I am trying to connect two external monitors to my HP Probook 650 G1 laptop (and use them along with the onboard screen for a total of 3 displays). Plugging one monitor in via VGA works fine. However, when I plug a second into the DisplayPort, the first monitor turns off and both external displays say "No Signal".

I was unable to find a clear answer in the product spec, but it appears there may be a limit of 2 screens using the onboard ports (including the laptop screen). HP support was completely useless in answering my question and linked to the same spec document that did not have the answer.

So, I tried using a USB adapter to provide an HDMI port (DisplayLink chipset). However, even plugging in this HDMI cable causes the onboard VGA to disable and both external monitors say "No Signal"

Is there any way to connect two external monitors and use them at the same time as the built-in laptop screen?

I bought my laptop on Febrary and i used only the mouse not the touchpad.

When I was clening my pc, I see thath the right part of touchpad is more inside than the left part; and there is step from the touchpad and the chassis.

I don't use the touchpad and this problem is very ugly to me. How I can replace this problem? How It can be caused by?

Someone of yous had the same problem?

I have a lot of care for my laptop.

Black characters and blacked out text when typing

When I am typing I have text characters turn black or whole lines of text turn black. This happens on all sorts of websites and occasionally within programs themselves. I also have issues where text disappears in Browser tabs.

I have been trying to figure exactly the cause of this, but I am not having any luck. I notice this with both Firefox and Chrome.

I am attaching a screen grab for reference and any system update have been completed.

Hi everyone,

Can anyone help me in identifying the problem with my HP Pavilion Laptop. All of the sudden my HP Pavilion Laptop Display (model-15-n219sa) stopped working with black & white line on the display. I can project the display on the TV screen with the help of HDMI interface but nothing on the laptop display apart from black & white lines. Can anyone guess what will be the problem. I checked the display panel cable / connector found everything intact.

Hi there,

I have two HP laptops - G60 and G61. Both are using windows 7. The G61 has video card issue and shows black screen. Instead of fixing the video card, I just need all files on the G61 hard drive. Can I remove the hard drive from G61 and install in G60? I know how to remove and install, but I am afraid of that I could damage the G60 laptop if I do so. Please kindly advice.

By the way, is there any hard drive adaptor in the market so that I can use it to transfer the file?

Hi,

I'm not sure whether I should ask this questions in this section, but as there is no customer chat I thought this would be most suitable...

I'm looking to buy the HP OMEN 15-ax003na, the specifications are what I'm looking for (Light/Medium Gaming, good for 3D Software and general use), however the Laptop is advertised as 4K Resolution (3840 x 2160). Looking at the Specs, this version is only 1080p (1920 x 1080). Unfortunately, there is no option to customise your specs, nor is there a predetertermined build with 4K resolution on the UK Store.

Thus I'm curious as to why it's advertised in the UK Store as a 4K laptop when there is no option?

If there is a way to get this and I've skipped passed this option - I am sorry.

Please could I be advised on where/how I can do this, I would be most pleased!

I have a Probook 430 G3 from spring 2016 with Windows 10 installed.

After login in the mouse-pad stops working and I cannot enter the apps or use them.

I wonder if I have pressed something wrong at a certain time - re-starting does not help.

Since I switched to Win 10 Pro from Win 8 pro, my lap top is not working as well as was on Win 8.1 Pro. Is there any driver for AMD hybrid graphics for win 10 as was for win 8?

I have both graphic drivers installed, for both intel hd 5000 and AMD R5 M255 graphics. But the games that were working fine on Win 8.1 now dont work.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I was using my computer one day and Windows performed and automatic update and now my touchscreen does not work. The I2C HID Driver has an exclamation point by it, but when i try to fix the driver uninstall or disable it still does not fix the problem. I went through the troubleshooting guide and nothing works. I've also tried through HP Support and still nothing. Very disappointing to have this convertible laptop and not be able to use the main feature o purchased it for because of a technical issue. Please HELP!!!!! Also says there is not pen input for this device which has to be wrong because it is touchscreen capable.

Hello, I'm in trouble with this issue. If someone can help me I appreciate a lot. Thank You in advance.

Notebook: HP ProBook 455 G2 L3P93ES#ABZ

Problem: windows revert AMD R6 and R7 video driver to older version than windows update install. In revert process the screen come black and stop here.

Procedure I've follow:

update bios to the latest version (M75_0141.bin)
fresh install by the USB boot drive created by HP Cloud Recovery Client
Install drivers and programs by the HPSoftwareSetup.exe util
Attach the network cable and upgrade drivers and programs by the HP Support assistant tool
Install Software
Join Organization Domain
Force Windows Update to version 1607 by the Windows upgrade tool
Windows Update

From point 4, randomly, windows 10 upgrade and revert driver from those versions:

15.201.1301.0
15.201.2301.0
15.300.1025.1001

I've not install the AMD specific Video Driver (Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.7.3) nor the AMD Chipset Drivers (Crimson Edition 16.7.3) because when i try in a previous test installation I have got the same problems

To restore the display I have to start windows in safe mode and disable both R6 and R7 display cards then restart. After this I can reenable the cards one at time.

This issue first appare first time I install Windows 10 on past year August (yes, after few days Windows 10 released)

Any help it will be much appreciate because I have to reinstall about 20 Notebooks for the school start day.

Hi there guys!

Im having an issue with the HDMI output of my laptop. Model is HP 14r-003la, was purchased 10 months ago and it came with WIN8.1.

I installed windows 7 Ultimate 64bits a couple weeks ago, and after the windows update process retreived all the needed packages , I verified this issue started.

So, I tried to download the video driver from the HP website, but when trying to install it, says "your computer does not meet the minimum requirements". The OS has Service Pack 1 installed.

I did not find any other post with the same issue. Video is working, but the HDMI output is the problem here.

Would appretiate some help on it. Thanks!!

I am trying to connect my HP laptop to my TV. I have the HDMI cord plugged in, but my laptop does not respond to it. When I click the projector button to change it to "duplicate" , "extend" , or "second screen only" , it will not switch over.

My mother-in-law recently gifted me her old school. She said it was a touchscreen but she never figured out how to work it. When I Google it, similar results (instead of "10" all I see is "10xx##xx" type things) say TouchSmart and are touch equipped. When I look in "View Pen and touch info" it says it's not available.

New laptop crashes to black screen at random intervals

I just got a new computer that runs windows 10. During random intervals the screen will go black, not like it is crashing completely but more of a black screen with the back light still on. The only thing that fixes this problem is doing a power cycle.

This is the specs for my computer:

Intel Core i5-6200U Processor (3 MB Cache, 2.3 GHz)

8 GB of RAM, DDR3 1600Mhz

Intel HD Graphics 520 (current driver 20.19.15.4474)

The name of the model is "HP 250 G5 SKYLAKE I5" and I have not done any sorts of modification so far.

What I have done so far: completely reinstall windows 10 from the beginning. Installed new drivers from intels homepage (I am however not sure I did it the correct way but I got a message confirming the installation and un-installation). Uninstalled the drivers. Restarting my computer several times. What is weird is that this is happening on random intervals. I do not use any sort of heavy programs or anything like that. During the whole re-installation on windows 10 this thing never happened, not even once. Some times it can take 40 minutes and other times it might take 10 minutes before it happens.

My laptop decided today to stop recognizing the built in display, I've tried everything from a hard reboot to updating my bios and checking the driver for my on board graphics card. The touchscreen functionality is still operational and it can display through the hdmi (I'm using it right now) but it will not recognize that there is any display option other than the tv.
