i have bought this gaming notebook to play in easy way some fps game ( Unreal Tournament )
well...the integrated keyboard stops working for some seconds in random way !!
This trouble is bypassed playng with an usb keyboard, not comfortable, i'm very disappointed for the absolute absence of assistance, seems that there aren't solutions.
What a gaming notebook...shame.

I have trouble with my HP Pavilion x2. (windows 10) I have it for 3-4 months. Everything was fine but yesterday I wanted to turn it on but display didn't work. It was working that day but then when I tried to turn it on for second time display suddenly stop working. It's still black I can't see logo or cursor, anything just black screen. But when I connect the charger that little light start shining so the laptop isn't completly dead and also light on keyboard (volume) was shining for a while. So maybe something with graphic card or? Any advice what should I do please?

Hi so when i made the update from 8.1 to 10 my brightness options ceased to work.

I have a 2 and a half years old HP Spectre ultrabook,already out of warranty. It seems HP don't sell this model anymore and it's a bit hard to find a more detailed info about it so here is my question.
There is a crack on the screen which doesn't affect the LCD screen (it's still annoying). The touchsreen itself doesn't work - I don't care much about this, I barely used it anyway.
From what I've read the outermost glass/touchsreen is a separate part and the LCD screen is another thing below it. So the question is: is it possible to replace ONLY the touchscreen/glass while keep the existing LCD screen?
I saw a full LCD screen+Touchsreen/Digitizer set for sale but it's too expensive although I believe HP recommend to replace the full combo set. Are the 2 parts glued making it actually impossible to assemble separately? Or attached somehow so that you can take the glass/touchcreen part out?
I checked some retailers who sell both LCD screens only and digitizers/touchscreens only which means what I want to do might be possible but who knows... They do it for iphone screens too and they are glued.

since i got my computer the graphics card gives a error message that pops up saying it failed but recovered. i did some research and added a timer in the config and the problem became less frequent.
now i have sometimes the lid opens and the display doesnt come back and i also have the display flicker and become pixelated. it's not a flicker of on and off it's a flicker of display not outputing correctly then outputing correctly.
any suggestions besides sending for warranty?
My dad has an Envy (no clue what the model number/product number is...all I know is it has a 17 inch screen, beats audio, and control zone. I believe it has 12GB of memory and 1 TB of HDD). Anyway, he was browsing the internet when he says all of a sudden, his screen went completely white. He forced the computer to shut down, and upon restarting the computer, it remained white. I had him attempt the "Ctrl+Alt+Esc" solution, with no progress. I had him attempt to start the computer in Safe Mode, again, no progress. I also had him hook his computer up to an external display (his tv), and still, nothing showed but white. I would like to know if there's something else we can do to fix this, or if this white screen means his computer is shot. Please advise. Thank you!
so my screen is registering a counstant touch feedback on the right center on the screen. i dont use this laptop as a tablet, and i never will. its only used as a laptop for me. ive searched high and low in the settings, but i cant find any way to completely deactivate touch feedback on the screen. i know it isnt the touchpad because i see the gray circle on the screen that would betray screen touches. how do i deactivate the touch screen?
When i open my laptop HP Spectre x2, the cursor disappears on screen. How would i fix it? Any help please.

I bought my HP Probook 450 G3 notebook 2 days ago with free dos system. Reinstall with Windows Pro 7 x64 and now I have a problem with brightness fn keys. Fn+ f5 and f6 dosn't work.
I try to delete and install Intel video driver again. Try to reinstall Synaptic keyboard and mouse driver. I also try to do all steps shown on this article: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Probook-450-fn-brightness-not-working/td-p/4514850
Nevertheless the volume keys fn+f9 and f10 are working.
Any solutions, any help please?
HDMI port seems to have stopped working. I usually connect to HP Pavilion 23xi screen but my HP Envy does not now detect it. Tried HP Envy on other screens and it does not detect them either. No idea why it stopped working. Not a computer buff so need simple solution ideally!
hi there this has been happening all week so here go's,soon as i power up the notebook it boots up for 15-20 seconds then the screen goes blank however if i unplug the power cord the screen comes on but soon as i plug the cord back in it still goes blank screen again but if i force a shutdown then everything works again but this happens everytime i unplug the ac adapter to go out with it and the ac adapter is working fine so i think its a internal problem in the notebook,the notebook is still under warranty, any help on this would mean alot thanks

I have a home office with 2 samsung curved 27" monitors that I am using with a Lenovo work computer thinpad X1. I using the Lenovo USB 3.0 Ultra Dock docking station that is supposed to be universal (can use with any laptop). However my HP envy x360 can not seem to recognize the monitors when i connect. I download & instaled the Lenovo docking station driver still can't detect the monitors from my HP latpop. any help appreciated.

I have a HP ZBook 15u G3 Mobile Workstation with the ultra slim 2013 docking station with (2) HP E232 monitors and a Samsung Tv hooked up.
When i had my Zbook 15 G2 hooked up to the larger docking station that includes the CD rom i would have presentations up on the TV for others in the room to view. My setup then was duplicate dekstop on one Monitor and the Samsung TV so that i could look at my monitor while others in the room would view the large TV on the wall while leaving the other HP monitor in the extend desktop mode. In short Duplicate desktop on 1 & 3 and extend desktop on 2. I had one monitor hooked up thru VGA, the other monitor hooked up with Display port to VGA adapter and the TV hooked up with display port to HDMI adapter.
With the new setup i have 1 HP monitor hooked up via DP, the 2nd monitor on the VGA port and the TV on a DP to HDMI adapter all hooked into the docking station. When i try to Duplicate on 1&3 and extend to 2 it tells me "unable to save display settings" and no matter what configuration i do with the cables it still doesnt work.
Any suggestions?
Hello, I'm having a problem where my laptop will randomly shut off and then turn back on seconds later. Back then it only happened once every few weeks but now it's starting to happen every few hours. I've tried resetting the laptop but the issue is still there. If there is any solution, I will be grateful.

The touchscreen when touched show depressions 2 to 4 of them about 3 inches to the right sometimes up some times down.
I've replaced the digitizer glass, digitizer logic board & cable. Is this a mainboard issue?

i'd need to know which panels are compatible with my laptop,and im not quite sure which one i have now.
i only know its sva,fhd that's it,and its probably a cheap chinmei panel
Screen goes dark, not pitch black like it's all the way off, just dark with a backlight glow to it. Pressing keys will not bring it back, but whatever I was working on will be affected by keystrokes, so the computer still functions. The display simply does not show until I restart. (meaning, I can do things on the computer, but I can't see what's going on)
My power and display settings are set to "never turn off" (yes, on everything)
As an experiment, I set the computer and display to "sleep with I close the lid". The next time the display went dark, I closed the lid, then reopened. The screen was still dark, but pressing the spacebar DID recover the screen. My programs were still waiting for me exactly where I left off typing.
I have contacted technical support twice. We have double checked the sleep and power settings. We have updated the BIOS. We have updated the GPU drivers.
Now they are telling me to completely recover Win10 (lose all data), because they don't know what to do.
I doubt this will fix the problem, so I am looking for ideas. I thought it might be a heating issue, but the temps look normal and I run the laptop on a hard surface to keep the vents open.
New laptop under warranty. Purchased July 31, 2016. Problem existed from the beginning.
anyone willing to help me tackle this issue before I chuck it back to HP as a lemon?
This should not be happening on a brand new laptop.
