I tried updating to the latest video drivers from the HP website and all I am left with is a black screen...
I have rolled back my system to correct the issue. any suggestions on updating my graphics? the amd website ones cause too many issues with stuff.

This is on the left hinge right now but it looks like the right one is going to go that way too.
When I open up the lid, the front and back halves of the screen assembly sort of twist away from each other and that movement generates a worrisome cracking sound. The displacement reduces to almost zero if I open with my thumb/finger on the left side of the lid.
I've opened up quite a few notebooks over the years, but this one does not have a plastic bezel around the housing, nor any places with concealed screws like underneat rubber bumpers. So is there some "exploded view" of the lid assembly where I can figure out how to open this thing up and re-connect/re-snap/reinforce/tighten screws? to correct this?
I think that just gluing the two plastic pieces goes more to the symptom than the real problem.

Hello,
The mouse on my laptop will not scroll, so I am only able to do this by using the touchscreen which is frustrating. I have recently had HP fix my laptop due to battery problems and now the mouse not scrolling has occurred. Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

Hello!
So my touchpad was perfectly fine until this afternoon, when I realize that I can't click something by just touching the left side of the touchpad. Now I need to press the touchpad, and it's quite bothersome.
Is there any solution for this?
Thanks before

Issue:
Laptop to TV via HDMI not playing sound through TV. Has worked previously but no longer.
Laptop is a HP Spectre 360 only a couple of months old.
Testing:
- Video is fine
- Rebooted machine a number of times, no effect
- Have tried a different HDMI cable (used for PS4 and known to work) no effect
- Have tried on another TV, same issue
- Under sound - playback devices there is no option for the TV speakers, there has been previously before it stopped working, I am not sure why it no longer registers these speakers but video is fine...
- I have tried using the troubleshooting wizard and repairing the sound device but to no effect, TV sound does not register
- I have updated the driver but no change
Next Steps:
- I guess I could try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it but I'm not sure how exactly or what driver
Note:
This issue did occur around the same time I had another issue, sometimes (at least over half the time) I connect to the TV via HDMI the cursor goes mental jumping about the place and I cannot use it. I have tried using an external mouse to no effect, I even had to unplug from the TV and charger and hard reset the laptop several times (I eventually just left it off for a while and came back and it worked). It is not the typing cursor error as I have discovered. No idea on this one either...
Any assistance is happily received.
Thanks in advance.
My laptops mouse is not showing up and i cant fix it.
Hello, After formatting my laptop I have got some problems with drivers, what driver should I install to fix the problem will the screen resolution, I also cannot see when making volume higher or lower on the screen ,
Graphics drivers provided on the download page for my CPU/iGPU fail upon attempted installation.
Currently installed is the one automatically installed from JUNE '15 when win10 first came out...it crashes. Alot. Like every few minutes when i use powerpoint or word..or sometimes just randomly..message goes along the lines of "intel display adapter/driver has stopped responding", screen flickers and things freeze up for a sec and then it comes back. Gets rather annoying when it keeps happening over and over.
Model# C8P47AV
Attempting to install this at this linkhttp://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-15-j000-quad-edition-notebook-pc-series/5387620/model/5388029?ssfFlag=true&sku=C8P47AV to hopefully solve display driver crashes im having with current driver
i receive this error upon attempted installation
I'm pretty tech savvy...I understand and am willing to do just about anything with reasonable instruction. Have even tried modifying text files in a few newer driver releases to match the PCI identifiers of my CPU/iGPU of the working releases for my device, but I think i don't know enough to be able to do that effectively. I can tell that HP uses non-standard naming for those...which seems to be the issue here. Anyway, Spitballing about things I don't know a whole lot about.
I've been having this problem for months. Tried to reach out to intel but they can only do so much it seems.
Hi,
I am using Hp envy m6 and facing problem with screen. 1st it was on butt screen remain blanked and got some tips from your website which was helpfull and it resolve that issue. But now when my note book is ideal it screens go blank and does not shows any thing unless it is forced restart.
The Media Tool went through the whole process but errored out with a message that says, "Can't run win10, Couldn't update system reserved partition".
I am not sure what this is all about. Does anybody know what is going on here?
