adapter by itself. Is my laptop not compatible? i have also tried a few different display drivers for my laptop. When looking into the device manager, is shows up as a usb adapter but with error. I'm thinking that  my port is only meant to give output and not input. If so, what are other alternatives to output to two monitors..

My nearly new laptop has suddenly developed this problem for no obvious reason. It happens in every app ie Word, Chrome, Edge, Whatsapp etc (which suggests to me there is a keyboard configuration issue?) - every time I use either of the Shift keys to capitalize or use !?@ and so on, a small 'edit box' opens top right of the screen containing that letter, and a number (5 of 15 for example). I cannot type again till I close that box. At the same time, every same letter in the doc or on the page, is highlightedin yellow, and my cursor goes to the closest of these. As you can imagine, it is impossible to type!

 

So far, I have done a restore point, back to a date before the issue. And I have been into keyboard settings and unchecked Sticky Keys.

A couple of weeks ago I turned on my laptop to see all the black in all the pictures and items on the screen replaced with either blue or alternating blue and black lines.  but then it returned to normal now its all the time.  it reminds me of windows 3.1 color sceme.  Any ideas as to if this is a setting issue or a hardware issue?

Hi, 

 

I am having isssues in changing the brightness level for my laptop. 

 

Brightness option is greyed out from the system try battery icon. 

 

Brightness is always staying at 100%

 

f2 and f3 short keys do not work, tried it with fn+f2 and fn+f3 and that does not work

 

Tried re-installing and updating the intel hd 4000 graphic driver and that has not helped

 

Please help as i have tried several options and no joy

I bought a brand new HP Envy 17t it has a 17.3" FHD screen. The screen quality is very bad you can see very light double verical lines every quarter of an inch throughout the screen it is especially obvious when the screen it white/light. I wasn't sure if it was a defect or not so I went to best buy to see the Envy on display there it had the same issue. Is this a typical problem with the new Hp screens or that's how they come? the sales guy at bestbuy wasn't sure if it was a defect or not.
