Two weeks ago I bought an HP Spectrex360. Two days after buying it while using the keyboard, not the touchscreen, it began to touch the touchscreen by it selft only on a part of the screen followed continuously.This happend alot while i was using the laptop so I went to the place of purchase and I changed it with for one of the same model. But this new one also it has the same fault, any recomendations of what should i do?
I have owned 3 of these computers. All purchased from best buy. Every single one has had this problem and i returned the last 2. This isn't a small problem either, I've found multiple cases of this online. It seems to happen to the bestbuy laptops the most. I tried contacting hp support on the computer but they were no help and when they called me I couldn't understand a word of what he was saying.
Great laptop, horrible screen.
Has anyone found a fix for this or has hp recalled these laptops? I have all of my school work on my laptop so I cant really just let it go.

I just bought a new Pavilion x2 12" 2 in 1 (pv12B020nr).
I can't find why the screen is not rotating. There is no autorotate option in menu wherever I look for.
I completely reset the laptop twice, checked the forums.. What can I do?
-on the right side menu there is no such icon
-in display settings I have all options like Resolution and stuff- but no AutoRotate option
-In advanced settings nothing
if i disconnect the screen- no reaction to rotating or shaking.. always a landscape
(in options I can switch to other position but only on comand- no AutoRotate)
PLS HELP.

So I noticed this little line hardly visible at all on my computer screen. It looks like somebody took the pencil tool from wndows paint and drew a little spec on the screen. I thought it would go away after restarting but Its been a couple weeks now and its 3 times the size, still not big but its a little black line about the size of your pinky finger nail. Again it looks like a line drawn by windows paint or something . Like this _____ maybe a tiny little bit blacker but thats pretty much exsactly what it looks like and you get the point. Its not a spot or circle, it a line, looks like a glitch which is why i thought it would go away. Anyway, anyone know what is causing this? how to make it go away? Nothing happened to my comp as im the only one who uses it. I just turned it on one day and it started growing.

I don't know what you mean what is running in my start up.
The black line is in windows all the time! it doesn't leave and i tried taking a screen shot but it doesn't seem to pick up the line, i don't know why. I would have to take a pic with a camera and put it on my comp but i don't know how to make it so that you can see the pic on the internet.
It looks exsactly like this ____ but a tiny bit blacker and a tiny bit thicker in the middle...
What should I do.....?
I have had 2 of these tablets a 12-b100na (W8A14E#ABU) direct from HP and T1E48EA#ABU from Ebuyer.
Both have the exact same issue with that within 10-15mm of the edge of the display the pen dot jitters or jumps about. If you attempt to draw a straight line within the 10-15mm it jumps around. NB if you use a finger to draw a line it is fine.
The laptop from HP was sent back within 4 hours or receiving as the support were not interested. I purchased a new one from Ebuyer and they have just raised an RMA to return.
This issue occurs straight out of the box just logged in.
I have :
1) All MS updates
2) MS Anniversary update - so have more pen options
3) All HP updates via HP Assistant
4) Tried a new battery in the stylus ( of the T1E48EA) model
5) Searcher both the web and HP forums, without luck
6) Spent 4 hours with HP Support remote accessing and suggesting I need a new stylus and are kindly sending one.
I cannot be so unlucky to receive 2 slightly different spec laptops from 2 suppliers and have the same issue.
That there is nothing on the web is also slightly incredible.
I have even visited PC World and spoke to a Microsoft staff member and he had no suggestions following what i have attempted. He has suggested buying a Surface! and unless someone sorts the issue I believe he has a the best option.
PS : HP if you read this please can you advise where I send my invoice for the lost 8 hours of work to investigate this issue.
My suggestion if you are reading this, is do not buy one as you will be disappointed.
I'm using an HP Spectre x360, with Windows 8.1 (factory installed). I have the most up-to-date Synaptics touchpad drivers, as obtained from the HP website under my computer model number.
The problem is when trying to use the Synaptics 3-finger swipe in Internet Explorer 11. It does not work reliably. Sometimes I'll have to swipe multiple times before the swipe will register and the browser will navigate backward or forward accordingly. It seems as if there's some sort of focus problem, like an initial swipe or two creates the proper focus, and then a final swipe finally causes the appropriate navigation. The behavior will change depending on the website. For very simple sites, sometimes a single swipe will suffice, but with more complex sites, the problems tends to surface.
Can this be fixed with the Synaptics drivers, with a registry edit, or with some other hack?
Screen on a new 2-in-1 laptop for my daughter suddenly starts changing randomly and rapidly with no input fron the keyboard on touchpad or toucj screen.

I ust opened my laptop to find a cracked screen. I have no idea what happened. The touch is working on only the side of my screen above the crack. What can I do to fix it and how much would that cost?

I installed Windows 7 x64 on HP 15-ay000ur and got the problem only with two drivers: Radeon R5 M430 and Intel HD Graphics.
I downloaded latest Intel HD Graphics driver from HP website and it worked correct. After that I downloaded AMD driver autodetection software from their officical website, which downloaded and installed driver for AMD graphics and Crimson software. After notebook reset, Aero turned off and both graphic devices (Intel and AMD) became marked with yellow mark and worked improperly. AMD software gave a message "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning proprely". The same time device manager shown that Radeon R5 M330 instead of R5 M430 installed.
I've only had my HP Envy laptop for a little over a year. I got it for school, and one of the big things I was happy about was the built-in webcam (that my previous laptop did not have) which meant I could skype with my parents several thousand miles away.
However, said webcam has stopped working. I had a few bits of trouble with it in the past doing this same thing, but each time it has managed to fix itself the enxt time I tried to use it. I've tried youcam as well, to see if it was an issue with skype, but sure enough that did not work either.
Whenever i try to use it, it tells me the webcam is being used by another application. I even went into settigns and disabled the webcam to everything except what I wanted it for, nothing. I closed all other programs that even might have been interfereing. Nothing.
A few weeks ago, it was working but it was doing weird things. The colors kept getting distorted in multiple different ways. Sometimes it would look like I was in a really brightly lit room. Other times it would look like I had very little light at all. The colors kept changing as well, where sometimes everything would look very orange, another time very purple, etc. And sometimes it would "flash" between the distortions, but sometimes it would pick a distortion and stay on that one for 10-20 mins. at first we thoguht it might just be the lighting, since it was only my end doing it, but after playing with all the lights in my room to see if they had any effect, we determined that it was not the cause. After that time, it has not worked at all.
I have gone into the device manager, and i have HP Truevision HD listed under my imaging devices. It is the only one there, and it says everything is up to date and it is working properly. I've honestly been having these problems since I got my computer, but each time it has been a one time deal and was working again the next day. This is not the case this time.
Any help is appreciated! This is the only way i get to "see" my parents and vice versa, and with the holidays coming up it would be nice to have this working...
i dont know why but i am not able to change (increase or decrease) brightness of my laptop.
function keys for brightness are not working and also i am not finding brighness options in power options.

At randon times the cursor starts clicking and flickering on the same spot on the screen and I cannot get control either with the mouse or touchpad. I need to restart/standby to to remove this annoyance.
Examples 1 - when i've locked the screen and wish to log back in, i cannot enter the password because the cursor keeps clicking out of the password box.
Example 2 - while using MS Excel the cursor keeps clicking into a single cell and I cannot move to a new cell.
Any advice?
