Graphic driver
i reload my hp15 f305dx with windows 7 (64bit). The prevous os was windows 10. Currently eveything seems to be wroking fine except i can't find a working display driver. I used a driver installer (driver easy) program that found a driver that matches the hardware but when i restart my system it freezes at the login screen. I then have to force power off the system restart in safe mode uninstall the display driver and then windows would start up as it should. Any help would be highly appreciated. thank you!

740M throttles at 67 degree centigrades
Hello Everyone!
My system is HP Pavilion 15 N208TX.
Ever since I have bought my laptop, the GPU NVIDIA GT 740M throttles at 67 degree centigrades, resulting in FPS drops in games as the GPU and Video memory clocks come down to stock 405Mhz making the game unplayable.
Recently, I compared my my laptop with my friend's HP Envy 15 J laptop which has the same GPU; NVIDIA GT 740M 2GB DDR3 and found that the games are completely playable. I monitored my GPU temps and found that my 740M was throttling at around 67 degree centigrades, while his laptop was not.
I started digging up and end up confirming using NVIDIA Inspector Software that my GPU is set to throttle at 67 Degrees. However, I cannot change the Max Temp.
The settings have not been touched in the above.
To confirm this I used NVIDIA Inspector on my friend's laptop and saw that his GPU's temp was set above 90 degress. The temps remained at 85 degrees while playing games on his laptop.
What all I've tried till now?
I have tried to change vBIOS but could not find any article to do with 740M.
I have tried to revert back to the default OS and drivers but the problem still persisted.
Recently, I cleaned the internal components including Fan using the Service Manual, which did help but temp still reached 67 and throttling was observed.
Questions
Can someone help please? I am having a hard time playing games on my laptop, besides I am jelous of my friend, and I feel like paying extra bucks for dedicated GPU has been worthless.

External monitors go to sleep when docking station audio is unplugged
This is really strange, but when laptop is docked and headphones are unplugged from docking station I'll get a message from DTS Audio application that says "you just unplugged an audio device" and then both of my HP Compaq LA2206x monitors will go to sleep.
The way to recover is remove laptop from docking station, open up to get display, then close and re-dock.
My display adapters are AMD Radeon R7 M260X and Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500. My sound device is Realtek HD Audio.
Is this an audio driver or display driver issue, or both?

adding multiple monitors to my hp spectre
I want to add 4 monitors to my spectre , as you know, the only connections are the 3 usb 3.0 ports, and the one hdml. I am not a gamer, I am a software developer - I need the monitors to have examples, text of source code, etc. just boring stuff like that. My question is - what is the best way to add the monitors? Obviously , one is going to use the hdml connection , and that leaves the 3 usb. 3.0 connections, of those, I need to leave one usb port open, one will have a 3.0 hub into which will be plugged the mouse and the keyboard.
So that leaves one usb 3.0 port to handle three monitors. Two questions, 1) can I plug more than one monitor - into the hdml adapter (using connectors) ? 2) Can I plug in , using a 3.0 hub, the other three monitors using usb video display adapters ?
Again, not a gamer, the other monitors will be used to pull up One Note , or word docs , or pdf notes. Rarely (except during the US World Series ) will I have any video on these monitors.
Ideas? Thanks in advance.

Monitor resolution dissapears after shutdown/reboot
My monitor has suddenly started to reset itself to a very low resolution and screen size, and it happens after shutdown/reboot. It seems like the notebook thinks a second screen is attached. The only way I can get my normal settings back is when I attach another screen through the DVI connector and remove it again. How do I solve this problem?

screen split into 4
please, the machine restarted when i had a BSOD whith code memory management, after fixing it, my HP logo split into 2 one above and one below, but came back to normal, it did this for about a week and this time, it didn't come back to normal again
so i booted to login screen and i saw it was 4 with 2 vertical full screens on the right and 2 verical half screens on the left
so i re-installed the windows but to no avail .
i also updated my drivers buht
i connected it to a external monitor it looks perfect

LCD Flickering

Pavillion 13 laptop touchpad driver keeps failing!
My laptop touchpad stopped working and I tried uninstalling the driver and letting Windows re-install it. This worked, but then after using the laptop for a while, it again failed and I once again uninstalled/reinstalled the diver and itis now working.
Is anybody else have the same problem? Is there a fix/patch? Should I roll back my driver?

Black to red pixels and White to cyan lines on HP Probook Screen
My HP Probook was fine until my bf grabbed it by the screen one day and the black color turned to red pixels while the white color turned to cyan horizontal, gritty lines on the screen. I took it to a computer repair shop, but I do not trust their ability to diagnose my laptop. Their suggestion was that I replace the screen. My laptop is not overheating and has no other issues other than this display issue. I would greatly appreciate it if someone can give me a repair procedure or even tell me what is really wrong. There are no cracks or dents in the screen as far as I can see.

Can't see full screen
I was getting a white screen when I turned the computer on, I dissassembled everything, unplugged, then replugged the screen connection cord back in. The laptop booted up, no white screen, but now I can't see the full screen. I cannot see any of the bottom and right side of the screen, can't see the taskbar. I tried to change the resoltion, that didnt help. I can still click on everything on the taskbar, but can't see it. Maybe I didnt put something back together correctly? Any suggestions are apprecited!
