So I had to do a fresh installation of windows in my laptop. It has both intel and nvidia graphics. I downloaded the latest nvidia 372.70 driver from nvidia's website and installed. And ran a windows update that downloaded latest intel driver. All was fine. Next day, when I started the laptop, I got a blank screen at startup and finally a BSOD with "driver irql not less or equal" error. Did some google. Used a software, whocrashed. It said nvidia driver caused the crash. I then googled some more and somewhere found that I had to use the exact driver from manufacturer's site. So, I then downloaded both intel and nvidia driver from hp's site where i think nvidia driver is 354.something . Removed the drivers from laptop using Display Driver Uninstaller. And then installed the drivers from hp's site. Still then I get the bsod again; this time it says something wrong with nvlddmkm.sys. What can I do ?

When using my new LG LG 27UD68-W 4k IPS panel with 15-bc008nc via HDMI calbe (only option with this laptop)
- on 30Hz colors on panel are OK, BUT there is visible lag and a lot of dropped frames while playing wideo. I'm able to set/switch output format (color space) between RGB or YCbCr444 and change between Full Limited Color
BUT
- on 60Mhz even there is drop down with RGP/YCbCr444, what ever I choose Current Color Space is always on YCbCR420 which then produces terrible user experince as details /like white lines on black background renders on some parts as blue, which makes this mode unusable for desktop work,but yes response time is ok and video playback also ).
Mentioned behaviour can be verified not only in Nvidia control panel, but also by vieving pictures like

According to specs this laptot should have HDMI 2.0,WHER YCbCr444 or full RGB should be working on 60Hz 4k without any issue.
You can basically simulate this behaviour on Widows10 or even on Linux (I tried ubuntu 16.04). I'm using nvidia driver v 370.28. My VBIOS version 82.07.9b.00.6c.
So would be possible to get upgraded VBIOS for Nvidia 960M? (I saw on net that upgrade improved frequencis on similar cards).
Or may be I just missed something? And yes I've enabled HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color in monitor menu (without it only 30Mhz 4k was possible) + using high speed HDMI cable deliered with LG panel.

Have a horrible(constantly blinking) black box instead of previous thin line when typing - it was normal earlier today and then just appeared. Can't find out how to get rid of it. Internet suggests it is something to do with 'insert key' which I can't find. Has anyone else had his problem and managed to sort it?
Hi, I installed Win 7 64 bit to my computer. Im not able to see the options to either increase or decrease brightness on my PC. please help me out with this, issue seems to be small but couldnt do anything. I installed all available drivers, but couldnt find display drivers for my model. I tried certain steps from google to.. nothing helps!

I need all the drivers on W7, especially video.
If I'm not wrong, my laptop's GPU recently failed. That is, while I was rendering a video on SVP 13, the screen suddenly went black (but the laptop was still running). I waited for about 10 minutes before manually switching it off and on again, since the problem wouldn't go away.
Here's my concern, and I would be very thankful if someone could help me, since I've searched online for solutions but haven't found any:
After manually rebooting my laptop, it's been working fine. The only thing wrong with it is that the colors it displays when playing video files look way more saturated (if that's the right term) compared to normal. But that's only when playing video files native to my computer. Online videos (such as YouTube videos) look completely fine.

This is the first time this has happened. Should I reinstall my graphics drivers? Or what else should I do? I would really appreciate any input on this matter. Thank you so much.
As many others before me, it would seem, my brand new Envy 360 has problems with its display rotation and tablet settings. I have read the other posts and none have solved my problem. I am running Windows 10 (pre-installed on arrival) , AMD Radeon R5 Graphics and AMD Dual-Core A9-9410 processor (so please don't point me towards any Intel links/settings.
1. I AM able to select 'Tablet Mode' from the settings/notification box.
2. I am NOT able to select rotation lock - It is greyed out whether I am in tablet mode or not. I have tried going to settings, control panel and from the notification panel and in none am I able to change the option. It is there but no availble to be changed/clicked.
3. My device doesn't automatically ask me if I want to switch to tablet mode if I flip the screen right back (although I can do this manually as mentioned above)
4. My screen doesn't rotate automatically when in tablet mode or tent mode if I bend the screen partially or fully back (not sure if that means tent mode just isn't working).
5. I CAN manually rotate the screen in the settings by selecting Landscape (flipped) and apply then have to switch it back when needed.
6. I have checked that my drivers are up to date and carried out all the windows updates that my laptop needed when I received it (brand new) last week.
7. I am shocked at quite how many customers have this complaint, especially in new devices and not cheap ones! This is my first experience with HP and so far not a good one. The main reason I opted for this device was to have these tablet/screen rotating features and they don't work. The customer care line is only open Mon-Fri during my working hours so I can't even phone to speak to a real human. I cannot fathom why, after so many complaints and faults, this issue is still arising over a year on.
Please sort it out HP.
I Upgrade the Operating system win 8.1 64 bit to win 10, but the driver of Graphics card is not available on the hp site, Please help me.
I am using 10.18.14.4414 Intel-HD driver for my HP 15-r061ne Notebook . It has Nvidia Graphis card2GB and 6GB of Ram but while using just chrome for browsing system hangs and shows error with display driver.
I tried updating the driver from below URL but that didn't work

But nothing worked out. Went to HP service center got to know that my PC isn't under warranty and the representative was suspecting some Hrdware issue. I tired HP hardware diagnostics and everything is working fine as per the utility.
Now I have disabled Intel driver but ater that I am not able to adjust the brighntness of the screen, it is more than 100% kind of directly powered.
Any help will be appreciated
I bougth the laptop about 6 months ago and now suddenly the screen died. When i contacted customer support a guy came to my house and examined the laptop. He then told that while the rest of my laptop is still under warranty the warranty of the screen has expired.
How the hell is this possible that the rest of my laptop is covered in the warranty but the screen warranty expired?

Last month I bought a brand new HP Envy 14 j107 tx, My screen starts flickering while shifting, minimizing, closing the application windows. I did speak to HP service center and followed their steps for twice
1. Updated Bios software
2. Re stored to factory settings.
But still problem persists. And i m unhappy with the service provided.
And also i m unable to create a recovery driver for my laptop, which when discussed with HP customer care support center they have checked it from their end and have ordered a recovery DVD, but whole point of discussing with the customer care doesnt even bother whether " DVD Drive" is available for this particular model. They dont accept their problem, for a brand new laptop why should screen flicker? & Why DVD Recovery driver is not getting created?
And now i also founded that My laptop is given with Touch assistance - Where in there is no inbuilt software for this in my laptop... How to download "Verisoft" > My Identity software.
To conclude I m unsatisfied with the product, Any one with same Problem?
Some HP representative should answer why is this happening?

I have encountered the same problem as others in this forum. The base of my laptop has started to separate in the upper left hand corner next to the hinge. I can push it closed when the laptop is closed, but it separated again when I open the laptop. My laptop has never been dropped or damaged in any other way.
