I am using a hp elitebook 8460p intel core i5 runing on a windows 7 ultimate (64 bit), intel HD graphic 3000, with a 4gb RAM and a 500gb hard disk... but i cant play graphical games on it.... was checking and realised the Dedicated Video Ram was showing 64mb which is just not right since the Total Available Graphic Memory is 1696mb, the System video memory 0mb and the Shared System Memory is 1632mb.
please help adviceon how to boost or increase this.

I have the classic problem with the notebook, i dont know how to set as default my nvidia processor, ive tried everything, in nvidia control panel, in bios, please if anybody knows how to solve this problem answer me.
And this fact i think it might incapacitated my intel processor to be used.

after upgrade win 10 untill oct-2016 there is no problem after that i cant find imaging device in the list of device manager.even when i choose show hidden device. it is not listed. what i need to do. any one can help me.

Yesterday I reinstalled Windows 7 on my notebook PC. I had to use a Microsoft installation disk because unfortunately, serious errors resulted after I installed from the HP recovery program. Consequently the HP drivers that were installed automatically with the recovery program weren't installed on my system. I had to install several of them from the HP support site.
I got everything to work except for the Touch volume control, or the Volume Scroll Zone as referred to by HP in the service guide. This is the device located just above the keyboard that increases or decreases speaker volume when you drag you finger on it. I installed the Quick Launch button driver but that only applied to the mouse and pointer touchpad. I looked at the devices listed in my startup configuration. I saw the synaptics pointing device and the HP quick launch buttons listed. So is the IDT PC audio driver.
What am I missing? Where I can I find it to activate the touch volume control?
I turned on my 2 in 1 and the screen had a bunch of lines going through it, but I could see my log in screen in the background. Now I turn it on and it's just the verticle lines. Can I purchase just the screen?
I restarted my PC yesterday and it went to the Black loading screen with the white dots and stayed there. After getting into safe mode and disabling the AMD Radeon HD 8650G drivers I was able to log in again
Worked with Microsoft and was given conflicting stories or the drivers were out of date, which I updated them to the same results. To the drivers are the issue and need to contact HP.
Anyone have suggestions on this?

I purchased a HP Pavillion 14-n229TX more than 2 years ago. Everything is going OK until one day the touch screen stop working. Then the day after it worked again and then stop working until now. I think this problem is caused by a software problem. So I refresh windows 10 with the tool from Microsoft, it does not help. The next step, I created a media boot USB and format the windows partition and start a brand-new windows 10. Magically, it worked, I have my touch screen back in a few first setup steps of windows 10, the whole touch screen was working fine... until I finish all these steps. My touch screen was gone... again. I have tried every solution on web that I found include:
- reenable, reinstall HID touch screen driver in Device management
- update driver through AMD, HP Support Assisstant
- I event clean the sreen with no hope
Now I don't know what to do next to get my touch feature back again.
Experts please help me.

I have a new hp notebook with windows 10 (64-bit) with 6-gb of memory. Upon start up I get a message stating that there is a new software update is avalible. When I click the message, AMD RADEON setings comes up. curently installed is 16.101.1311.1001-160308a-300326c-HP / new is 16.40.2311-16091a(WHQL) It downloads fine but about a minute into the install the screen starts to flicker and then goes blank and doesen't come back.I then had to do a force shut down. When I rebooted, the startup logo came up but the log-in screen never did. I had no display at all. I did another force shut down and restarted in restore mode and restored it to a previous date which brought back the display and the update message upon every startup. PLEASE HELP. Randomly shut down the laptop screen! It helps to restart or lowering and lifting the lid. What could be the problem?
Just picked up my laptop, got it out of hibernate and the screen was flickering with horizontal lines. See the 2 movies i linked to.

After a reboot the screen was fine, but a 1 month old laptop should now show this kind of faults.

Yesterday I tried to play Star Trek Beyond on my HP PAVILION Dv7-3065dx and it went through the menu screen fine, and then I pressed play, it went all green, played for a second and then I got the Windows 10 BSOD.
I am using Leawo Basic Bluray emulator for just playback of Bluray and DVD
I have been able to run Interstellar, Battlestar Galactica (2003 Series), and Howls Moving Castle (DVD) and they all run perfectly. The issue according to my minidump was a failure with my graphics card. It was three drivers, so it may have been my graphics card could not play the Bluray, or it was overheating since I had been doing some work (Windows Movie Maker).
The Drivers that failed all were related to my graphics Card. Also here are my computer specs

I have no idea why one bluray would not work, I think it might be the bluray is to new for me to run. My computer is from 2012, and was among the last Dv7 in the Pavilion Line to be released.
I had a Hp Slate 10 HD which i had a problem with the screen (Calibrator) which the tablet falls and the calibrator got broken. I am looking for the Screen (Calibrator) to replace. I need your assistance to fix back my tablet pls.
I recently bought a laptop HP Envy with Windows 10 preinstalled.
The graphic card has many problems, the display is very bad, the screen is always filled with stray pixels when resizing a window or when moving from one window to another (i try to join 1 screen capture below) . It's difficult to work correctly with this problem. I don't need a super power graphic rendering, just a good rendering for web pages.
By the past, on my previous HP laptop, i used to update drivers directly through Intel web site download facilities.
But today i lost many time with this problem with no solution at the end, so i'm not really happy, because it seems very complicated or impossible to change the HP customized graphic driver on windows 10
So i have some questions :
- Why did HP decide to customize the drivers ? Is it really necessary or is it just a way for HP to induce people to use your own download utilities ? I hope HP has good reasons, and i'm pretty curious to know them.
- Why is it impossible for me to use another graphic driver, as for example the last stable Intel original driver, under my own responsibility ? Is this a new fantastic Windows 10 feature ?
- When will you make available for download a more recent customized graphic driver for Windows 10 ?

I have been having bsod atikmpdag.sys when using the amd graphics card. I have recently recovered my windows 7 professional and now my laptop restarts automatically withoud a bsod when using the amd card.
