Cracked Touchscreen

$

I finished my work, laid my laptop next to my bed and closed the lid. I was shocked in the morning when I heard a "snap" upon openning the lid to find a diagonal crack extending from the microphone hole at the top and ends bottom near the lower right corner of the screen.
The LCD part isn't broken, just the glass covering it so the touch won't work. So it needs to be fixed.
I talked to the customer support and they said they can't help me, and this was my fault. Well, Yeah is it my fault to open it ?! Apparently opening the screen is too much for this fragile laptop. It's actually was my fault from the beginning for purchasing HP laptop again, I did nothing to the screen except open it.
It's really problematic product where I I paid around 500$ last time to replace the cracked screen when they also said that it's "Accidental Damage", and struggled with the popular left hinge problem before, and now is this ... There is something wrong with this screen.
I didn't abuse the computer as I did not slam my PC or throw it against something, just opened the lid like I do every day. This shouldn't happen.
and if they saw it, they'd know.
it's not the first problem and it's not the first hp laptop, but apparently it's the last one.

Touchpad FREAKING OUT!

I'm not sure if this goes in this section but bear with me...

Over the last few days my touchpad has been FREAKING OUT. I've had issues with my touchpad pretty soon after I purchased (reaction really slow, having to press more firmly to get it to click etc) but it wasn't anything like this. I've even contacted support about the issue and through live chat they uninstalled and reinstalled some drivers a few months back. The issue still persisted.

Well now the pointer is nonexistent on the screem most of the time and when it is, it doesn't want to move.  Sometimes when I can't see the pointer, my screen goes haywire where all kinds of programs and links are clicked, or it zooms in and out when I'm not even touching the touchpad. I can use the screen to select things but if I do it too much, it still goes crazy.

I've disabled and enabled the touchpad, updated the driver, even reset it back to default settings and still can't figure out this issue. Could it be the hardware? I have plenty of virus and malware protection for my device so I don't think it's a virus (just finished a complete scan, no issues). I have searched through the forums and tried some of the "solutions" and it's still acting up.

HELP! What is wrong with my device!?

Lagging laptop..lagging trackpad...just one big lag.

Dear HP. I chose that as my screen name because thats how I feel. You r laptop isn't good at all. Granted i only paid 279.00 for it.  Someone paying 279.00 doesnt expect the world...just a decent laptop. I have the best internet available. I don't have any programs eating memory. I even went to an earlier build and still your laptop lags. I have lost money on deals conducted online because I coudnt conduct business due to lag. Screens even freeze up for a few minutes. Now I am writing this because calling your customer service is fruitless. i am telling you now that I WILL no longer do business with you. Hey its only 279.00. Youre a multi bilion company. you have other customers so why worry about this money. And in case anyone is reading and feels offeneded my post comes across as hateful oh well. It wasnt my intention.

HP 15-f337 Forgets Touchpad Settings, Resets Related Registry Setting

My Synaptics touchpad click touch feature is turned off in settings.  I have used the registry editor to set the "DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade" value to 0 (zero) to ensure that my settings are saved on power down (Thank you to forum user DavidPK for telling me about this).  It works much of the time, but at inopportune times it will still "forget" my touchpad preferences and the touch click and finger gestures are re-enabled.  If I go through the registry edit procedure I can see that the "DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade" has been set to 1 (one) again!  So something is occassionally reseting my registry and clearing my touchpad preferences!

Is there any way to stop this Hp notebook from continuously changing my preferences and even my registry settings?  I'm not going to buy any more HP products.

HP Notebook 15-af123cl - windows 10 - touchscreen causes mouse/touchpad cursor to disappear

Sorry this is a weird post. I am struggling to navigate without use of the mouse.

I purchased my 15-af123cl about a week ago. I have two major issues, the most urgent is that any time something touches the screen, the mouse cursor disappears and will not return unless I change the cursor image or restart. I have ensured that external mice do not disable the touchpad, and I have done all of the "obvious" touchscreen conflict resolutions I could think of. I'm at my wits end, as I have two cats and they nose/tail the screen CONSTANTLY.

