Tengo un portatil hp g42-281LA y me ocurre lo siguiente:
la enciendo prende y da video normalmente, accedo a windows ultimate y trabajo el tiempo que quiera.
Cuando la apago y la enciendo nuevamente ya no da video,
Cambio la memoria RAM de slot y da video
apago y enciendo otra vez y ya no da video
En otras palabras la board cuando prendo y apago el portatil a veces reconoce la Ram Y a veces no.
Ncesito de su ayuda de ustedes

I upgraded my computer last night. When I turned my computer on today, my computer desktop shows as two horizontal screens with a green line dividing it. I tried to adjust it and it will not adjust.

recently turned my laptop on as soon as it goes black this happens even dark tones the red splotches appear any idea what it could be

I turn it and gives video normally to ultimate windows and work the time you want.
When I turn off and turn it on again no gives video,
Change the RAM slot and gives video
I turn off and turn on again and no longer gives video
In other words the board when I turn on and turn off the laptop sometimes recognizes the Ram And sometimes not.
I need help from you

Laptop backlight not function.

Bulb - OK, tested
Cable - OK, tested
Inverter - OK, tested
VGA, HDMI output -OK, tested
On screen, there is ok picture, but baclight not work. I have disconnected lid sensor also, no differences.
What could be wrong?

I just bought my Hp Omen notebook 2 months ago. And all of a sudden, the touch screen has stopped responding.
When I checked the device status from "Device Manager", I can see that there is a "Unknown USB device" error (in detail: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)).
The steps that I tried for recovery are:
1) Disabled the USB drive, and re-enabled,
2) Uninstalled the driver, and then re-installed it,
3) Troubleshoot hardware and devices through Windows 10 feature,
4) Formatted the hard drive, and re-installed Windows 10 operating system.
I tried numerious things other than the ones mentioned above, but nothing has worked out. I just don't want to believe that my 2 months-old brand new HP laptop pops up this kind of "core" problems that easy, as this issue highlights some serious quality problems for the HP brand. Hope this one is just a software issue, for which you may help.
Please kindly advice on how to fix this issue.

When I installed the OS windows 8.1 , it was working then i installed HP recommended drivers & then suddenly brightness option become disable and keys stop working.

My mouse touch pad is not working correctly. When I try to use it it is jerky and I have no control over it. Sometimes it doesn't work at all. I've only had this laptop for 1.5 years and it has been used lightly. It has not been dropped or damaged in any way. Any ideas as to why this might be happening and how to fix it?

I have never had any problems with my lap before, it's fairly new (around 4 months old) but randomly today my touchpad left hand button stopped working. Everything else works, th touchpad with allow me to hover over things but won't allow me to click on anything, also the right hand button works great too. I was hoping not to have to send my laptop off as it still has 9 months warrently as I have coursework deadlines in the following few weeks. Hopefully someone can help me!
This problem started after a MS WIN 10 update about three months ago.
Before some update I did not have this problem.
If I open EDGE or Firefox or any other program even using COMPUTER to look at my external USB drives.
Right now I have Firefox open and a MS Wordpad document opened I can't click on the Wordpad document
to bring it up on top of EDGE or Firefox I can not get the lower window to popup on top of another opened window.
To make my trouble shooting more difficult is that once in a while everything works correctly.
Then it stops working correctly.
It's as if some flag has been set to keep the window that is on top has to stay on top.
Again. Not all ways.
Now this notebook has two video cards in it.
Intel HD Graphics 5500 and a NIVIDA GeForce GTX 850M
The GeForce was an upgrade when I purchased this notebook and everything worked correctly when it arrived with
WIN7 Pro. After I updated it to WIN 10 it still worked correctly.
I didn't check the Device Manger back then to see if both video cards running together as it seems to be doing now.
My sons self built desktop computer has two seperate high performance video cards in it and runs 3 monitors off
the two video cards, but he doesn't have 2 video cards attached to one monitor as it seems as it seems to be doing here.
I uninstalled the Intel card, I tried disabeling it also. With only the GeForce card working it looks like I have an EGA monitor. Remember them?
Any ideas?

I recently bought a HP Spectre x360 - 13-4159nd and I noticed when switching the laptop into tablet mode, no virtual keyboard shows up. In the settings I've turned on the option to Optimise Windows when the device is being used as a tablet, but this just switches the screen to tablet mode while I'm still using it in laptop mode. The option is also automatically turned off again, when switching between different modes. In the settings -> devices -> typing the option to automatically show the screen keyboard when no physical keyboard is attached to the device is turned on. Is there any way to solve the problem of the missing virtual keyboard?
tl;dr: No virtual keyboard when using tablet mode, optimise function doesn't work and option to show screen keyboard when no physical keyboard is attached is on.
When I plug in a hd 1080 monitor via the hdmi port, the original screen reformats to a small nearly unusable size.
Why does this happen? Is there anyting I can do about it?
I have HP Pavilion dv6 6190se with AMD Radeon 6700M graphic card. I have problem with graphic card driver for windows 10. the catalyst saying that I have the latest driver for my graphic card and win 10 saying "No AMD graphics driver installed or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware"
Do any one have solution for that.
my pavilion 15 is blinking screen when I reduce brightness
I bought Hp pavilion g4-2107 laptop in Feb 2015. Will be half year,Aug 2015,I have had trouble with the screen will go black, the same it does if I power down the system. I have had contacted my resellers,he said he will send it for HP warranty.It takes it about 2 weeks.On it a couple of times it still have problems. Finally,my warranty time reached,and my LCD spoiled again.This was supposed to be a new unit. How can I do?I think i nid a good excuses.
The screen of the laptop is broken. If I plug an external video through vga the mb doesn't init the display. There's no "init display first" option in the bios. How in heaven can I have this PC init the VGA instead of internal panel? It doesn't init the external even if I unplug theinternal screen
I have a laptop with model number HP 14-ac101nx with graphics card of Intel and AMD R330. How can I switch betwwn the two graphics driver, as of now, its always using the Intel even when I connect a monitor or TV on the HDMI port. Hoping for your response. Thanks
My LCD displays blank screen. The laptop boots well because when I connect it to external screen works fine. I belive it is LCD burn. How do I get new original LCD for reppalcement
