I recently bought an HP laptop with a click pad.  I am struggling to do things that I could do easily on a touchpad or mouse.  I'm sure this new mouse variant has the same functionality that we all need but there doesn't seem to be any instructions or guidance anywhere. 

 

My current issue is I want to highlight and delete a large area of a Word doument.  Normally I'd left click the mouse and hold and drag over the area to highlight but I cannot find any way of doing this using a click pad.  I've even tried the Excel trick of hitting F8 then moving the mouse but that drops the anchor point after a moment so fails.

 

Can anybody help?

Please can someone point me towards how i get my USB port working on my HP PAVILION X2 10 N055NA.

 

the port does not recognise  anything plugged into it

 

when i run a check it gives a failure ID

System: ZBook 17 - i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40 GHz.  64 bit. 24 GIG RAM. Using a second screen monitor from the display port.

 

During editing on Premiere (Creative Cloud, latest version), the edit screen will go completely black. I can get out of the program and open it again - the screen will be back and none of the edits lost. But it tends to happen often.

 

I have tried it with Premiere's  Mercury Acceleration (CUDA) on as well as off. Same problem. I am guessing it is a memory problem.

 

Performed internal memory test on the ZBook and all tests report all of the memory is availble and working properly.

 

Have updated video drivers for the graphics cards.

 

Also have Sony Vegas Pro 13 on the machine. It does crash sometimes on larger projects. I turned hardware acceleration off on that one which helped performance considerably.

 

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing the screen to go black? Perhaps a setting in Premiere or on the ZBook?

am using hp pavilion g6-1157se laptop .there two graphic on this board one is intel family and radeon. while using photoshop and premior pro there is an issue graphics not support all software are detecting by intel .

Hi

 

My laptop is a hp notebook with windows 7. When I try to use my webcam it says that it cannot be detected, yet in the device manager it shows that the device is working properly. I have done everything I can. I have followed all instructions about downloading youcam software making sure my drivers are up to date but it still won't work. Please help because this is getting really frustrating.

My screen goes black when I move the screen it wasn't bad just untill recently and it's gotten bad real bad.
What would cause this

The screen flickers for 10-30 sec to 5-10 mins. I saw a post which is the same issue for the 840 G3 laptops that was marked fixed by HP while it is clearly still a huge problem. Please fix this issue since we bought a huge number of these laptops and we are ready to return them if this issue is not fixed.

I have a user who is experencing an issue with their desktop icons moving to the left when docking their laptop.  This has only started recently, and I have tried everything I can think of to fix the issue aside from installing a 3rd party app.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Occasionally, the screen gets erratic.  Opens and closes windows and programs.  Resizes windows and text.  If I close all open windows, there are little white 'bubbles' in the bottom center of the screen that move up and down as if the screen is being touched.

This has been a problem since I purchased the laptop, but I haven't been able to find a solution.

I seldom use the touch screen anymore because of this.  And I try to avoid the touch pad also.   But even when using a mouse, the problem occurs.    It's very random and I cannot reproduce the problem.

Auto HP updates are on and all software and drivers should be current.

Internet connection is wireless.

Purchased laptop in Aug 2015 with Windows 10 pre- installed.   All Win10 updates are current.

I've searched HP Support but cannot find this problem mentioned.

I have HP ENVY x360 - 15-u483cl which worked perfectly for 7 months, till i got a windows 10 anniversary update. It caused my computer to give BSOD with "system service exception igdkmd64.sys" error after every 2 days. I have latest version of the driver (Intel High-Definition Graphics Driver, 20.19.15.4360 Rev.B). I tried every possible solution available on internet to solve the problem but in vain. Finally i had to disable the intel driver and put the notebook on Microsoft’s generic driver which ended the BSOD. Now i have to live with poor graphics. Probably the only solution is if HP launches a newer version of driver that doesn’t conflict with windows 10 anniversary update. Or is there any other solution?

So I have a KQ246AA Deluxe Webcam that no longer works on Windows 10! So my options are: throw webcam into the garbage can and short HP stock? What a POS company HP turn out to be. 25 years ago when I moved to San Francisco HP inspired respect, lol/sad...

My computers touch screen is no longer working after updating. It previously worked but seems to have stopped. I haven't found any solutions yet for this. The screen itself is fine though.

I just got a new laptop and I download game league of legends and the graphic is so bad, everything is blurry, any other software is getting blurry too.

I got 6th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-6560U Processor Dual-Core + Intel® Iris™ Graphics 540 (For 8GB memory).

The HP support told me to download the Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver to fix the problem but when I install I have this issue "the computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements"

I have a touchscreen HP Pavilion 17. The cursor seems to move around on its own and select random thngs. Even if i use a mouse to click on a file, it will authomatically select and open another file or folder.  If I am moving the cursor across the screen, it tends to select everyhting I pass over!  Any ideas about how to fix this would be appreciated.

 

Another question is how do i ubdate my hp drivers?

Hi

 

I have just received my HP Spectre 360x and when I try installing programs, I either get a square the size of a postage stamp, or the box cuts in half and can't be resized to get to the relevant boxes to accept licences and put serial codes in, thereby making it impossible to install my programs.  Also, in Live Mail, all the e-mail headers are cut in half too.  Please can anyone help a new HP user?

i opened my laptop and started using it and all of a sudden all kinds of windows are popping up without me opening them and it turns into complete chaos. Even after restarting it happening the same. Its been 2 months since i bought it. please solve this or tell me whats happening.

Hi,

I have a ZBook 17 G2 and  its plugged into a docking station. Its been fantastic, however, seems wth the last update it installed on 9/25 (Intell Wireless LAN) my mini-display port no longer functions when plugged into the station. I've a dual monitors plugged into the dvi output on the dock, and I had a mini-display port plugged into a large external LCD (to show clients projects up on a big screen). I had been working totally fine- being able to see an extended desktop on both the two regular monitors )plugged into dvi output on the dock) and the larger one plugged into the mini-display. 

If i remove the laptop from the dock, the mini-display port functions again, so I know its nothing wrong with either the external display, the cables or the the mini-display->HDMI adapter. 

Any idea how i can roll back that update? I think its the culprit, as it was functioning totally fine until it was installed.
