Laptop won't enter sleep when I close lid
Hello everyone,
I have an HP Envy 17t-n100 and I've been having an issue with my laptop entering sleep when I close the lid. I've checked the power and advanced power options to see what actions will take place once the lid is closed on multiple occasions but there has been no change whenever I check. Sleep mode after a set amount of time is working just fine. I'm not sure when this problem started but I believe it began around 4 months ago. Also when I close the lid, I've noticed that the screen is still on so could the problem be the mechanism that tells the laptop that the lid is closed? If that's it where is this located?

Lost my Touchscreen
I have no Touchscreen listed in Human Interface Devices, so I cannot enable, update or download drivers.
According to windows 10 everything is up to date. I tried Hardware troubleshooting. Ive checked for updates. Ive looked for ghost drivers.
Im now going a little mad. Please help me. I miss my touchscreen.

Touchscreen going crazy
HP ENVY All-in-One - 27-p014 OS
the touchscreen began clicking repeatedly at the top of screen. cant do anything until disabling the touchscreen so we can actually operate the computer. warranty ran out sunday so wondering if it could be a harware issue, i factory reseted it and it began doing it right away.

Hdmi no sound
I have a hp elitebook 8440p sj990up windows 7 professional 64 bit and it is no longer sending sound through the hdmi to tv connection. When I first used the cord a week ago it worked but now it isn't. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the nvidia hdmi drivers from the hp sight as well as the nvidia sight. I've tried updating the bios as well. For whatever reason my tv doesn't even show in my playback devices even though it once did. I've tried looking under disable and disconnected devices as well. I was wondering if you might be able to lead me in the right direction as to how to resolve this problem

Unable to change brightness after installing Windows 10
I am unable to change the brightness of my screen. I have tried changing it in the Control Panel under power options and the F2 and F3 keys.
I have tried the follow steps to troubleshoot this.
- Updated my display adapters (AMD Radeon HD 7800M Series and Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000).
- Uninstalled and installed the Generic PnP Monitor (there was an issue with windows 10 and teamviewer).
- Rolled back my display adapters.
- Updated one and rolled back the other and vice versa.
- Disabled the Generic PnP Monitor.
I have no idea what to try at this point. Anybody have any ideas?

Laptop Not Displaying anything despite being on
My laptop is not displaying anything when i power it on. I can see all the LEDs on, but screen remains blank. I even tried to connect to an external monitor, but to no avail. I am seeking help on this from this forum.

Chromebook screen issues
I purchased a chromebook last week and sometimes when I am using it the screen goes black for a couple of seconds, then continues as normal. As far as I can tell this is nothing I am pressing, is this a fault with the machine itself? how do I fix this?

I've had my chromebook for 5 months now and the keys 8 i k and , are not working correctly. I have tried a powerwash and a factory reset and i still have the problem. I do still have my warrenty for about 7 more months. Please help.

Replacing the glass on a Spectre x360 4000
Hey everyone,
I found HP's video for removing and replacing the entire lid of the notebook, but I was wondering if there was a way to replace the glass itself. My glass is cracked, but there appears to be no actual damage to the LED backing and lid.
I haven't been able to find a glass replacement video or demonstration for this model, which is a good bit different from the Envy 360s.
Anyone have advice?

Problem with touchscreen
Hi. My computer has a problem on the touchscreen. The comands on the screen are being frequently activated even if I didn't touch the screen.
I used the app HP Support Assistant to open a case to solve the problem (I already a case number). As I am living in Brazil, it gave me a phone number from HP assistant in São Paulo, BR. I called them but they told me they are not supposed to fix it, once the computer was bought in Canada. The only thing they did was to update the touchscreen software, but after that the problem got even worst, the comands are even more frequent now.
My warranty is still valid until 07/26/2018. This problem is preventing me to use the computer, once it keeps opening other programs, windows (...) without my comand. So I can't even use it to work.

Black splodge on Monitor
These black splodges have recently appeared on my monitor and I am not sure if they are dead pixels or something else. Does anyone know what they are if there is any way to make them go away?

I received a new HP Spectre x360 13-w030ca today. I need a stylus solution and there are conflicting posts about which stylus if any will work for this device. I am not going to be drawing. I need an input device for notes and for digital signatures on forms. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Screen brightnesss
Hi, I have an hp laptop, windows 7 proffessional.
I cannot adjust screen brightness. The slider is not there, there is no monitor icon under device manager and I cannot seem to find it when changing the power settings.
Does anyone have any ideas??
