Over the past 2 days (no updates or software changes) my laptop has been randomly minimising or shutting down programmes, the mouse pointer (touchpad or wireless, I have deleted and reinstalled each in turn) frequently shoots to the top right of my screen (sometimes I can bring it back easily, sometimes not).  Sometimes 'bubbles' appear there at the same time and the action centre randomly appears.

 

I have done a full antivirus scan, also a malwarebytes one, with nothing to report on either.

 

Please help, as I am finding it almost impossible to complete any work on my machine.

Hi,

 

I'm having a strange issue with my control zone. One day I am able to click on the pad , but the next day I am not. I don't know why I'm no longer able to click it, and I do not like tapping it to right click for things. Is there a way I can return the clicking feature?

I bought this PC a few days ago. It randomly displays garbage - see attached image. THis affects browsers, email and some other apps. Mainly when I have switched between apps or opened a dropdown.

 

Is this something I can fix with an update, or do I need to return this PC for a refund / replacement?

Hi there,
I bought an omen notebook 15 ax000na is working perfectly, but when I put the battery charger , the screen will flash between on and off , are really blink of a second , but when I put the charger it happens constantly .

already updated the graphics adapters , bios and everything. When the tv via hdmi , on TV everything is ok , but the notebook screen still blinking.

Does anyone know what would that be , can help me?

My computer's been running Windows 10 for quite some time; however, I've had this issue since upgrading (and even before). When I attempt to update the Intel HD Graphics driver provided by HP support, I get the following error message:

 

"Computer does not meet minimum requirements"

 

The driver is downloaded from the HP support page for my laptop specifically (I let them identify the computer and verified the model in the computer info). There are a few options available, but when attempting to install any of them, I get the same error.

 

My current driver is dated 8/24/2015 (which is getting too old to run certain graphics intensive software). All my other drivers are up-to-date, no problems there.

 

Troubleshooting attempted:

• Update all other drivers (including BIOS)
• Scanned for malware (unlikely, but it's possible that coule have an effect)
• Downloaded each driver and attempted to install them
• Removed the current graphics driver and attempted to install updated driver
• Tried updating through the device manager and HP Support Assistant, both have determined the driver to be fully up-to-date (disregarding the driver that comes out that day).

 

Any other thoughts or suggestions would be great, thanks for your help!

                 WHILE PLAYING ANY VIDEO(ONLY VIDEOS)IN ANY PLAYER. IT STOPS FOR SOMETIME. IT IS VERY IRRITATING.I HAVE PURCHASED ON JULY 8 2016.

I HAVE UPDATED ALL DRIVERS TO LATEST VERSION . WINDOWS ALSO. I HAVE DONE ALL THE PROCEDURE TOLD BY CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE . ALSO HANDOVERED THIS LAPTOP TO SERVICE CENTRE . BUT ALSO I AM FACING SAME PROBLEM . THIS PROBLEM STARTED AFTER 15 DAYS OF PURCHASE . IF THIS PROMBLEM IS NOT SOLVED MEANS I SHOULD TAKE ACTION AGAINST HP.

So HP has released driver pack for for my pc Aug 26 2016 , but they use driver version 20.19.15.4360 Rev.A released by Intel 9month ago. With these drivers lots of apps doesnt work correctly, some game even are not loading at all. So i have to use generic Intel updated grphics drivers. Doing that we are facing tons of problems as to install Generic Intel Drivers instead HP modified old drivers. We have to work around to stop windows 10 automatic driver update as they have the same old **bleep** drivers for HP those takes down computer prformance, gives bugs withing app's and games. Its a nightmare guys and it shouldt be like this, if i want to use drivers those work better i should be able to install them over HP modified with no problems at all, i should not getting errors messages that generic intel drivers for their own cpu and video are not campatible or somthing similar as HP coded to stop peaople installing generic intel drivers or other vendor drivers. HP shame shame shame shame.

Hey all.

I have a HP G1 850 with a HP dock.

When i lock my pc it turns off my external monitors after 2 sec.

 

I want to turn it off but i have turned screensaver off and turned "sleep" off in power settings.

 

Can you help?

I have an Envy x360 15t-w000 purchased a little over a year ago.  Product number K8Q06AV.  I recently cracked my screen and am having trouble locating a digitizer.  I do not need an LCD, just the digitizer.  Could you possible tell me where I could purchase one?

IHi, I have bought this laptop from UK 8 months ago. I am currently in India. The laptop is not getting on. My HP ENVY 7640 sounds like it is on, but there is absolutely no screen display. I have unplugged it and plugged it in directly to a wall outlet several times to no avail. How do I fix this?   I am thankful for any and all suggestions.

My laptop screen went black otherwise the laptop seems to be working. My friend said I could connect an external monitor and hit fn key and f4 key and It would connect to external monitor. I made the connection and hit both keys but to no avail..

Recently I've been experiencing my brightness change depending on what is on the scren (i.e. If the background is a darker color like dark blue or black the brightness goes down, while if the background is a lighter color like white, it returns to the original brightness/gets brighter).
I want to disable it. I find it very bothersome.

I tried looking into solutions and came across http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/How-do-I-disable-auto-brightness-of-the-display/td-p/1888063 but the solution provided isn't available to me. I went to control panel and followed the steps some of the replies stated, but the options said to follow are not there - specifically, there is no "Appearance and Personalization" menu in my control panel.

It could still be something with the AMD (not quite sure what that is anyway, except that it's apparently private). But as I said, I have no idea how to go about doing this  - since those steps didn't work.

Help would be much appreciated.

 

Edit: I tried following another step listed (at a link location someone put) and found Adaptive Brightness in power settings. They were already off...but I turned them on then off again...so we shall see what comes of it.

My device is Widi compatible. So when I try to connect to my Smart TV, all other projection modes work except "2nd Screen Only" where both the screen goes blank. 

 

I've installed all the latest updates of all the drivers, Wifi Intel PRO Sat, Graphics Drivers, latest BIOS, everything. Nothing works.

 

Oh and another exact same laptop in my house, only diff. of screen size, works fine on this mode. 

 

Any soltion would be helpful.

When I powered on my spectre I noticed there was a black, gray, and green line going through the screen. There was no display, and eventually the notebook powered off, and I have not being able to get it to show any display since then. There's no visible signs of screen damage, But it was obvious considering the line through the screen. Please assist me on how I can get this screen repaired
