dv5000 pavilion
I have a problem. I have a HP Pavilion dv5000 laptop computer which had original windows XP installed. I bought an upgrade to Windows 7 pro on the internet and the program is working fine except that I can not get the laptop monitor to show anything. I attached another monitor to the computer and it shows everything normally. I have tried to change the drivers to get back to the original with no success. The audio would not work in Windows 7 so I downloaded a windows XP audio program and now that works. I want to do the same thing for the monitor/graphics software but can not do it yet. Does anyone have a solution? Source for the drivers? I have tried all of the standard things such as restore etc.

Severe color banding on new HP Pavilion x360
I've got a new HP Pavilion x360 with touchcreen, Intel i3 6GB Ram. It all seemed normal, until I got to realize that it has a terrible color banding issue. The video card is an Intel(R) HD Graphics 520. I started looking into the video card settings and the monitor, looking for faulty drivers or something to show me a problem, but nothing comes up.
It tells it's working on True Colors (32-bit), and I compared it to my other old laptop and settings look alike (despite the OS difference -W7 and W10).
I work in graphic design, so to me is specially awful to have this 1996-monitor problem in a 2016 laptop.
Here's an example, a screenshot of a simple gradient created with a photo editor program:
In photos, it looks less terrible. However, it still looks as if the pictures were very low resolution.
Any ideas on what I can do, or did this happen to anyone? I'm really disappointed and suprised to see such a problem in a new computer. I have and work with computers since 1998 and I never seen such a thing, never ever.
This is my 3rd HP already and I was never to expect such a problem.
For the rest the computer is really good, in spite of Windows 10.

Periodic scratch in display
Since I purchased this laptop 20 days ago, I found a scratch on upper right side of my screen horizontally about 3 inches in length which is 2 inches down from upper side, initially I thought it was my fault so I tried different cleaning solution and to some extent I rubbed off but still it remain visible. Thereafter I applied screen guard on it to protect further scratches but unfortunately two three days back I noticed fresh scratch on upper left side just beside previous one horizontally.
While going through the case I noticed that while I close my laptop scratches occur due to slight curve on keypad area in case of dirt it create a scratch while get in contact with screen, so basically due to design it is happening again and again.
Please suggest remedy of it.

Videocards problems(R5 M330 amd + R5 graphics)
Hi.
Please help me with me notebook graphics.
I have r5 m330(m430,in fact) with 2GB memory.
But notebook see the second videocard-r5 graphics with 1gb memory(this videocrard is discrete).And every app work on the r5 graphics-discrete(not in r5 M330).
The powerfull is very low,also GPU-Z tell that I can switch on Crossfire,but I can't,there no this point in CCC.
What I should do that apps is working on r5 M330?Or on dual graphics?

Elite X2 1011 Touch screen not working/pen working fine
I am not sure exactly at what point it happened but I recently found that the touch screen on my Elite X2 1011 was not working. The pen still functions normally. When checking the pen and touch settings I can only configure the pen settings and only "Pen support" is listed in view pen and touch settings. The touch screen used to work in both the original Windows 8.1 and then also after upgrading to Windows 10.
There have been no error messages and the event logs do not seem to indicate any problems; it is as though the machine has just forgotten it is a touch screen.
I have tried reinstalling drivers, reinstalling both Windows 10, and going back to Windows 8.1 to no avail. I really loved this little device but ease of use is cut rather drastically without the touch functionality.
Has anyone else had a problem like this and have a solution? Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

Strange Clicking/"Not Responding" Glitch
For some time now I've been experiencing several very annoying glitches that all started at the same time. I've searched the internet for answers, but it seems I'm the only one suffering from this glitch.
This all started soon after I bought my laptop brand new.
- Every once in a while, the window that I am actively using (whether it be my browser or a computer game) will start to glitch in a 'blinking' or 'flickering' sort of way. The program will also say "not responding" until the glitching stops and everything returns to normal. This lasts about a few seconds, and it seems that rapidly/repeatedly clicking may be setting it off.
- Resizing any window is a pain, but only if I'm resizing the sides (corners work just fine). When I start dragging to resize, the window will only move about a centimeter or so before it refuses to move any further. If I try dragging quickly, the window will actually revert back to the original size once I'm done. So resizing windows is quite a long process because of this.
- This is my least favorite glitch. I am now scared to minimize any windows and/or games I'm playing because often they won't maxamize after. When I click on the icon of the minimized program in my tray it will say that it has maxamized when really it hasn't. The only thing that seems to work here is if I rapidly click on that icon until the window finally comes up again, but this only sometimes works.
I think that about sums it up. Other than that, my laptop runs beautifully. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or know how to deal with it? I'd very much appreciate the help, thanks.

I'll try to be brief with my story..
Well I first opened my laptop so as to clean my fan because of the extreme heating. After I finished everything worked fine but just for one day. The day after my laptop got stuck in the windows flag while opening. I tried everything: i tried to restore it to another point but the same thing happened, then I made a recovery which didn't also solve the problem and finally i tried a total recovery which stopped twice in the middle for unknown reasons.
Anyway I decided to install Windows 7 64 bit external. My laptop finally opened and I had to install the drivers manually because Windows Update didn't find any useful updates. Every driver was installed except for the ones of the graphics. I tried those that HP provided for my product. Some of them could'nt even start installation while others could end the installation and after a restart my computer could get stuck again in the windows flag. After a lot of search online i found an driver from Intel which installed perfectly (Intel (R) HD Graphics 3000) but I cannot find the AMD one. Every AMD driver I install presents an exclamation mark in the device manager and says that ''Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". I don't know what else to do...

HDMI not registering following Windows 10 update

My laptop auto-installed updates for Windows 10. All had been working fine but on restart the external monitor was not being picked up any more on HDMI.

best stylus for hp pavilion x360 13"
I'm looking to get a stylus for my laptop for taking notes in school, and for just daily use on the touch screen portion of the screen. Cannot detect webcam
I have been trying to use my webcam for weeks. It does not work on split cam, skype or any other webcam based software. I do not know if my webcam was damaged or if this is just a problem with the software.

HP 360 screen cracked
I left my Pavilion 360 running last night and it didn't hibernate (weird)- when I woke up a few hours later, the LCD screen had popped out a bit from the housing on the upper left hand side (even weirder!) so I pushed it back in and closed the lid. When I opened it this morning, there is a crack that starts in the bottom middle of the screen and radiates up and out- going to both upper left and right corners and the touch screen no longer works. It's still under warranty but I know that the screen is not covered. It wasn't dropped or misused in anyway! Is there a known defect?

Two finger scroll and additional mouse options not working
So...out of the box computer.
During the set up the two finger scroll was working, however, once all was finished it stopped (why?).
Tried going onto the mouse and touchpad settings, nothing available. Then tried going onto the Additional Mouse Options. I get warned that "Control Panel Extension is Incompatible with Driver Version" (why?).
After clicking only option "OK" it opens. After a second of use it then tells me " Windows Shell Common DII has stopped working" (why?).
Solutions will be gratefully recieved.

HP envy 4-1230eb blank screen
Hi
I am using HP envy model number 4-1230eb. Now while starting my laptop it is giving blank screen but I can see fan and poser light running. And while connecting to external monitor, there is no display as well
I doubt on windows 10 patch upgrade or norton security update. I installed it and from next morning my laptop is not dipalying anything on screen. Please suggest me solution as my entire work is not stuck.
