I purchased this laptop with a touch screen against my will, I hate touch screens they are just another thing to break. But the price was right. Now my daughter smashed the LCD and digitizer. I want to replace it with a non touch screen LCD. Is this possible? Any advice would help. Confirmed the laptop still functions through hdmi out.

One white horizontal line in HP 620
How can i remove the one white horizontal line in my laptop HP 620, i saw the line when i watching movie in the net yesterday, suddenly the white horizontal line is coming to my screen. if i open the laptop the line not showing if screen backgroud is white, like normal screen, but if u go to the dark background you can see it properly the horizontal line. How can i fix this problem? please i need anyone help. thank you

Spectre x360 Line in Middle of Screen After Windows 10 Anniversary Update
I just installed the Windows 10 Anniversary Update on my laptop and there is now a blank (white or black, the color changes) line going across what appears to be the exact middle of the screen. The line is not solid and actually changes the parts that are working (correct color) and not working (wrong color, white or black). It looks like the line is only one pixel high but it goes acorss the whole screen. I need to be running the annivaersay update so I have not tried reverting back yet. I will update this thread when I have a chance to give that a try. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Any other ideas to try and fix it? Is this a good excuse to update to the Razer Blade Stealth?

wireless laser comfort mouse
My hp wirless laser comfort mouse scrolls horizontally and vertically but exhibits strange behavior. By strange I mean the pointer does not respond when it hovers over minimize, maximize or exit buttons on opened windows of applications. Also, when I remove it, this behavior persists in my laptop using its touchpad and so I have to reboot and omit the use of the comfort mouse entirely. What causes this?

HP TouchSmart Screen Not Working
Same problem as some of the others with touch screen not responding. It works part of the time and then stops. BUT this is the weird part... if I press control/alt/delete and select Task Manager then select "X" to close the box (without doing anything), the touch screen will work again. It used to work for a day or two at a time. Now I have to do the Task Manager thing about every 10-15 minutes. It's driving me nuts!! At most I have my email and maybe 2-3 browser tabs open. I am in no way a techie person. If someone could help me using plain English that would be wonderful. Or tell me this thing is dying and I need a new one.

active stylus with spectre x360
I received my HP Spectre x360 - 13t-4200 CTO one week ago as well as a new HP Active Stylus. I purchased both directly from HP. I have tried four times with tech support to help me get the stylus to work. Despite being assured that the stylus in indeed compatible with this laptop, they have not gotten it to work.
The only solution they have come up with is to reset the computer to factory settings wiping out everything I have spent hours doing to migrate to this new laptop. In asking them what doing the reset will resolve, they do not know, but that is the fallback answer. I have received so much conflicting and silly information from tech support staff who actually are not famililar at all with the problem. They have updated the Intel video drivers and attempted to install firmware for the 15" Spectre but still no success.
Does anybody know the steps to getting the stylus setup?

Laptop keyboard freeze
I have a touchscreen laptop and a couple of weeks ago I noticed that whenever I was lifting or moving my laptop (for eg. from one room to another) with the screen open, the display was rotating and remained like that without turning back, rotated at 90*. After several times I locked the rotation so it won't happen again. No it started the keyboard and the mouse thouch pad to stop working after I lift the latop. The mouse cursor on the screen is disapearing and is not working. The keyboard as well is not working, I pressed "caps lock" to check if the led lit, but it doesn't. The touchscreen is working tough. If i reset the laptop is still not working. The only way to remedy this is by shutting down the laptop and switch it back on. Does anyone has a solution for this issue or a diagnostic, because I'm starting to get annoyed, having to switch it off and on several times a day, especially if I have work in progress. I haven't installed or update any major software or drivers. Can it be some fault with the gyro or other protection hardware inside?

lid closed : remote access shows intermittent black screen
Hi,
When I access my pc from teamviewer, if the lid is closed, I get intermittent black screen (like one second normal, one second black screen, and so on).
I have to keep my lid opened.
What can I do ?
It's a new pc, and I have the most recent bios.

External display flickering sometimes
Hi,
I have an issue with my external HD display flickering sometimes. Actually it goes black every 2-3 minutes and then it comes back to normal.
The connection is via HDMI cable and it happens on every display i connect. it is the same if I go in extended mode or just single external display with laptop lid closed.

I just want to know how to keep HP Solution Center from popping up constantly to tell me my printer is low on ink. I used to just go there to check ink levels, but now it wants to tell me several times a day.

False screen resolution!!!
My screen resolution setting says I'm at 1366x768 - which is the recomended setting - but there is a yellow cation triangle under it that says "your resolution is lower than 1280x960 - some items might not fit on your screen". I only have 4 options in the dropdown resolution slider:
1366x768 (recommended)
1360x768
1280x768
1024x768
Even though it gives me these options and the resolution is set at the recommended setting of 1366x768, my actual screen resolution is CLEARLY below 1280x960. Even when i go into advanced settings and click "list all modes" that ALSO says I'm at 1366x by 768, True Color (32 Bit), 60 Hertz.
In Screen Resolution menu, the Display option says Mobile PC Display, but in Advance Settings the display tab says the monitor is Generic PnP Monitor.
Drivers are also all up to date.

HP Repair - Laptop not found
My laptop under warranty had issues with video, sound and over heating etc. I sent it in for repair towards the end of the warranty and packed it in the HP box that came for it. It reached the first repair centre and after around a week I was informed of a delay of another week. When that day arrived I got an email from HP saying they were sending the laptop to another HP repair centre in Jeffersonville, IN and have had no word from them after that.
I called customer support twice but they have been extremely unhelpful and followed scripts that basically state they can only raise queries but wont give me any contact details of the new repair centre or estimated time for my laptop. The CSO status page had my previous CSO number cancelled and anew one which available which states that my laptop still hasnt been received by HP. I'm afraid the new repair centre either didnt log it in or my laptop has been lost since it's been over a month that I sent it away. Any idea on how I can go about trying to get my original laptop back or speak to someone knowledgable about the issue instead of someone who follows a script 10000 miles away?

HP Spectre x360 Freezes after scrolling too fast
My hp spectre x360 is purely used to write papers and perform internet searches for school. It frequently freezes or the graphics freak out when I am scrolling on the track pad too fast. The only way to fix the issue is to restart my computer, and it is ANNOYING. I have Windows 10 64-bit OS, 8.00 GB RAM, with intel core i7 CPU.
