hp spectre 13 pro screen replacement
Hi All,
I am attempting to get a quote to get a cracked touch screen on my hp spectre 13 pro replaced.
for the past couple of hours I have been searching the HP website for an out of warranty repair service.
Now I have managed to find the page, I've cliked 'laptops' but then there is no option to get a quote. Am I missing something or do HP no longer repair out of warranty machines?
If so, does anyone have any advice as to where to go to get a quote?

Can't Update Display Drivers
I was using an 8560p and my integrated graphics fried in some way. Clearly a hardware failure. So I had an unused 8570p at work, from a previous employee. No big deal, I'll just bounce my HDD over and update the drivers and carry on. No, not happening. The system will boot, but it has no native display drivers. I'm only able to see the screen because it's utilizing an old Air Display install, which has an atrocious resolution, and cuts the bottom of the display off. Most of the devices are unidentified. The install disc that came with it is here, but it doesn't have graphics drivers included in the hardware drivers section. The display works if I do a clean install of windows, so I know the hardware is good, and the drivers can be installed, but I want to be able to recover my work environment as it was I, instead of starting from scratch. I also can't update the BIOS because I'm locked out by the administrator BIOS password. Please assist.

Screen goes white when start laptop
My computer was working fine the last time I successfully used it, which was about 24hrs ago. Today, I opened the laptop, and when the screen turned on, it was solid white. Tried CTRL+ALT+DEL, Windows key, etc but computer did not respond. Had to hold down power button to restart -- screen went straight to white when it turned back on. Tried to get to Safe Mode by restarting again and pressing F8, no luck. Tried letting the computer just sit with the white screen, nothing happened.
I honestly have no idea what could have caused this. No error messages, no recent updates or installations, etc.
Any suggestions?

and resolution on Monitor is 3440x1440 @30HZ
is it posible to get it at 60HZ somehow?
I tried to connest with HDMI > DP cable but then there is no signal

Mousepad don't work at HP Pavilion 13-b030nz
Hi
I have a problem with my notebook and the touchepad.
When I restart my laptop, the touchepad work. But if i close the laptop and open it agian, the touchepad don't work anymore. The laptop work always with an additional mouse.
Can anybody help me?

Looking for a stylus for HP pavilion x2 laptop 10.1 inch
I've been looking into stylus's for this laptop and I know it has Pen support and besides the HP active pen, i was wondering if it work with any other active stylus. (not wanting to continue using capacative styluls's they don't give the accuracy i want)
Would a surface stylus work?
or any other suggestions I love the look of the surface pro's stylus and would like something along those lines. Thanks in advance and I apologize if i put this in the wrong area, new to the forums here.

Replaced screen - horitontal flickering colored lines.
I replaced my screen Chimei innolix N173FGE - L23 with an AU Optronics B173RW01 v.3 screen. I bought a new lcd cable, R39LC010
i have horizontal flickering lines. If I do a graphic test then everything is okay. If the hdmi is working, than that video is okay. A print screen of the display and then printed turns out okay too.
the bios is up to date. And I think my drivers are too.
is there anyone who can help me?

Why R7 M260 does not work?
Ok I'm having an issue with my PC
First of all I must mention english is not my first language. Now, going to the issue, I have HP Pavilion 15-P002LA (F4J00LA), with Windows 8.1 (x64) installed, Processor is AMD A8- APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics, BUT there is an AMD Radeon R7 M260 as a "Linked" (Dedicated) GPU. It's said that such GPU is used on high performance programs such as games, by example, but I have noticed that none of my games uses the R7 M260, so I went to every forum to see how to "Enable" the Dedicated Video card and some suggestions were:
-Disable R5 from Device Manager (didn't work), instead, it gave me the default driver(?)
-Update drivers (didn't work since they are always updated)
-Understand the switchable graphics works with high graphic demand (tested with third partner software, didn't work), I tried overclocking but the only Graphic card working is R5 and R7 does not move.
-Configure the graphics to Max Performance via Catalyst (didn't work), everything is configured to run in Max Performance
-BIOS (there is no option for Graphics handling there)
Is there a way I can make my R7 M260 GPU work? As I said, I tried everything on forums, I've understood that it only works on High graphic demand which I think is a lie since every game I've ran so far gave me less than 30 fps and running only on the integrated GPU, and just saying, I've ran all my games with high graphic demand (max specs) as wells as low demand (low specs) and in low specs it gives me a Max of 30 fps on every game...
TL;DR
Is there any way I can make R7 M260 GPU work? Because it seems I have dead weight in my Laptop.

HP Spectre x360 left touch pad button intermittently not working
Just bought new HP Spectre 360 yesterday. Took it home and the left touch pad button sometimes does not work and takes several tries to get it to click.
I've reset touchpad settings, I've downloaded the latest drivers, I've restarted computer, I've downloaded latest updates.
What else should I do to try and fix this???

Some keys not working on HP Pavillion laptop
Some of the keys on keyboard have suddenly stopped working. It's mainly the middle row apart from g & h. Other rows are ok. Have installed updates but still the same. Please advise - thanks.

No backlight on new screen (hp dv6 notebook)
I recently replaced my screen on my dv6-6c35dx notebook and am getting no backlight when I start up my laptop.
When I first installed the new screen it worked fine, but my computer powered off and wouldn't start up again for several minutes.
When it started up again, there was no backlight.
I have tried both the new and original screen and have had the same problem with both. I have replaced the cable running from the screen to the circuit board with no improvement.
I am getting a faint image sans lighting, so I know the computer itself work, and the computer works when plugged into an external monitor.
I'm at a loss here and could use any advice anyone can give.

Laptop Touchscreen and windows Start button won't work.
So recently I have noticed that the touchscreen on my laptop no longer works, which I could live with, but I also noticed that when I mouse of the start button in the lower left and I click on it, nothing happens. Can someone please help me with what's going on.

can't find the inverter board in my compaq 510
hi i'm having trouble to figure out where is the inverter board in my compaq 510 or they don't even have one after all? i tried to repair the almost black kind of screen when power on n after connected to a monitor it does display but nothing from the laptop screen. please can anyone help me on this issue pls tq

ChromeBook Touchpad not working
I have two HP ChromeBooks here, purchased in late '14, and recently both have had issues with their Trackpads, number one's Trackpad doesn't want to work at all, can only use the ChromeBook with a mouse connected. Number two's Trackpad works, yet it is difficult to click anything, it does click, if you hit it with the force of a hammer.
Any suggestions welcome!
