Low brightness
Since a couple of weeks back, my laptops maximum brightness has reduced. I kept pressing the brightness button and my screen isnt as bright as it used to be.
Is my LED screen broken due to heavy usage or is it something else ?

Brightness Issue with DV7 Notebook
DV7 Pavillion notebook has recently developed an issue in that it will intermittently boot up at minimum brightness. When this occurrs, I'm unable to change the brightness at all - the slider in the control panel's 'display' settings does not change anything, and using the function keys (f2, f3) display the brightness setting popup on screen but does not adjust the brightness at all.
After reading about similar-but-not-identical problems with other systems, I tried uninstalling the graphics/display drivers and rebooting - this solves the issue most times, but only temporarily until it boots again the same way.
System is;
HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC

low fps and "ping" with my laptop
So i recently bought the HP Pavilion TS Sleekbook 14, product number e0x70ua#aba. i play league of legends on my laptop. My old laptop also an HP idk what model it was because i gave it to my brother, the game worked fine. since upgrading to this new laptop i have expierenced nothing but low fps and ridiculious lag. Ive been scouring through google and youtube to see if anyone has solved my problem with no such luck. Is there a way to fix this?

Hp Pavilion
The laptop was working fine but now comes up with a blue screen saying there was a problem and it needs to reboot but then the screen goes blank and it does nothing. I've done control, alt and delete and it does nothing.

14-1190ea graphics driver for Windows8
I have just purchased this laptop. Was just checking the drivers were up to date and the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 series has an error. Error notes say device cannot start (code 10).
What do you recommend I do? Graphics seem to be working ok and I have to use Windows 8 Professional for work so can't use Windows 7 professional.

graphics problem in hp- N00tx
I installed windows 8.1 yesterday and trying to install both the graphics drivers. But after installation when i try to open the catalyst center it says it has stopped working . But in device manager both the graphics drivers were showing installed.
also there is some problem with the bluetooth s/w!

I purchashed this with the 2GB of video RAM. When I look at my system properties I see I have 16GB of RAM but only 15.2GB usable. When I look at the video memory it tells me 768MB. If someone has this laptop can you tell me if you are getting the same thing. It doesn;t make sense if I have a 2GB video card for it to use system memory and only show 768MB of Video RAM.

13-P111nr x2 game issues.
Just wondering. I've updated everything possible and searched. A lot.
I got this laptop/tablet as a birthday present and I just hate returning gifts. So I am willing to try anything. But if I can't get this going I'll just have to.
I'm trying to get some games to work that should do just fine with the processor, i5, and video, Intel HD 4200.
Just to list a few, but I've tried many. Unreal Tournament 2003, Unreal Tournament 3, Plain old Far Cry, Just any decent shooter would do. I cant get even one to run.
Things that I've tried are, updating all drivers and the bios as well as the operating system, ran the games in multiple compatibility modes. Checked the Direct x, allocated 3gb memory to applications and left 1gb for system, and just about any other "fix" that I could find.
I'm not afraid to troubleshoot or try advanced methods.
Of course it is possible that dispite the system specs that the little guy just isn't going to play anything that would compell me to keep it.
No way am I knocking this hybrid. It is a fantastic piece of hardware. If I needed office or didn't mind the more casual side of gaming this would be a SUPURB machine. I only hope that it can be able to do what I want.
So, thanks in advance for any suggestions. I would love for this to work out.

HP Pavilion Notebook is stuck
my HP Pavilion Notebook is stuck on "press escape button" or "escape pause". Then I can press nothing else so I cant download a driver or run a test. If I do F10 it says "bios" but then again it is freezing and can't press anything. Please advise - thanks!
