I was wondering if there was a way ro manually allocate the system memory into vram that the APU can use. With the original DIMMs (4gb+2gb) it would allocate 2 gb of it for vram. i took out the 4 gb dimm and swapped it out for a 8 gb dimm, and now the computer only allocates 1.3 gb for vram. is there a way to change it manually?

Well, touchscreen was working when i purchased it even after Windows 10 anniversary update, but few days ago it stopped working correctly. The touchscreen recognize when i tap on it, but it won't work when i try to slide my finger on it (for ex. when i scroll down a web page) it just detect it as a lot of taps.
I'm gettting frustrated of this, i already contacted with HP Support Assistant (Live Chat) they did these things:
-Upgraded BIOS to latest version F.19.
-Updated AMD Graphics Card Drivers.
-Re-installed Touchscreen driver from Device Manager.
It works when i turn off the computer and then restart it.
For the past week or so, the far right side of the taskbar where the "peek at desktop" button is located has been twitching around intermittently. It will suddently get bigger and shrink down again once every one or two seconds, and it moves the icons to the left with it. Sometimes it's the clock thst does it instead. I can't figure out how to get it to stop doing that.
I've tried updating display drivers and updating the computer. Is there anything I can do?
I am starting to think this is a hardware problem. Randomly, a few times per week I get the following error:
EventID = 4101
Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
Typically laptop will recover but sometimes I have to do a hard reboot.
I've updated drivers from both HP Support Assistant and Windows update, to no avail.
Currently running AMD Radeon R7 M260 Series display driver, version 16.300.2311.0
Any ideas?

I am from Iraq. I bought HP spectre X360 from a person studying in USA. The laptop still has 7 month warrenty. yellow tint at screen corner appears. The tint fade out when the laptop in tablet mode, and the tint appears again with normal laptop mode.
please, how can I solve the problem.
Anyone know where I can purchase a replacement bezel? On mine, the left hinge broke and the bottom of the bezel is cracked. I cannot close the laptop. The touchscreen itself is undamaged. Thanks in advance.
1. when i start my laptop, touchpad works fine but after a while it starts missbehaving. right click n left click work fine but cursor is out of control.i have checked if its driver is not updated but it is updated.i uninstalled its driver n installed it back but even then it is not working. i read somehwere if its touch screen is turned off then touchpad works fine but even if i turn touch screen off it does not work.
2.i dont know about other function keys but i use function keys for brightness and volume all the time. i dont know if it was last window update or what else went wrong that these function keys are not helping anymore. These keys still make a pop up sound which means keyboard buttons are working fine.
please help.

Greetings, firt time I've been here. I know how these boards work; no posting for issues that have been answered. However, after asking your patience and forgiveness, I dont know exactly how to fing my query.
Every time I run an audio, or watch a video the computer crashes requiring reboot everytime. This problem has been happening since 2 weeks after purchase (2010) so now I don't use it often, but I want to solve the issue because its just money wasted.
I've been to the website for HP, and all over the net...no clear answer, maybe I'm not giving enough parameters. I've also re-installed OSs from the current one to Linux as dual boot. It crashes no m,atter what OS I'm running. I've ran malware/spyware scans as well.....nothing.
I believe it's a driver issue. I copied Hardware ID PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_1672103C&REV_04 , but this shows only 64 bit as selections for W7. Could this have been my problem all along, as I'm running 32bit?
In adition, are the SMS Bus controllers connected to this, as I don't see drivers for them either.
Again my sincere apologies for this repost. A link to wherever this has been answered will do, and if there is any other info I need to supply for specs, please let me know.

Basically after an automatic anniversary update my Nvidia was on code 43 ,disabled.
I've tried rolling back,restoring windows to previous version,clean installs ,clean installs for drivers,installs via support ,installs with nvidia drivers,Bios updates - Nothing works and i can't work either
any help is appreciated,i can't believe the card is trully dead

My new 13 inch Spectre x360 has blurry text in different apps. The most noticable is Chrome and any prompt up. Ive checked a similar threat, bu in this case scaling down the sizing to 110% didnt completely work. It also made everything very small, so its uncomfortable to read. Also i tried adjusting clear type but it wont work. There are some apps that arent blurry though.
Suddenly from 2 days the applications whichever i opened like word , pdf file or gmail accounts it gets scrolled down automatically , even after system refreshing it doesnt sove the issue. please help me for this issue as soon as possible as i am not able to do my work.

but now I know what's going on.
The problem always happens when the Elitebook has a secondary monitor connected either at the VGA or DisplayPort;
when the PC comes back from sleep erraticlly crashes forcing the OS re-start (W10/W8.1/W8/W7, etc).
The point is that when the PC is at sleep the signals between the secondary monitor and the PC erratically crash the PC.
If before I send the PC to sleep I turn the secondary monitor off and I keep it off until the PC is later awake then the crash never happens again.
The problem is surelly the driver that is not turning the second monitor lines off when sleeping. I have tried million drivers, and configurations; they all suffer of this problem.
