Recently received this laptop as my old one died, but it didn't have a hard drive. Installed a hard drive and Windows 7 64bit on the laptop. Installed all drivers and utilities on HP's driver page. It went from saying No Pen or Touch, to now showing just Pen Input Available under Pen and Touch. Pen does not seem to respond, and for the life of me I cannot find what I'm missing to allow touch. I have no unknown devices in Device Manager. Under HID I have Wacom Virtual Hid Driver, and three "HID compliant device" items listed. Under Keyboard, I just have Standard PS/2. Under Control Panel - Pen and Touch, I have no touch tab.

Any ideas?

I have this issue that I can't recreate with complete consistency that has to deal with the touchpad.

Sometimes I'll click the left click near the bottom edge and it'll automatically send my pointer up a third of the distance to the top of my monitor, while not registering the click.

Why does this happen? and how would I disable it?

I am facing a problem when I am trying to reduce the brightness on my HP 15-r205TU laptop. I have the Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate as OS in my laptop. I cannot find the slider of the brightness button when I open the power options in my PC. Not only that I also tried the functional key Fn+F2 to reduce the brightness but it does not works. Please help me to solve this issue.

Greetings,

I upgraded my OS to Windows 10 64 bit version and my graphics card (GeForce GT 520M) does not work. I get "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" after installing the driver. I cannot seem to find a different driver to work. I tried disabling the video card and enabling again. Didn't work. I tried installing the nvidia driver from their website. Didn't work. On your website, i can't seem to find any solution to this problem. Please help me.

Basically, I've had this problem once and it disappeared like 2 days after. I left it at that. Then it came back this time 3x worse. I've had this problem with my laptop's screen. 3 Quarters of it would be flickering and repeating the start bar and it would be greenish or pinkish which made it really hard for me to use. It has been happening for 2 days in a row now.

 

When I on my laptop, the black screen loads up along with the green/pink thing. Then it continues, sometimes there would be a red line on the left hand side. I really hope that I could fix this.

 

 

My laptop is a hp-f039wm. Thank you very much for your concern.

I installed windows 10 and since then I have not been able to download AMD radeon HD 7600m and AMD Radeon 7520G driver. I tried installing it through device manager but I get this reply :windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems .(code 43).please help me with a solution .

When i installed autocad and a rainbow 6 game in my laptop then i find in there graphics setting that only integrated graphic card R6 is working.
The dedicated graphic card in not at all shown in that settings .
Also in the driver manager R8 Gpu is written instead of R7 .
But the major problem is that gpu is not working for graphic purpose in any application.
As autocad 2016is running slow when using hardware acceleration.
Please make my gpu working.

I removed Windows 10 and installed Windows 7 on my E016TX laptop and after that the Device Manager does not detect the graphics card Radeon HD 8670.

Can someone help me here ?

When I push the power button to turn on my laptop, it only respond by turning on the lights (on the power button) and the fan. However that's all it does. No display comes on the screen, none of the keys are responding. Not even the power responds when I attempt to turn it off. Can anyone offer a solution to this. I'm using an hp 2000 notebook pc.

I have a brand new Envy x360 that I've had about a week. The power will turn on but there is no display, no HDD activity and lights on the cap locks and mute will not turn on. I've tried a hard reboot, held the power button down for up to 30 seconds to shut it off. I've connected it to an external monitor via the hdmi port, and i've disconnected the battery for about 30 minutes, connected AC power. Still not display, no bios post and no HDD activity light.

 

At this point I'm guessing the motherboard failed. Are there any other troubleshooting suggestions or should I return it to the store I got it at (Costco) for a replacement?

I have had this laptop for 3 months  brand new I haven't used it in 3 days I take it out of the computer bag and go to open it tonight and the screen is cracking right in from of my eyes ... It was un believable. I going to call Hp and the retailer I bought it from I'm going to see who is going to be able to assist me with either a return or exchange for faulty product  and I have my rciept just ridiculous .

The issue I am having with my laptop is that whenever the charger is plugged in or out, the screen goes black/blank then comes back on. This is known to happen when a hdmi cable is plugged in, but is not supposed to happen when the charger is plugged in. I only started experiencing this problem since today and I am wonder if it is because i had started to display by screen on a tv via a hdmi cable. normally when i do this, i set the screen settings to second screen only, and when I am done, I revert to duplicate screen, then i remove the hdmi cable. I am worried that I have done something wrong. I already removed the battery and put it back in, but I am still experiencing the problem. Can someone please elp me out, thank you.

i have amd redeon display graphics card.display driver also installed already with windows (64 bit) 8.1. but no any game is startup properly .one of them give warning to install video driver either shut down computer same other game cannot finding display mode .

 NO ANY GAME IS START IN NOTEBOOK 15-ac0246tx.

hello! i m using Pavilion 14-n245tx and i can smoothly use win 7 without any prob. But whenever i switched to win 8/8.1/10; hybernation, sleep, scheduled turn off nd shut down doesnt work anymore. The display goes black but never comes back. Incase of shut down screen goes black but the power button, wifi, sound button lights are on! whats wrong with my notebook nd microsoft?

Last year I bought a Pavilion 15 notebook, until yesterday everything worked fine. But recently my display brightens and dims for a few seconds and then sometimes go back to normal. I noticed when I push on the back of my display the colors turn to normal values. But when I release it all the colors are really bright. All my drivers are up to date. Any solutions for this? Is there a problem with my laptop?
