Hi All,

 

I have tried everything to get my HP laptop to work correctly.  I am an IT person and my laptop will not shut off using the HP Power in Power and Sleep, using Windows 10.  I have update the display driver, tried different settings within the HP Power settings and still no luck.  I have never seen anything like this before.  All of my drivers are update etc.  I am about ready to give this thing away!!!  When I select shut down in Windows 10, my laptop should shut down and not have the power button light on.  When I try to get back on my laptop, it is dead and I have hold the power button in for about a minute before it goes off so I can reboot the laptop?

I have two circa 2010? or 2012 computers and see no need to upgrade to touchscreen at this time.  However i would like to add Bluetooth and WIDI.  I have found i can add bluetooth though an external dongle so that is not an issue but although I can purchase a WIDI Adapter I thought I read somewhere that the computer had to be capable as well for it to work, something about "Miracast" capable?

 

 Does anyone know if there are steps i can take to make WIDI work on my existing computers or will i have to upgrade to a newer model?  I wish not to use a HDMI cable anymore and I have tried chromecast but it is very limiting.

I got a chromebook led screen display on amazon, and I ended up replacing it because I had it checked because one wake/power up it wouldn't display immediately, or sometimes at all. I had it checked and was told it could be the wiring, but when I bought a new one it did the same thing! Is there a resolution setting that I need to reset? I also checked with the provider and they say it should work with the computer.

As the title says, I was wondering what pen would be available for hp pavilion 15-ab292nr. I couldn't find any result on the hp page for this product, so I'm wondering if maybe the pen isn't available.

I am facing this issue from last one month.

The led display overlaps the previous windows, icon and any other previously opened file.

Among three colours, the Red colour appears to be black and darkened.

Anyone please help me solving this issue.

Hi All

 

I need to check If i've blown the fuse on my Stream 11 screen backlight power supply. Does anyone actually know were it is so I can test to see if that is the problem. I've seen a blurry video pointing to a white component on the stream motherboard and it makes sense to be the fuse but just needing to double check expected voltage in and out.

Где то видимо в настройках изменил параметр сенсорного дисплея, а точнее, не работает сенсор на дисплее, где он включается? или какой драйвер скачать чтоб он заработал?

Unfortunately, I dropped my computer and am unable to use it due to password. This is because the touch screen is flickering and though i connected a keyboard and mouse it wont allow me to type or click or use the touch screen to input my pass. My question is, how do i use the command control option to disable my touch screen setting?

There is no signal out from the VGA-port.

I have tried with new graphic-driver but no result. 

I have also tried with lot of diferent cables and monitors but there is no signal. 

The displayport is ok, but I have to use VGA to our projector.

Hi:

My  ProLiant dv7t-4100 has a HDMI port. The original OS is Windows 7. The HDMI port worked before. I recently upgaded the OS to Windows 10. Everything looks fine except the HDMI port. I have already tried on two different monitors with HDMI input but they both say 'no signal' no matter what I tried. The Windows 10 display setting doesn't detect the 2nd monitor through the HDMI port. (If I try to use VGA port, it can detect the monitors.)

 

Could anybody share the experience the way to troubleshoot this issue?\

Hi 

 

When my computer boots up, the video display changes to various colors.  Sometimes it takes a few reboots for it to come on. which could be hours.   I went to a computer store to get an estimate for them to fix it and they needed to know:  

 

Is there a video card on the mother board or is there is a seperate slot for the video card?

Hello!

 

Currently have an issue with 2 users. 

 

Both have a new 840G3 with Win7x64 and all of the updated drivers hooked up to a slim port replicator and with 2 external monitors. For both users they have this weird glitch that causes one of their monitors to flicker off real fast (the one with an adaptor to DP-> VGA or DVI.

 

I ran the FW update for the slim dock, went into the bios and increased the alloacated video memory from 32mb to 128mb.

We made sure we loaded all the drivers (chipset, graphics,everythiong on HPS site), checked for a new bios (none available at this time - latest is 1.04). Also changed the graphics output adaptor for the secondary monitor. I am starting to think for the 2nd monitor we will need a straight DP connection to bypass adapters (the 1st monitor is on the vga port of the port replicator). We never had issues with the 840G2's with this same set up.

 

Any other suggestions? This is such a new machine that i cant find much details on this.

 

 

So the set up : Laptop on a port replicators (lid closed) -> output to 2 monitors ->1 using the native VGA on the replicator  the other using  converter from DP to DVI/VGA

I know that for hp pavilion dv9000 maximum resolution is 1400x900.

Is is possible to increase it? May be someone did it?

I switched on my laptop this morning and everything turns on except that the screen won't display (its totally black). I searched online, got some information and I tried to fix the computer but was unsuccessful. Now I notice that the screen flashes (very fast) and goes blank again when I press the power button. But everything still work fine.

Ps. The laptop shuts down if I tap the power button once and I think that is not right. Pls I need an answer fast.

Few days ago the screen brightness working fine

But from two days its not changing I was checked the update for drivers in the Device manager option showed upto date 

After I was checked some settings in Control Panel in Power Options

But Its not working
