I have a HP Notebook -15-ac118ne with windows 7 32 bit installed on it. i really need a way to disable the touchpad while on the pc the synaptic touchpad is not installed + tried to install it it's not working please any help to disable /enable it thank you for your response

Major issues with the AMD A8 6410 APU...
Drivers will update to 2/12/2015 through the windows device manager method.. But AMD driver website will update it to 3/21/2016 (neither one of these driver versions work. still have issues with random frame drops in ALL games and watching videos.)
Probably not even an HP issue. (I have a toshiba)

I am asking a very serious question. My question is this, that my friend had a same laptop as mine, but with a nvidia geforce gtx 840m 4gb, and 4gb ram. Wether in my case my laptop is not having nvidia chip. and ram is 6gb. so the question is this that can I put a nvidia geforce gtx 840m kit in my laptop or not, because of having the same structure of laptop. Any attention or reply will helpfull in this case. Thank You.

I was going through control panel when i saw Nvidia Control Panel in there does it mean i have Nvidia in my laptop? i recenly bought it it shows Intel Hd graphics too (My product name is HP ENVY x360 - 15-w056ca)
I can't figure out how to disable the touch to click setting. It really messes up my typing and scrolling. I have windows 8.1.
Was about to buy Spectre x360 13" with i7, 512 GB etc and FHD screen but HP ran out of stock and now only seem to have QHD with this spec. Am a little worried about scaling issues with QHD. Am mainly using Office 2013, Outlook, Adobe PDFs, Google Drive, Photoshop, Norton. Would these programmes have scaling issues ? Are HP restocking with FHD screens or are they now out ? The US have a Spectre x360 13t with FHD and I can't understand why HP UK don't sell this model. Can anyone advise ?

After I upgraded my laptop from Windows vista to windows 7 ultimate, I am getting issue with my laptop. While booting the screen appears in splitted form. Sometime its getting stopped automatically also.

I'm not able to get wether games are running on APU or GPU or on both. Also I'm using latest AMD CRIMSON 16.4.1 settings.Please clarify me with this.
Hi. I purchased the HP AC 101TU with pre-installed Windows 10 last week. I am suddenly facing severe mouse lagging problems. The mouse is skipping, lagging, not highlighting options upon right click, and basically not in a workable condition.
When I am trying to get into Control Panel to adjust the mouse settings, a prompt screen is showing "Unable to connect to the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver. If you have installed another PS/2 Pointing Device Driver please uninstall the Synaptics Driver by clicking on the Yes button." But I have not installed any new driver. So when I click on "No" another prompt screen says "Windows Common DII has stopped working". What should I do??
P.S, I have no external hard drives or USB connected. Please help.
I have a Pavilion Touchscreen, however i am having problems seeing the screen, I get a glare/reflection so it is hard for me to see the screen well.
is there any product i could put on the screen or something i could do to help so I could see the screen better and still use the touchscreen when i need to?
So , recently my laptop felldown and got damaged . I managed to fix the screen etc etc .
But when I rebooted it back and when I tried to open Catalyst Control Center it said :
"No amd graphics driver installed or is not functioning properly. Please install the amd driver appropiate for your amd software"
And in the dxdiag it shows only 256 MB of graphics (instead of 2G or smtng ) and in the Device manager it shows only Display Adapter for AMD Radeon 7660G
Along with these all the swtichable graphics option in the Catalyst Control Center were gone .
Im sure I have installed all the right drivers provided by HP for my laptop model and I tried reinstalling them each time .
Also when I ran the AMD AutoDetect Utility for dricers , it detected my GPU as AMD Radeon HD 7660G and not
AMD Radeon HD 8670M .
So Is the graphics card broken ?
If so is there any cheap way to fix this (instead of replacing the whole motherboard)

i am not able to use my linked graphics which is amd radeon r7 m360.Due to which my games are lagging my 1gb radeon r5 graphics card is only used in my hp laptop how to forcefully use the linked graphics in hp laptop

I've tried NUMEROUS way to make any version of the Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphic driver work on this used HP Envy m4-1150la machine that works great under a Windows 10 upgrade (everything else was able to be updated and works flawlessly). I've gone back and forth uninstalled, reinstalling, upgrading, etc etc to no avail. I kee getting a Code 43 from Windows ("Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". I've attempted to get an answer from Intel and Microsoft about this issue to no avail.
Anyone encounter this error, or am I just out of luck and have to look into a new product?

I was recently gaming with my HP Envy, when a game reported that my Graphics Drivers are 727 days old (nearly 2 years).
I went to update the driver from the HP website, because Intel says that it won't update my driver and to go to the manufacturer.
When I got there, there wasn't any new driver for me to install.
I would understand if this was a very old laptop, but to not provide an updated graphics driver for a laptop I just bought a year ago? I just don't get it...
Anyways, could you please get the latest HD4600 driver from Intel and modify it or whatever needs to be done so I can use it on my laptop? TY.

I have frequented this forum for years now. Every new laptop I have purchased has been downgraded for the past 4 or 5 years now. I have never asked a question...only read up, which 9 times out of 10 does the trick. I have a problem which I cannot find a solution (if it is even possible).
OK right into it.... I have a HP Pavilion 17 F053us AMD A8 with R5 6410 Graphics card onboard. Immediately after purchase was downgraded to 7 ultimate. After a bit i decided in all my infinate wisdom that a dualboot environment is what i required. Long story short dualboot achieved (win7 Ultimate 64 and XP Pro 32). I am ok with with this setup except 1 thing.... I cannot find,for the life of me a working driver for the graphics. I have scoured this forum up and down but to no avail.Is it even possible? All drivers are for Win 7 and above. In ending I would like to thank you guys for all your tireless work. Cheryl G comes to mind as almost every "downgrade" I have performed has been narrated by this exceptional genius.

I have an Elite X2 1012 G1 with an M5 Chip, 8GB RAM and 256GB Disk. It's a great computer and works very nicely. I just received a USB-C Docking Station. I can get the HDMI port to work but the DisplayPort refuses to cooperate. I've tried dozens of settings, two monitors and two video cables. I increased video RAM to 512mb. Nothing seems to make this work.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look for help?

Hi. A couple of years ago to purchase a notebook HP Envy 15 j003la, after a few months of use this died. In the technical service they changed the motherboard and returned to life.
The point is that from that moment dedicated video card (geforce 740m) stopped having possessed before the performance.
The integrated Intel HD card works much better than the nvidia .. this makes no sense T_T
I installed the drivers and I updated when an update comes out, plus I've already formatted as 4 times since and I never again the same.
Programs open them manually with the geforce but does not work...
Any help would appreciate it very much.