The other issue I have is irritating and causes work loss, but not as urgent. If the computer is inactive for 180 seconds, regardless of the settings, it hibernates. I have it set to never hibernate, and to only sleep if inactive for 10 minutes on battery (plugged in is set to never sleep). It seems windows 10 likes to ignore a LOT of my settings, including personalized backgrounds, color schemes, file/software shortcut locations, etc. I do a fair amount of CAD and 3d art rendering, so I will leave the machine for more than 3 minutes at a time to let it build. If I dont near-constantly wiggle the mouse, it starts up the screen saver and then goes to sleep. It requires a password once woken, which it is set to not ask for a password after sleep, and once the password is entered, all the applications previously opened are closed/unsaved. I've lost about 25 hours of drawing and I'm deeply considering repairs made by hammer followed by a very unhappy return. Smiley Sad

I'm sure the answer is somewhere in these forums, but without the mouse it's really hard to navigate. I would love a resolution and some help guys and gals!

Hi I recently bought the hp spectre x360 2 in 1 and when I took it out of the box the camera quality was good it looked decent and HD but a few days later it looks crappy and grainy. I want to fix this problem so the camera quality is good again. All I have done to the computer is install microsoft office and update windows so I don't understand how the camera quality changed so drastically.

Backlit Uncertainty

While looking over Laptops to purchase, I read that the Pavilion 17 has a backlit keyboard which I very much need.
However, I find no picture showcasing the backlit keyboard and no visible reference of how the backlit looks or how intense it is. Is there any way that I can have confirmation that the laptop does have a backlit keyboard, and possibly a visual of it as well?

Laptop fell off of bed onto carpet. Video display had blue lines. When touching the monitor it corrected itself. However, later the display wouldn't show. The computer would turn and I could hear the startup sound. Attached to a external monitor and it worked. Then I updated the AMD Graphic Drive and restarted the computer. Won't show on the external monitor and no startup sound. Can hear the fan. Removed the RAM and powered up the computer and heard the mother board beep. What's wrong with my laptop.

graphics driver of hp 15 r250tu (l2z89pa#acj)

(Please read to the end)
My device got Intel Pentium N3540 with integrated intel Hd graphics.
My question is ,on HP driver download website I saw an NVIDIA graphics driver.
I used many hardware diagnostics tools and none can find the nvidia graphics.
Later I found on several other driver download sites I saw that the driver is intended for 'l2z89pa' variant of laptop model
HP 15 r250tu and not for 'l2z89pa#acj' (which is in my possession)

Now the real problem : I checked many e-commerce sites(like ebay amazon etc) and the websites which show details of laptops for l2z89pa with nvidia graphics,And I find none .even hp website itself doesn't show such a nvidia graphics for l2z89pa .

Actually where is the problem.
is hp mistakenly published the drivers.Or really there is such a feature

nvidia driver for quadro 4000m makes black screen

Hi,

I have serious problem with my HP 8760W Elitebook.

I have upgraded to Win10 and everything was OK, I was more satisfied as with Win7Pro.

But first time after month and second time after 3 months win10 crashed to repair screen and nothing was possible to do only clear installation of win 7 with disk format.

I use all new drivers and bios - F.62.

So I decided to stay with Win7, but now I have problem with graphics (nvidia Quadro 4000M). When I install nvidia driver (I have tried several versions including 341.95) it needs restart and then I get black screen during start and sometimes blue screen and it restarts  again. Only thing that will help is to use F8, start windows in safe mode and remove nvidia driver. Then it  again automatically load standard vga graphics driver. It uses only 16MB of memory, allows to run in 1920x1080 mode, but nothing more. Windows experience index is 1 due to graphics. What can I do to start running my nvidia quadro 4000m?

Thank you very much.

My Synaptic touch pad pointer is all over the place opening and closing sites I am on or not on.  It is erractic to say the least.  I have up-dated all drivers and software available.  Right now as I am typing the pointer leaves does whatever it wants to do.  Tried the freeze sofware doesn't work.  Can I uninstall Synaptic and installanother touch pad driver? I have spent weeks trying to resolve this.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
