me too, i already tried all the procedure, like hard reset, clean install, enabling HID Touchscreen, reinstall HID Touchscreen and so on.
please help, i bought this laptop (pavilion 14 n-033tx) because the touch screen!
Before my recent reinstall, I was using a 2nd monitor with my laptop, where my 32" was the main display, but the laptop 14" screen would displaying other instituted programs e.g PDF file. It was easy to do this setup and I loved this multitasking.
After a recent Win7 reinstall and updating the AMD adapter I am enjoying great resolution in display on the laptop screen, but I am not able to repeat the simplicity with which I did it before.
The 2nd monitor is connected thru an HDMI cable. Whether with Extend Display or Duplicate Display, if I use laptop screen as the main, Desktop shows the program icons and Taskbar, but when I switch the main display to the 2nd monitor, Taskbar disappears and the same program icons go beyond the screen. When Screen Resolution is clcked on the desktop, both the monitors show side by side, but Monitor 1 is 32" 6x9 format with correct name and resolution, when it should be the 14" 4x3 of the laptop. "Detect" & "Confirm" also testify them to be 1 & 2, but sizes are opposite.
I rebooted without the 2nd monitor hooked and as would have been expected, it displays the laptop's screen in its 4x3 format. At the desktop, now attaching the 2nd 32" 6x9 (widescreen), makes the "Screen Resolution" show they are flipped in size, but correct resolution.
This all seems to have been from updating the ATI's AMD M880G adapter
I'd love the capability to use a 2nd monitor
Any help. I'd greatly appreciate
So, i just bought my hp envy from bj's LAST THURSDAY!!! LAST THURSDAY!!!! I closed my computer last night and when i got up this morning to use it the crack was there..... as others have posted starting at the top and going down the right bottom of the screen.... i'm soooooo upset..... this has NEVER happen to me before...... i'm going back to bj's tomorrow and i'm not sure what will happen, but this was a very disturbing situation!!!
The f5 key that is supposed to turn on and off the backlit keyboard is blank. Research informs me, the f5 key is supposed to have three little dots on it. Did I receive an incorrect model???! The advertizement specifically stated "backlit keyboard", huge part of my reason for purchasing this computer. Thanks in advance
Hi,
I've recenty updated the BIOS to F17 and after it was done, the display is connected to HDMI port doesn't display anything and it seems it doesnt detect!
I've also updated both VGA drivers (Inter and NVIDIA), but I still have the same problem!
Any solution to solve the issue? Any solution to downgrade the BIOS?

All the applications are opening in the full screen mode but only the games were opening in the smaller resolution. Even the high end games are not opening in full screen mode. I am unable to changes the display settings in Graphic properties also. Please suggest how can i make the games open in full screen?
I had this laptop original with windows 10 from manufacture and I did downgrade to windows 8.1pro since I need to run a prgram that works only with windows 8.1.
Now my touch screen is not working and can not find any driver, shows no pen or touch input available. Also i did check on device manager and dont see any HID for touch screen.
Can somebody please help me out with this matter.
I have my HP Elitebook 840 G3 plugged into a slim docking station. Every 5 minutes or so one of the 2 monitors i have connected via the docking station will black out for 5-10 seconds. Are there drivers i am missing?
Laptop: HP OMEN 15-ax003n
Monitor: HP 22xw Monitor 21.5" Display
Connected via HDMI
I'm having issues when trying to play a video in fullscreen on my secondary monitor. I'm runing dual screens with the external monitor being my Primary Monitor
So when I play a youtube video in fullscreen on the secondary I can hear audio, pause, play etc but it's just a black screen.
However, if I make the laptop screen my primary display in the microsoft display settings and play a youtube video fullscreen on the secondary monitor it works.... but I can see the quality is not as clear as it should be.
Is this an issue with the graphics cards? It looks like the laptop runs of the intel card and the monitior runs of the nVidia... or do the display sizes just not work together?
Have had the Spectre X 360 since the beginning of June this year. Middle of August the screen stopped working on power up. Tried a hard restart a number of times, but still nothing. Recharged the battery for 12 hours to make sure the battery was full. I got on the forums and found that this issue is a known problem. I managed to dig through the support pages enough to get to an online chat option. Went through some minor procedures in the online chat session, and it was determined I needed to send the laptop in for warranty repair. Got the box and packaging materials in the mail within 2 days. Put the computer in the mail on 8/24, HP receives the laptop on 8/26. From the beginng they have shown a estimated delivery date back to me of 9/02/2016. You go to the current status of the order and it says on hold. They have a disclaimer at the bottom of the page that says different issues can delay repairs and that you will be notified for such a delay? Does 5 days past the estimated delivery not qualify as a delay? The most frustrating parts about this whole process is how the support website is set up to make it impossible to contact a human being, and how little communication has been relayed about the status of the repair. Hence the reason for my rant. A hopeful cry that someone that happens to work at HP might have some helpful information about what is going on with my laptop?
my laptop ink poured on one part of the screen
So I was given this Laptop to format and reinstall Windows 7 and chose to first try the HP Recovery.
I opted for a full factory reset and it ran without interference.
Starting the PC now ends with a crash and BDOS 116. Trying to start in 640x480 freezes with a black screen and Safe Mode does not work because the instalation has to finish in normal mode.
Any suggestions how I could at least start the Notebook in Safe Mode again?
Thank you
Hi All,
I have noticed my screen is lighter in the bottom right corner. Could this be a memory or internal error?

My laptop freeze when im watching videos online. Specially when im watching anime. I dont know what to do. Please help. Thankyou
After a recent mandatory update the touch screen on my Envy started working oddly.
When I select an item using touch it appears to "rick-click" the item instead of "left-clicking." This means that I cannot use touch to scroll or basically browse in any way.
This problem is occurs in all modes (tablet, etc.) and restarting has not fixed the problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hey HP users..
I have a question (I didn't see this elsewhere)..
But since the last Windows 10 Anniversary (1607) update I think there are some issues with the graphics..
It doesn't happen always, but certainly a few times while working on the Spectre:
I see that letters in text are being "colored black"..
For example: letters with closed round corners like: a, b, p etc. etc. etc. the letter gets filled black.
But when I just Alt+Tab to another screen or scroll in the document, it dissapears..
Why is that?
And are the current drivers already made compatible with this new Windows update?
Hope to hear from you asap..
