I installed a clean version of Win 10 64bit on my laptop. But now the graphics card(AMD Radeon 7670M) is not shown anywhere in the list of installed drivers and also in dxdiag box. I contacted microsoft support forum, and as they suggested I tried installing drivers in compatibility mode and did a clean boot of windows but none of those worked. Can you help me in this regards.

HP dv6 - "HDMI no signal"

$

I own a HP Pavilion dv6-7014nr Entertainment Notebook PC.

I believe the computer came with Intel graphics and NVUDA GEforce GT650.

It has 2 external monitor ports, HDMI and VGA.

I use (2) monitors. One HDMI and one VGA.

The computer VGA port works and the computer HDMI port does not.

Both HDMI and VGA ports worked at an earlier time.

The HDMI connection seem good with a solid plug in to the notebook.

The HDMI cable is good and works on other computers.

The HDMI monitor is good and works with other computers.

The system was upgraded from Windows 7 to 8 to 8.1 to 10

The issue did not appear immediately after an upgrade.

It is unknown what may have happened prior to the issue.

Upon starting the HDMI monitor, the message is "HDMI no signal".

It seems that the computer does not recognize the HDMI port.

Is it possible that the computer is not recognizing the  port and therefore not sending the HDMI signal out?

Is it possible for the computer port to have a broken solder connection on the motherboard?

I believe a broken connection unlikely since my laptop is almost always pugged into my monitors.

Is it possible that it is a graphics setting issue?

How do I trouble shoot this issue?

I feel comfortable with performing any solution.

I do not want to replace the motherboard if it is not needed.

Thanks for your consideration and advice you may offer.

Graphics Driver has stopped working but has recovered....

I have the same problem a lot of people do but I had the issue fixed.  The end of 2011 I downloaded the HP driver from the support/drivers section of the website and that fixed the problem.

Long story short, I no longer have a copy of the driver I downloaded in 2011 and the new one currently on the HP support and drivers site does NOT fix the problem.  I wish I'd have just left it alone but it's too late now.  I NEED a copy of the driver file that was available on the site for VISTA OS that was on the site in October of 2011.

Any help you have give would be greatly appreciated!

P.S.

If anyone out there has a DV7 1270us with an Nvidia 9600m graphics card and does NOT have this problem and you can send me the installation file that would work too!  My files are located at (C:\swsetup) Thannk again everyone!

PPS.

I did upgrade to Windows 7 in 2011 but the driver that was on the site still worked for the issue.
