Split X2 HDMI port non functional
The HDMI port on my laptop has stopped working. All drivers are up to date, have tried diffenent combinations of cables and screens and each work fine with other computers. I have seen that there are others who have had similar issues with other spit x2 models but have not seen a soloution. Does any one have any advice?

dv6910el gddr2 and gpu questions

its me again and I have 2 questions for the HP tech.
question 1:
I have look on the internet to finde my gddr2 ram and see on the hynix web site that my instaled ram is a 32mx4 x4banks (512mb ram) and the hp manual for my pc is written that I have 16mx4 x4banks (256mb ram). ok its fine, I want to thanks HP for instaling this ram BUT whay not make it run to the full power?
qustion 2:
I have open my notebook and found that my gpu (8400m gs 256mb ram) is not my listet one.
I have found a g86-730-a2 gpu (8600m gs) and whay is not on the max as well seeing that my pc have the 512mb video ram to back it up for the real live use.
I am sorry for my english and wainting for the HP tech to respond.

yahoo screen expanded
using yahoo email typing and inadvertenly hit a key or keys enlarging the whole yahoo site.
causing me to use the vertical & horizontal arrows to see all the information.
tried using the, "small setting" but had no effect.
using google chrome browser to access
also have mozilla firefox browser now to access yahoo email and it is standard size screen
prefer the google chrome for use and ease of access.
can the screen be returned to original screen size???

Notebook reboots randomly while playing games
My notebook randomly reboots when playing games.
I do not get a blue screen, my notebook screen just goes black and the HP omen logo pops up, just like when i would start up my notebook.
I own this notebook for about two months now. The first month i never encountered an issue when playing games.
Suddenly, my pc started randomly rebooting the way i described above while playing CS:GO, while playing other games i did not encounter the issue (tho the other games were not nearly as demanding for graphics as CS:GO. The first week i didn't really mind it since it happened like once every two hours. But a week later, it started to occur about every 10 minutes while playing the game. I quit playing CS:GO because of this problem, but the problem also started to occur while playing another game (Saints Row IV in this case). I was thinking the problem might be caused by overheating of my gpu so i elevated the notebook a bit so the fans could get a better airflow. The problem still persisted however. I have also updated my BIOS, updated the driver for my NVIDIA 960M GPU, but the problem still persisted.
I tried to get a blue screen error so i could search the error code i recieve when the pc crashes. But the way my pc crashes is not a bluescreen, the screen just goes black, fans stop spinning and the pc boots up again.
Im pretty sure the problem is caused by my GPU since my pc never crashed besides when i was gaming.

brightness is not working
my laptop's brightness is not working and why i can not download apps frome store.

cursor freezes and only goes vertically up and down, zoom icon erratically zooms upon touch
2 issues:
1. Within 3-5 mins of accessing my laptop to do anything, my touchpad cursor freezes into a horizontal only response mode. The arrow becomes a 4-pointed STAR and a small vertical rectangle icon related to zoom function changes the zoom %tages without actually being prompted.
2. The clock/date function doesn't work. Reset several times, no fix. Replaced 3vdc battery on MB, still no fix.
I re-entered all drivers, and have updated all available Windows 7 updates. But I'm still handicapped, within minutes of operating start, and rebooting unlocks the cursor, but again, within minutes, it freezes again. I'm surprised that in the time that it takes to type this, it hasn't occured.
I am using Internet Explorer. I am wondering what might be the problem. I don't know if this problem is only in Google Chrome operation.

HP ENVY X360 compatibility with Active Pen/Stylus
I have the ENVY x360 model m6-aq103dx. I bought it because I was told it is compatible with the HP active PEN. I bought the pen and tried it, it didn't work. I called HP for the TENTH time to ask about the compatibility and set up. I was told the active STYLUS would work, so I bought the stylus. It doesn't work either.
The packages list which computers the pen and stylus are compatible with; none of which list the ENVY x360. I would understand if the HP "techs" had told me that my computer is not compatible but instead they say "it may be if it has the right digitizers/driver/capability/etc."
So do I need a different computer or is there a way to make this one communicate with either of the writing tools I have bought??

HP Spectre x360 Convertible problem in screen
Hey,
I have a HP Spectre x360 Convertible Windows 10 Home 64-bit and i bought it few months ago (8/2016). Screen problem occured during the past few weeks. The texts get covered by black boxes, but they dissapear once you move the cursour on them and when you change from program to another the screen "flickers" (picture below). I don't knwo the reason. Few weeks ago my computer had a major update. could it be the reason?

p.s. I'm not sure if this is connected to the previous but earlier when i turned the compute on boot manager came on with options of "OS boot manager (UEFI)" and "Boot from EFI File".
I chose the first one based on what i read about them. Should I be worried? :/

Windows 10 upgrade - Docking station and multiple monitor issues
I recently upgraded to Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit and I'm having trouble connecting to 3 via the HP 120 W advanced docking station. I was able to do this in the past without issues when I was running Windows 7. I'm on a ZBook 15 (1st Gen)
I know the laptop has 2 display adaptors: NVIDIA Quadro K2100M, and Intel HD Graphics 4600. When connected to the docking station, I usually ran 2 monitors through the NVIDAI via Display Ports, and the 3rd through the Intel adapter via VGA.
Now, after upgrading to Win 10. If I boot the laptop in the dock, it says there is an issue with the Intel graphics adapter, so I'm only able to use the NVDIA and therefor only 2 screens. I've tried updating/reinstalling drivers for both adapters but nothing seems to work. Tried versions from NVIDIA, Intel, and from HP Directly.
Whats funny is that if I boot up the laptop BEFORE I connect it to the docking station, everything works fine. Once I dock it all three monitors will come up and work just fine. So I do have a workaround, but it is a little inconvenient 
Any Ideas what the issue could be, maybe I have something misconfigured in the BIOS? I think I tried changing a few settings related to hybrid displays, but no luck...

webcam upgrade?
Hello Folks! I am always delighted to come to HP support forums. I hope there is someone among you that may be able to help me with my most current issue.
Okay to start I purchased my Probook 6550b (base model-vz245av) from a gentelman whom picked it up at auction from a local Community College after migration.
It had:
1st gen m 450 i5 processor - I replaced with m 620 i7
4 gig RAM - relpaced with 8 gig
250 Gig HDD - replaced /w 1 terabyte SSD
I also did a few otherthings like new display; keyboard and cooling fan . . . . just cause I wanted to.
I currently run a duel boot win 7 and 10.
My problem is the webcam. It is not too impressive and will only be seen in win 7. win 10 is a no show.
So my question is is it possible to find a web cam from a newer HP product like 2nd Gen Elitebook and replace the current one? I would greatly appreciate any help on this matter.

Screen goes black in middle of use
Super strange problem with my HP laptop, model M1V66UA#ABA. While in the middle of using my computer the screen goes black only when I'm running on the battery and not AC Power. The computer is still on and I can hear the fan but screen remains black and won't respond until I do a Hard Shutdown and Reboot. I have run all of the HP diagnostics but no issue was detected. It is not related to computer going to sleep or hibernating or due to inactivity or screen saver. The problem occurs while I'm actively using my laptop and I could be in the middle of browsing the internet or typing an email and I lose all my unsaved work.. It is VERY IRRITATING and I'm having to use my laptop connected to AC power all the time which defeats the purpose of having a laptop instead of desktop.
